In line with the vision and direction of our True Mother, Holy Mother Han, the National Leader of FFWPU South Africa granted a Youth Leadership Traineeship to three young people as part of an effort to develop a new generation of spiritually grounded, principled and practically capable leaders.
The traineeship was designed around three interconnected areas of development:
- Spiritual Training: developing a strong relationship with God and True Parents, deepening understanding of Divine Principle and strengthening personal spiritual discipline.
- Leadership Training: developing the ability to serve, lead, communicate, organize activities and take responsibility for the development of others.
- Economic Training: developing an understanding of financial responsibility, self-reliance, entrepreneurship and the practical skills necessary to contribute to the sustainability of God’s providence.
From June to 12 September 2026, the three trainees progressed through an intensive programme combining spiritual formation, theological education, witnessing experience, leadership practice and practical responsibilities.
Spiritual Training 40 Day Workshop in Mozambique
The first major component of the traineeship was a 40-day spiritual workshop in Mozambique. This period was designed to establish a strong spiritual foundation before the trainees entered the more intensive leadership and practical phases of their training.
The programme provided the trainees with an environment in which they could focus on spiritual development away from their normal daily environment. The experience was intended not merely as a theological course but as a period of character formation and spiritual preparation for their future responsibilities.
Three Day Divine Principle Workshop
Following their return to Johannesburg, One of the significant practical assignments undertaken by the trainees was the coordination of a three-day Divine Principle workshop.
The trainees were involved in the practical organization and coordination of the programme, including working with new guests who were being introduced to the Divine Principle. This assignment provided an important opportunity to translate their spiritual and theoretical training into practical leadership.
The workshop also gave the trainees direct exposure to the process of introducing new people to the Divine Principle and supporting their initial spiritual journey.
Daily Leadership, Divine Principle and Esoteric Education
The trainees have continued to receive daily education and mentoring from the National Leader, Rev Emerald Heaven Ndonga.
The training combines Divine Principle education with leadership development and Esoteric understanding. The daily sessions are intended to help the trainees understand not only what the Divine Principle teaches, but also how those principles should influence their character, decisions, relationships and leadership responsibilities.
Conclusion
The Youth Leadership Traineeship from June to 12 September 2026 represents an important investment in the development of a new generation of young leaders in South Africa. The program is still going on. Following the vision of True Mother, Holy Mother Han, the program has been structured around the three foundations of spiritual development, leadership development and economic development.
The next stage of the program will focus on increasing their practical leadership responsibilities, strengthening their witnessing and teaching abilities, and developing concrete economic and business projects through which they can demonstrate the principles they have been learning. The ultimate goal is to raise young people who are not only knowledgeable about the Divine Principle, but who can live the Principle, lead by example, serve others and contribute substantially in the firm settlement of Cheon Il Guk.
