Beloved blessed families and members of our Unification movement across the world!
We are living in an era in which Heavenly Parent’s dream is being realized. Due to True Parents’ endeavors, Cheon Won Gung’s Cheon Il Sanctum, where we can directly commune with and attend Heavenly Parent, will be dedicated in May next year. We cannot imagine how much good people around the world have longed until now to greet this day within God’s protection and love—this one day when the providence of the Cheon Il Sanctum will begin. And more so because of that, Heavenly Parent will continue to build up Cheon Il Guk in order to fulfil His dream on earth with His children, especially while True Parents are still on earth.
Heavenly Parent created the natural world of all things in heaven and earth for His beloved children and blessed it to exist eternally. However, throughout our history following the Fall, amid ignorance and pain, it has seen great destruction at the hands of humankind. As a result, climate change is causing harm in all sorts of ways.
If we continue in this manner, humanity will not have a future. That is, if our planet Earth doesn’t have a future, then humanity won’t either. We are now at the point where the blessed families of the worldwide Unification movement, together with the True Parents on earth, must solve all these difficult problems directly, before it is too late.
I have said that it is certain that the last days are upon us, that human history has reached its destination, and that providential history has reached its final chapter. We cannot welcome a new day until these Last Days have been settled.
I decided to visit Gyeongsang.[1] A large-scale Peace Road event was held on Geoje Island last year. After the Korea-Japan tunnel is built, Geoje Island can be used as a gateway. Unknown to others, I came down to observe the natural environment in person. I didn’t tell anyone about my visit due to my concern that it might interfere with your plans and work in relation to the providential schedule, and to not add to your burdens. I visited Oedo botanical garden and the Haegeumgang islands with gratitude, in the presence of Heavenly Parent.
I would like to make a request of all of you, therefore. Some time ago, when subregion 5 achieved a genuine victory, I asked you to expand that nationwide. One example of that would be to influence each local government to rename the roads connecting Geoje Island and North Korea as “Peace Road” or “Peace Highway,” as the Peace Road cyclists will start their journey in Geoje City. This road will pass through Jeolla, Chungcheong, Gyeongwon, Subregion 1 [the Seoul Metropolitan area], the Cheonwon Complex, and will be connected directly to the DMZ. I sincerely hope you will take the initiative to rename these roads leading to North Korea as “Peace Highway.” [Applause]
During a tour of churches in the United States, I had the opportunity to visit and speak at the church where Pastor Barrett was serving. His church then became the first to hoist the FFWPU flag. Pastor Barrett is so respected in his community that a street was named in his honor, “Barrett Street.” On the path to realizing a heavenly unified Korea, how wonderful it would be if we could connect the South and the North with a “Heavenly Peace Highway”! [Aju!]
You must also have big dreams. It is up to you to educate this nation so that its people can fulfill and see the completion of their responsibility. There are many different religions, but the final destination for all of them is to meet True Parents on earth. In so doing, they can fulfil their purpose and their dream. In order to stand before the Creator, our Heavenly Parent, as His children, fallen people must receive True Parents’ Blessing that gives rebirth. Is that clear to you? [Yes.]
You have such a great “weapon” so why can’t you use it? What prevents you from tearing down the doors to Christianity? The path humankind and religion must take is to meet Heavenly Parent. Most notably, the Korean people gave birth to the True Parents and protected them. It has been 72 years since the start of the Korean War, which some of you may have experienced. How was it that a global UN-backed military force could help when the Korean people were divided into two factions fighting each other?
This wasn’t by human power. It was Heavenly Parent providing protection. Heavenly Parent’s dream is to dwell substantially in the kingdom of heaven on earth with True Parents and His children. To realize this in reality is God’s dream. And it is for this reason that He could not abandon fallen humanity but carried out His providence of salvation. Two-thousand years ago, through the people of Israel, He sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten son of whom He could say, “This is my son.” But people were living in ignorance; even those around him didn’t understand the mission of the only begotten son. They were unaware of God’s circumstances, and they did not know Heaven’s providence.
There is significant indemnity when a chosen nation is unable to fulfill its responsibility. One such example is well known to you, isn’t it? After Jesus went to the cross, the people of Israel wandered without a nation for 2,000 years. Even now, no one knows why this happened.
