Glanów Gathering Strengthens Community Bonds
GLANÓW, POLAND — Over the weekend of 10–11 October, 26 community members gathered in the quiet countryside of Glanów for an intensive national prayer vigil and fellowship gathering, combining deep spiritual intercession with practical vision for the future.
The heart of the gathering began late Saturday evening, with the overnight vigil kicking off at 22:00. The room opened with focused prayer and communal singing, establishing a warm, unified atmosphere. To build connection, participants paired up for lighthearted icebreakers before diving deeper into spiritual readings, focused discussions, and successive rounds of collective prayer. As the late-night hours tested everyone’s endurance, a vibrant prayer dance brought a wave of energy and laughter into the room, keeping fatigue at bay and spirits high right through to the 04:00 conclusion.
A defining centerpiece of the gathering was the creation of a collective Community Vision Board. Rather than a purely symbolic exercise, the project served as an honest and inspiring assessment of the community’s current landscape. Participants mapped out collective strengths, acknowledged existing realities, and distinguished areas of abundance from areas of need—pinpointing exactly where time, care, and practical resources should be invested moving forward. The exercise generated so much enthusiasm and constructive dialogue that the group extended the session by two additional hours.
Throughout the night and into the morning, shared meals and refreshments provided much-needed fuel and warm moments of casual fellowship.
The gathering concluded on Sunday with an uplifting worship service, followed by an autumn walk through the surrounding neighborhood and nearby forest. Walking beneath the changing foliage, the group took in the crisp seasonal air and explored the area’s newly constructed bicycle path, a welcome local development that adds fresh charm and accessibility to the Glanów landscape. Attendees departed renewed in purpose, carrying both a clearer path forward and a strengthened bond of community.
