True Mother’s Message at the Special Meeting for Heavenly Europe and Middle Eastern Youth Hosted by the True Parents of Heaven and Earth, which was held on 7.17 by the Heavenly Calendar in the 11th Year of Cheon Il Guk (September 1, 2023) at HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, Korea
I have wanted so much to see you. What is the most loved, appreciated, and precious word in human history, by men and women, young and old alike? “True Parents” is a term that comes from providential history, but in general that word is “Mommy.” Mom. The most precious being, the mother, has been hidden in history.
Since the fall of Adam and Eve, history has been dominated by men. Because of this, fighting and war have continued, and the many conflicts between religions have made it impossible for them to become one. This teaches us that men cannot create peace by themselves.
When you look at the Principle of Creation, the Creator created man and woman in the divine image. God gave human beings a period of time to grow and waited for them to reach the point of having perfected their character. On that path, however, they violated the commandment and were cast out of Eden. This was the beginning point of present-day humanity. The omniscient and omnipotent Creator cannot know failure. If God begins something, there must be a result. This is why Heaven had no choice but to begin the providence of restoration, of salvation, through indemnity to restore humanity to its original state.
Many nations have emerged since then. Heaven chose the nation of Israel to carry out the providence of salvation and restoration through indemnity. It took four thousand years; how difficult it must have been! The providence of the True Parents, to find one lost man and woman unfolded through the people of Israel. After four thousand years, Heaven brought about the birth of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son, of whom Heaven could claim “This is my Son.” However, Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, the family of Zacharias, the religious leaders and the people of Israel did not know the original essence of Jesus. The people of Israel and Mary were meant prepare the environment for Jesus, but were unable to fulfill that responsibility. Thus Jesus had no place to stand and went to the cross. Yet he said, “I will come again.”
The two-thousand-year history of Christianity began with people waiting for Jesus, who had told them that he would return. I often use the example of the Apostle Paul. He went around arresting Christians, people who believed in Jesus. Near Damascus, he received Jesus’ call. So began his life as an evangelist, which is recorded in the Bible’s Acts of the Apostles.
Paul even preached in the Greek city of Corinth. When you look at the history of Greece, they built many temples, most of them on the top of mountains. Theirs is a history of people who felt so close to Heaven that regardless of their difficult circumstances and being cut off from the world, they were willing to devote their efforts to the last moment to protect their temples. Despite the human race being fallen, people’s original mind inclines toward Heaven. Their efforts in religious life reflect their desire to go to a place close to Heaven, a place where Heaven can remember them.
The problem remains, however, that Christianity to this day doesn’t know the original essence of Jesus. Moreover, it does not understand the original essence of the Creator. Because Jesus died on the cross and said, “I will come again,” they are waiting, yet in uncertainty. In Revelation, Jesus clearly said that he would come again and hold the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Protestant Christianity originated from Catholicism. In a position of not understanding the providence, Christianity resorted to humanistic ideas and adapted its organization accordingly. How did the communist worldview that “God is dead” emerge from the Christian world that believes in God? Over time, the Catholic church made many errors due to their ignorance of the providence and through humanistic thinking. As a result, the Reformation occurred. It started with Luther and was consolidated by Calvin. Calvin’s argument was that pastors, elders, deacons and believers should unite to serve God. Development was thus inevitable.
The Puritan movement also arose in the course of European Christian history. In order to attend God freely, they set out for the New World. That was the motivation for the Puritan immigration to America. After they arrived in the New World, the first thing they built was a chapel where they could worship God. Then they built a school to educate future generations. And last they built houses for themselves. Despite there being indigenous peoples in America, Heaven supported the Puritans who practiced their faith through such measures.
At that specific time, for the completion of the providence, God created the United States as an environment where the returning Messiah could come and carry out his work. Until then, many countries in Europe were monarchies and feudal societies. People there could not properly attend Heaven. That is why instead of a policy giving all control to one monarch, democracy for the people came about.