Therefore, you cannot hold back any longer. In the midst of protecting this nation, Heaven gave birth to the True Parents. In that light, this nation’s leaders should follow True Parents and accept the providence of Heaven. Do you know about this or not? [We know.]
The lives of all past Korean presidents ended tragically. It is because they were human-centered. Their work should have begun from attending Heavenly Parent and True Parents at the center. We are seeing the results of their not having done so. So we must not leave this new government, which is just starting out, to simply follow along. Do you understand? [Yes]
We can clearly see how this nation could end up paying a great deal of indemnity. Can you just sit quietly? For that reason I have asked you to educate everyone in this nation’s villages and towns. Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces are particularly at odds. Why is this the case? They can make unity if they attend Heavenly Parent and True Parent, yet because of human-centered thinking, both the individual and the nation will perish. This people must attend Heavenly Parent and this nation must fulfill its responsibility as Heavenly Parent’s homeland. We have to show this to the world.
Heaven has been waiting for this day for 6,000 years. You need to be aware of this. This nation must attend Heavenly Parent and fulfill its responsibility while True Parents are on earth. The responsibility of this nation is to realize a heavenly unified Korea. A heavenly unified Korea!
To achieve the rank of a normal developed nation, a country must have a population of at least 100 million people. With only the population of South Korean or North Korean, it would be impossible to reach this number. They must combine and then expand beyond 100 million. Do you understand? If that is achieved, Japan, Korea’s closest neighbor, will no longer ignore Korea. China too will be unable to ignore Korea.
I shared one of Aesop’s fables with the leaders yesterday. I spoke about how, when a boy played the flute, animals would come out and dance. This will naturally happen as we move forward, attending True Parents substantially, for Heavenly Parent will dwell with us. As Heaven dwells with you as you live in attendance of True Parents, groups of good people will gather around you. Do you understand?
If you who are in this position, blessed by Heaven, are unable to fulfill your responsibilities, you will become ancestors who cannot hold their heads up. That should not happen of course, right? My sincere hope is that one day you will all stand tall as proud Cheon Il Guk leaders, Cheonbo families, and Cheon Il Guk citizens in front of the Korean people and diverse nation of this world. From then until now our hearts have been filled with longing….. We have already arrived at the 10th anniversary of True Father’s Holy Ascension. He was happy when we were together, and he showed that happiness with the warmest smile in the world. He sang with the clearest words in the world. So dedicated was he to Heavenly Parent’s liberation, humanity’s salvation and the establishment of a world of peace, that even until his last moment he prayed with head bowed: “May our homeland shine brightly! Invest completely with a life or death resolution and continuous practice.”
Because our Mother, the only begotten daughter, was here, it was possible to endure these agonizing 10 years. Resolving to fulfill Father’s legacy and will without fail, she has continuously moved forward with the desperate heart to find that one needle in a wild desert sandstorm. Saying, “I am the only one remaining,” Mother has endured the painful providential course alone, and managed the cosmic Canaan course. We would like to take this time to offer infinite comfort and gratitude to our great Mother.
Now, all of us will truly become one in heart and mind, and go hand in hand together. In order to fulfill your legacy and will without fail, we will move forward in vigor, without interruption. To this end, we engrave in our hearts the meaning of the 10th anniversary of Father’s Holy Ascension. We will guide those connected to True Parents’ providence, including blessed families and members, members of UPF, WFWP, and other providential organizations, leaders from all walks of life, to attend the Ascension anniversary with a heart of longing to meet Father, and we will work to ensure that True Parents’ noble lives and achievements are honored and remembered for all times. Thus we begin a 40-day period of special activities and devotion with our firm resolution, as follows:
- We resolve to become one with True Mother through absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, and to fulfill True Father’s legacy and will.
- So that the 10th anniversary of True Father’s Holy Ascension can be an occasion of the restoration of heart and love through which people can meet True Father, we firmly resolve to find all the blessed families and members, members of providential organizations, and leaders from all walks of life who are connected to us under God’s love and guide them into True Parents’ embrace.
- We are proud citizens of Cheon Il Guk who will realize the ideal of one human family under Heavenly Parent, and, taking pride in being children of filial devotion (hyojeong), we resolve to successfully fulfill Vision 2027 without fail and to lay the foundation for the firm settlement of a heavenly unified Korea and a heavenly unified world.
