The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community (HPHC) Zambia, held a five-day Children’s Workshop from August 26 to 30, 2026, at the Barlastone Training Center in Lusaka, Zambia. A total of thirty children, aged between 7 and 12 years, participated in the workshop. The participants were from the 2nd and 3rd generations, as well as Jacob Children. The theme of the workshop was “Rooted in God’s Love.” The purpose of the workshop was to help the children understand their identity as the pure water of the world, take pride in being children of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and build loving relationships with one another as brothers and sisters.
During the workshop, several lecturers and leaders shared their hearts and guidance with the children. Among them were the Regional Director for Southern Africa, Rev. Mica Camara Amanlaman; Africa Regional Youth Secretary General, Director Phillip Karamagi; Africa Continental Staff, Mrs. Hwami Faerber Moono; National Leader, Rev. Andrico Tshaba; as well as Heavenly Top Gun Missionaries. Through their guidance and various activities, the children were able to learn more about Heavenly Parent’s love and the importance of living for the sake of others. The daily program included Hoon Dok Hae, HJ Talks, internal guidance sessions, diary writing, team-building activities related to the lessons of the day, special vigil prayer, recreational activities, and opportunities for fellowship among the children.
The workshop provided a joyful and supportive environment in which the children could learn, share, make new friends, and grow together. Their testimonies reflected the impact of the program on their understanding of True Love and their relationships with others. Kyle Bohoussou, an 11-year-old 2nd-generation child, shared that his favourite part of the workshop was the campfire and that he had learned about True Love. He said that through the workshop he became closer to the other children and learned that God’s love is not only physical but also spiritual. He encouraged children who would attend the next workshop to come prepared to participate and learn.
Precious Musonda, a 10-year-old Jacob Child, shared that her favourite part of the workshop was learning about True Love. She said that she learned about sharing and living for the sake of others and was happy to make a new friend, Megan, with whom she ate meals and shared stories. For Precious, giving and sharing represented God’s love. She encouraged more children to participate in future workshops, saying that the workshop was enjoyable and that she wished she could stay there.
Prior to the five-day Children’s Workshop, a two-day Staff Workshop was conducted from August 25 to 26, 2026. The staff preparation included prayer conditions for the participants and was guided by Regional Director Rev. Mica Camara Amanlaman and National Leader Rev. Andrico Tshaba. The purpose of the staff workshop was to promote unity among the staff members centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents, prepare their hearts as elder brothers and sisters who could guide the younger children to experience the love of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and prepare the appropriate environment and atmosphere so that the participants could gain the greatest benefit from the five-day workshop. This preparation helped the staff members to work together with a common heart and purpose in caring for and guiding the children throughout the program.
Overall, the 2026 Five-Day Summer Children’s Workshop was a success. The children had the opportunity to learn more about the love of Heavenly Parent, which is their spiritual root, while strengthening their relationships with their brothers and sisters in a fun, loving, and memorable environment. Throughout the five days, the children were seen laughing, smiling, learning, and enjoying themselves. The combination of spiritual education, character development, team-building, fellowship, and recreational activities created a meaningful experience for the participants.
The positive response from the children demonstrated the value and impact of the workshop, with one participant even expressing the wish that there could be a workshop every day. The workshop therefore provided an important opportunity for the children to grow in their understanding of Heavenly Parent’s love, develop stronger friendships, and experience the joy of living together as brothers and sisters rooted in God’s love.
