With the purpose of continuing the testimony and the growth of the holy community in the Dominican Republic, CARP held a 3-day Divine Principle seminar on January 6 to 8, 2024, at the Harmony and Peace Estate with the theme “Becoming the Youth God Wants Us to Be”.
The seminar commenced with the opening remarks of the master of ceremonies, young Leandro Álvarez. Following this, the President of Sub-Region 5 of the Heavenly Caribbean, Rev. Leonidas Belliard, extended words of welcome and motivation. Subsequently, Mr. Carlos Hernández, Regional President of Central America and the Caribbean Youth, and National President of CARP, provided the introduction, presented the essential values of CARP, and gave a general introduction to the Divine Principle.
Next, Mr. Cesar Regalado, Secretary of UPF in the Dominican Republic and in charge of education for the Federation of Families, delivered a lecture on the principles of creation. The topic of the Human Fall was addressed by Rev. Pasquale Lai. Mr. Cesar Regalado presented the mission of the Messiah, and the national leader of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Bernardo Cruz, covered the principles of restoration, as well as the courses of Moses and Jesus in the providence of restoration. Mr. Cesar Regalado also spoke on historical parallels and the preparation for the Second Coming. The final lecture on the Second Coming was delivered by Regional President Carlos Hernández.
Throughout the seminar, there were entertainment programs including games, dances, songs, and competitions. The youth were challenged to overcome their limitations and shape their character through mountain exploration at the Harmony and Peace Estate training center. Upon reaching the mountain’s summit, the youth enjoyed the marvelous landscape offered by nature, sang praise songs to God and the True Parents, and engaged in deep prayers. They also benefited from internal guidance provided by the Regional Youth President, Mr. Carlos Hernández.”
The seminar concluded with words of inspiration and gratitude from Mr. Cesar Regalado and Rev. Pasquale Lai, and a message from National Leader Bernardo Cruz, who emphasized the importance of young people becoming members of the holy community so that together we can build the kingdom of heaven centered on the True Parents of heaven, earth, and humanity.
