On March 22, 2026, the Blessing & Family Department (BFD) of Thailand conducted a specialized workshop titled “Preparing Our Family for the 2nd Generation Blessing.” The program was designed to guide parents in understanding their pivotal role in supporting their children toward the Holy Blessing with faith, love, and responsibility.

The experience began with a Sunday Service sermon by Mrs. Editha Srisuttisa-ard, titled “Understanding the 2nd Generation Blessing.” She offered a comforting spiritual foundation, reminding parents that they are not expected to be perfect, but sincere—willing to grow, reflect, and walk alongside their children.

A Shift from Anxiety to Faith

The afternoon sessions, led by Mr. Sirapop Laddaklom and Mrs. Ursula McLackland, focused on the providential significance of the Matching Process. A major breakthrough for many occurred during the “heart preparation” session, where parents were asked to identify whether they were approaching their child’s future out of faith or anxiety.

Mr. Laddaklom shared a moving personal testimony of how his mother’s consistent prayer and strong faith—rather than pressure—guided him back to the path of the Blessing during his own periods of struggle. This served as a living example of the lasting impact of a parent’s internal heart.

Participant Reflections

During the final sharing session, participants opened up about their realizations. Below are their full reflections:

“Prior to attending this workshop, I felt a strong need to prepare everything perfectly for my child’s future. However, I came to realize that what is most important is not perfection, but having a sincere heart that trusts Heavenly Parent. This experience encouraged me to guide my child with greater faith rather than anxiety.”

“I often felt concerned about the matching process and whether my child would make the right decisions. Through the workshop, I gained a clearer understanding that my role as a parent is not to control, but to support and trust both my child and the providential process. This realization brought me a sense of peace.”

“One of the most meaningful insights I received is that preparation for the Blessing begins within the family environment. It is not a one-time event, but something cultivated over time through love, communication, and example. I was reminded of my responsibility to create such an environment at home.”

“This workshop helped me realize that I am not alone in this journey as a parent. Listening to the lectures and sharing with other participants gave me encouragement and renewed confidence to walk together with my child toward the Blessing with a more positive and hopeful mindset.”

Closing Thoughts

The workshop concluded with a renewed sense of determination. The parents left with a deeper understanding that the Matching Process is not merely a practical procedure, but a sacred responsibility rooted in mutual respect between parents and children. By aligning with God’s will through prayer and sincerity, the families of FFWPU Thailand are now better equipped to build the “ideal families” envisioned by True Parents.
