On the 26th of June 2022, to conclude the National Arts Contest, an online Youth Festival was held with more than 71 connections and about 100 youths from all around Africa. The theme for the event was “ Arts and Culture”.

Youth and Student department coordinator, In-yeon moffo gave a presentation on what is real Arts and how to make an art that will reflect beauty and give joy not only to you but to others starting with God. She invited all the artists present to join the movement of the Hyo jeong Culture.

The opening performance was a video of the Drawing process of the Mother of Peace, Doctor Hak-Ja Han Moon, our beloved True mother by a very talented Artist; Kozou Art, Second Generation, who has as vision to impact youths and pass character education through his manga. Also, for the non-members present, a presentation on IAYSP was done by the IAYSP president Cameroon, Hon Victoria Tching-Bobe and she invited them to join us in the journey of making youths create a bright future for tomorrow.

After this first part, we entered into the finals of the National arts contest which was launched on the 2nd of May 2022. There were 3 rubrics; Drawing, singing and Dancing contest. 45 youths registered and after the 1st round, only 15 went to the finals, 5 in each category. During the Youth festival, the videos of the finalists were presented and the winners announced. Prizes were given to the 1st 3 winners in each Category.

The drawing Contest was under the Theme Love for creation and the winner was a 10-year-old girl second generation that did a very beautiful drawing of True parents.

The music contest was under the theme; Hyo jeong heart and the winner composed a song under this theme. The dance contest was under the theme; Hyo jeong dream and the winner created a choreography under the pop remix of the song “Praise the Lord oh my Soul”. The distinguished members of jury gave their commentary and critics on how the finalist can improve their talents and performance in the domain of Dance and Singing. Also they gave words of encouragements and showed the importance of arts and how we members can move the world through it.

The presiding juror, the National Leader, Rev Nchia Kamran, equally gave his congratulatory remarks encouraging the organizers and wishes this initiative should grow bigger and even extend to the Africa level.

The YSD Coordinator, then gave the closing remarks thanking everyone that supported and made this event a reality and recognized the great talents and potential which 2nd generations have not only in Cameroon and in Africa. These talents should not be neglected but used to impact the world and promote Hyo-jeong Culture.

Participants were impressed and inspired by this initiative, which is the 1st of the Kind in Africa. It does not only promote The Talents of youths but make them more interested in Church activities as it is more fun. It is also a tool of witnessing as more youths are attracted to it. The YSD Coordinators present expressed their desire to do same in their Nations.
