On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, the Blessed Family Department of the FFWPU Dominican Republic held a seminar on blessing preparation for parents and second-generation children. Our participants included 18 second-generation youths and 9 parents.
The Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Hope Gomez, started the seminar with a prayer and held all the participants with some holy songs. The opening remarks was given by Mrs. Carmen Belliard, director of the Blessed Families Department of the Dominican Republic. And after that, the first lecture was given by César Augusto Regalado, Secretary General of the UPF and responsible for education within the Federation of Families.
Mr. Regalado also delivered a lecture on the life of filial piety towards parents and the True Parents. Following this, the national leader of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Bernardo Cruz Peralta, gave a lecture on “Faith and Blessing,” in which he explained the importance of nurturing the life of faith of the second generation.
He emphasized that regardless of how romantic they may be if they do not practice a life of faith, they cannot succeed in preparing themselves properly to receive the holy blessing. The seminar concluded with closing remarks given by Mrs. Yoko Lai Kikuchi, Director of the Blessed Families Department for the Heavenly Caribbean Region. And with this, the seminar was conducted in a highly enthusiastic atmosphere.