When the Messiah said that he would come again through Christianity and hold the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, he meant that he would find the lost True Parents. The True Parents. Fallen people cannot go directly in front of God. They can do so only by being blessed and reborn through the True Parents.
With regard to the coming of True Parents, the only begotten Daughter, who was to become the True Mother, could not come through the nation of Israel—the nation where Jesus, who was to become the True Father, lost his life. We know well about the suffering its people endured in history: for two thousand years the people of Israel wandered without a nation.
The dream of the Creator, Heavenly Parent, is to live in the kingdom of heaven on earth with True Parents and their children. God wants to live with True Parents and then dwell with them in the eternal world. As this is the Creator’s dream and wish, Heaven found and established a new people among whom True Parents could be born, and this is the Korean people.

Calvin established his ideology in 1543 with the Reformation. The only begotten Daughter was born in 1943, and came from a Christian background. That was 400 years after the Reformation. At that time, however, Korea was under Japanese colonial rule. After Korea’s liberation in 1945, the Korean Peninsula was divided into North and South, one side communist and the other a democracy. What you need to know here are the God’s principles of creation. God needed to give the only begotten Daughter a period in which to safely grow, a time to mature.
At that time, in and around Pyongyang, Christianity was actively developing through the spirit and the truth. So I was in North Korea when people were believing that the Messiah would come to Pyongyang. Then we heard that my maternal uncle, who had studied abroad in Japan, had not returned to his hometown [in North Korea] but had joined the South Korean army. In such a situation, if my family—who were practicing their faith—had remained in North Korea, they would have been executed. That is why Heaven led us to go to the South. Looking at the situation at that time, South Korea was lacking in so many ways, including in the ability of its military to deal with North Korea. Yet North Korea was fully prepared to invade South Korea with the support of the Soviet Union and even involving China.
Speaking of Father at that time, he was called by Jesus at the age of 16. Jesus asked him to fulfill what he had not been able to fulfill on earth. What was it that Jesus could not accomplish? He could not attain the position of True Parent. Then Father’s mission is that of the Messiah at the Second Coming. He is the returning Messiah. The returning Messiah can complete his responsibility only by meeting the only begotten Daughter that Heaven has brought into the world.
After all, Heaven had to keep the only begotten Daughter safe until she could make decisions according to her own will. As a result, 16 UN member states participated in the war, and that was something no one could have expected at that time. This was Heaven’s work. During World War II, since the Soviet Union had fought together [with the allied countries], Heaven shut the eyes of the Soviet Union for a moment and mobilized 16 nations to protect democracy in the South. Most of the young people who participated at that time and shed their pure blood were not even 20 years old. For whom did they do this? You should know that they shed their pure blood for the advent of the True Parents, which was the hope of humankind and our Heavenly Parent.
As I therefore knew that Heaven could wait no longer, in 1960 I had to make my determination and assume the position of True Parent. Even so, it was men who took the main roles in the early history of the Unification Church. Why did the Unification Church become an object of Christian persecution? Why did Christians persecute the Unification Church as a heresy when they should have been able to welcome and accept True Parents?
Considering the fundamental nature of our Creator and Jesus’ hopes, the way for humankind to become one is not only through a man; there must be a woman, the only begotten Daughter, a mother. Would the Unification Church have been persecuted if the mother had taken a prominent position? Jesus’ desire was to establish the True Parents through the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Earlier, the MC mentioned the name “Wang-Omma” (“Grand Mom”). It has taken sixty years for the story of the “Grand Mom” to come out.
This is now the era of Cheon Il Guk. How did Cheon Il Guk begin? It was True Mother, the only begotten Daughter, who proclaimed Cheon Il Guk on Foundation Day. The 53-year wilderness journey was too long. So, I had to show that this is the form of heaven on earth that our Creator, Heavenly Parent, dreamed of. In many ways, the conventions of this world serve as obstacles to the work of providence. Still, I had to show this.
