On February 14, 2025, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Cebu, Philippines in collaboration with Heavenly Top Gun (HTG) Missionaries Japan and the Bradford United Church of Christ, Inc. (BUCCI), successfully organized the Japanese Cultural Experience at the Bradford United Church of Christ, Inc. The event was attended by around 100 students and teachers from the church’s school, who eagerly engaged in learning about Japanese culture.
The program featured a series of vibrant cultural performances, including Japanese songs and dances, which allowed the attendees to appreciate the beauty and richness of Japan’s cultural heritage. In addition to the performances, participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities such as Japanese calligraphy and origami making, providing them with a deeper, more interactive connection to these cultural practices. The participants also enjoyed tasting norimaki, a traditional Japanese dish, further enhancing their understanding of Japanese culture through its cuisine.
The event was further enriched by special messages from distinguished speakers. Rev. Macky Sabayle, Senior Pastor of BUCCI, delivered a heartfelt message that emphasized the importance of love and relationships in personal growth and becoming a better person. Dr. Leo Angelo Halog, President of FFWPU Philippines, delivered an inspiring speech that highlighted the significance of family and the transformative power of pure love in building strong, peaceful, and harmonious communities. During the event, participants also took part in the Pure Love Pledge, reinforcing the values of love, respect, and commitment to building better relationships.
This collaborative event underscored the importance of cultural exchange, offering participants the chance to expand their perspectives and connect with a world that is rich in diversity. The success of the event was made possible through the combined efforts of FFWPU, HTG Missionaries, and BUCCI, providing a meaningful and educational experience for all involved.
