Young members of our movement and guests were invited to participate in a Cinema Forum, aimed at creating a space for fellowship and reflection centered around a film/movies that promotes core human values.

This marked the second edition of the Cinema Forum held in Costa Rica. On this occasion, the film White Bird: A Wonder Story (released in Spanish as Alas Blancas) was screened. Following the screening, a reflection and discussion session was held, allowing participants to share their insights, lessons learned, and perspectives on the themes addressed in the story.

To conclude the activity, all attendees shared a meal together, which served to strengthen their fellowship and continue their conversations in a warmer, more informal setting.

A total of 10 people participated: 5 guests and 5 members of the movement.

Plans are underway to continue this activity regularly in order to constantly strengthen and renew our young people’s awareness and reflection on important life values and themes.

Participant Reflections and Testimonies

The participants expressed deep empathy and emotion regarding the events portrayed in the film, which depicts experiences from World War II.

During the reflection session, they highlighted the consequences of intolerance and violence shown in the story, as well as the values of solidarity, compassion, courage, and hope embodied by the characters. Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of learning from these historical events to promote respect, empathy, and peace in today’s society.