Therefore, I began this providence from Africa, which has the most painful story. I am not talking about the Christian world, but the Muslim world. When I went there and we held a Summit and Blessing Ceremony, I said, “I am the only begotten Daughter.” Then the Muslim leaders said, “We welcome the only begotten Daughter. We don’t know about the Messiah, but we need the only begotten Daughter.” And it started from there, in Senegal.
Black people were persecuted a lot in Christendom. Christian white people captured the black people in various African countries and sold them as slaves. At that time, Africans that had been captured were held on one island, Gorée Island. So I went to Gorée Island and held a liberation for them. During that time I mentioned the following:
After the Fall, it was difficult for one faith to spread throughout our wide world. Therefore, Heaven allowed each region to have a suitable religion to guide it toward goodness. The original purpose of religion is one, but neither the founders of religions nor those who have believed in them until now know its original essence. What they need to find is the True Parents. They need to know where True Parents emerged from. The works of Heaven to prepare for the advent of True Parents were many.
India’s poet Tagore came to Japan when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule, but he could not come to Korea. Looking across the ocean to Korea, he recited a poem. In the lines “And that lamp is waiting to be lit once again for the illumination of the East,”[1] what is the meaning of the lamp? It is the words of truth, the words that come from True Parents. I don’t know if Tagore knew 100 percent, but he was one who prophesied that True Parents would appear in Korea. There are many such historical writings.
The way for all religions to become one is to find humankind’s parents, the True Parents. Religion has progressed under the domination of men, and so has politics, but what we need to find in religion is a mother figure, Grand Mom. Once you meet Grand Mom, everything will be solved. Grand Mom is a unique person. I have become Grand Mom to the second, third and fourth generations. I am also Grand Mom to Moon Shin-chul, Moon Shin-heung, and the UPA cadets here. You must become one with your Mom. You must become one with me and change the world!
This is now the Cheon Il Guk era. The course of the wilderness era is in the past. We must create a new history and new culture in a new era, and I have been creating these in various ways. One has to do with the Blessing. In the Cheon Il Guk era all of humankind will have one Blessing culture: “A wedding ring or an accessory should look like this.” This is about making sure we have gathered all that we need to start a new era and a new history.
In the past, during the wilderness course, our first-generation members from all over the world worked very hard. Especially in 1975, when we sent out missionaries to the world, not only American members but also many European[2] members were mobilized. As they have gotten older, some have gone to the spirit world, but many are still with us. I would like to preserve a record of those members who worked for the providence in unity with True Parents.
So, in dedicating Cheonwon Gung and the Cheon Il Sanctum, where people can attend Heavenly Parent on earth, I said with pride, “I will build the HanJu HyoDongWon (Hanju Hall of Filial Service and Character) to remember those who labored throughout providential history. I will remember them forever.” We are creating a place that keeps that record.
If your parents have remained united with me until now and supported God’s providence, their names will be in the HanJu HyoDongWon. Do you understand? It means that there will forever be a record of your parents that says that this person played a role in the core work of the providence, and that this is what he or she did.
Meanwhile, I am now raising up the central figures of the future providence, focusing on the third generation. The Creator gave birth to Adam and Eve, but they failed to perfect their character and fell, and God cast them out of Eden. This means that even those from True Parents’ family, True Parents’ sons and daughters, cannot stand at the center of providence unless they are united with True Mother, the only begotten Daughter.
It is the only begotten Daughter who brings the providence to completion. It is completed through the only begotten Daughter, True Mother, Grand Mom. However, a child who says he does not know the Grand Mom is not my child. Therefore, you must know that I am carrying out providential work through the descendants of Heung-jin and Hyo-jin, who went to the spirit world from the True Family and who established their four-position foundation. I want you to know that True Parents are forever one, and Grand Mom is also forever one.
[1] Mother did not recite the first lines of the quatrain, which are: “In the golden age of Asia, Korea was one of its lamp bearers.”
[2] The main group of missionaries that went out in 1975 were from Japan, the United States and Germany.
