
Special Visit of Rev. Doo Seung Yeon, Director General of the World Mission Headquarters

From March 19 to 21, Uruguay had the honor of hosting a special visit from Rev. Doo Seung Yeon, Director General of the World Mission Headquarters. He was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including:
- Rev. Masatate Kajikuri: Director of the Mission Department
- Mr. Katsuyoshi Motoyama: Deputy Director of Planning
- Rev. Kim Dong Woo: Continental Director of Heavenly Latin America
- Rev. Koichi Sasaki: Vice Continental Director of Heavenly Latin America
Arrival and Initial Tours
Upon arriving from Argentina, the delegation received a warm welcome at the Port of Montevideo from Uruguayan leaders and a spirited group of young community representatives.
The visit began with a tour of the Radisson Victoria Plaza Hotel. There, the delegation reviewed the hotel’s history and the significant investments and efforts made by True Parents to develop this landmark location. They also visited the National Garden (the central headquarters in Uruguay) and the CARP center, both of which serve as vital hubs for the community’s mission and activities.
Leadership Meetings and Guidance
During the visit, Uruguayan leaders met with Rev. Doo Seung Yeon, who conveyed the profound love of our Beloved True Mother. He expressed deep appreciation for the years of dedicated work in the region and encouraged the leadership to advance the providence in Uruguay with renewed strength and determination.
Youth Dialogue and Engagement
A meaningful exchange took place with the youth through an open Q&A session. This dialogue allowed for a deeper exploration of Hyojin Nim’s heart and the concept of filial identity. The session emphasized the importance of embodying these values in daily life and strengthening the youth’s personal connection to True Mother.

Community Celebration and Fellowship
The visit culminated in a dinner gathering with approximately 75 community members. In an atmosphere of joy and warmth, participants shared a traditional Uruguayan asado and enjoyed enthusiastic musical performances offered in gratitude.
During the gathering, Rev. Doo Seung Yeon shared True Mother’s heart and her desire for the community’s continued growth. He specifically highlighted the importance of witnessing, noting that we should reach out to friends and neighbors not just through words, but through the tangible love practiced within our community.
