In May 2018, we held the first-ever Ancestor Liberation Workshop in Battambang Province, Cambodia, with 2,000 participants, in cooperation with Battambang Provincial Hall. After more than six years, on November 2–3, 2024, we organized the HJ Cheonbo Special Cambodia Event at the Phnom Penh Headquarters, with the honored presence of Dr. Kim Incheon, President of the Cheonbo Asia Pacific Branch.
Day 1: Rev. San Chenda, Vice National Leader of FFWPU-Cambodia, served as the MC for this two-day event. After welcoming remarks by Rev. Chamroeun Sophal, President of FFWPU-Cambodia, we conducted a 30-minute Chanyang Yeoksa session. Given the presence of government officials, AFP couples, and newly invited students, it was beneficial to explain the clapping technique, focus areas on the body, and the required mindset.
Rev. Hajime Saito, Vice President of UPF-Asia Pacific, delivered a special educational message, followed by a second Chanyang Yeoksa session. Dr. Kim Incheon inspired everyone to achieve success with gratitude and action, emphasizing meaningful results for True Mother. Dr. Tang Kimsruy, Vice President of YSP-Asia Pacific, then delivered an inspiring Cheonbo lecture.
After dinner, a Cheon Shim Won Night Vigil Prayer was held from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. After a 10-minute Chanyang Yeoksa session, Ms. Hitomi Shimamoto, a Heavenly Top Gun missionary, shared her testimony of finding Heavenly Parent after years of difficulty and depression, ultimately dedicating her life to True Mother. This was followed by Cheon Shim Won praise songs led by Heavenly Top Gun and YSP members.
Rev. Sophal spoke on how this era is a golden opportunity to live with True Mother on earth, encouraging us to welcome Heavenly Parent at Cheon Il Sanctum, Cheon Won Gung, on April 13, 2025. After two special messages, we expressed heartfelt longing with “Aboji” and “Omoni” cheers. Heavenly Top Gun and YSP members’ Cheon Shim Won praise songs recreated an atmosphere reminiscent of Korea. A unified resonating prayer allowed us to feel as One Family under True Parents. Dr. Kim offered a heartfelt closing prayer, leaving everyone with a deep sense of gratitude for his heart and love.
Day 2: The program began at 9 am with the CIG anthem, Kyeonbei, and the Family Pledge. After a representative prayer by Rev. Sophal, we watched the video “The Grace of Cheon Shim Won 1000th Night Vigil Prayer,” showcasing the growth of participation to over 10,000 people worldwide. Dr. Kim encouraged us to take small steps toward success as Blessed Families and blessed children.
Following a 30-minute Ancestor Liberation Chanyang Yeoksa session, participants prayed sincerely, seeking the support of their ancestors and spirits in fulfilling their responsibilities, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to True Parents. A special occasion followed where participants received the Candle of All Things, passed by Dr. Kim to each blessed family and individual.
Participants then enjoyed entertainment performances: the Heavenly Top Gun and YSP teams performed a lively dance, Second Generation members sang a Japanese song, and Heavenly Top Gun presented a rock-style Chanyang song in Korean. We concluded by singing “Saranghae” together and cheering with four rounds of “Eug Mansei!”
Through this event, participants gained a profound understanding of the precious gift of Cheon Shim Won vigil prayer that True Mother has given us to grow as Heavenly Parent’s children and to witness and bring people back to Heavenly Parent. We pledged to hold Ancestor Liberation events more frequently in Cambodia. Kansahamnida, Heavenly Parent and True Parents!
