On January 12, 2025, we held our annual general assembly of the Family Federation in Monseñor Nouel, Bonao, Dominican Republic. The theme was “Annual Family Federation Meeting for Reporting and Redetermination.” The event was attended by 176 participants, including Mr. Leonidas Belliard, President of the Holy Community of Heavenly Latin America in the Caribbean, Mr. Bernardo Cruz, National Leader of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Cesar Regalado, Secretary General of UPF in the Dominican Republic, and leaders from various providential institutions. A team of 20 staff members assisted in the preparations.
The assembly commenced with an opening prayer led by Pastor Rafael Jimenez of the Christian Church Adelante con Cristo, affiliated with the Federation of Families for Peace. This was followed by weekly news and local announcements.
Carmen Belliard, serving as the MC, delivered the opening remarks. Mr. Leonidas Belliard, Assistant Regional Director of the Heavenly Caribbean, welcomed attendees with motivational words.
Mr. Bernardo Cruz Peralta, the National President of FFWPU, provided a report on national providence, expressing gratitude to the leaders of various providential institutions and the pastors from different branches across the country. He also imparted words of determination to achieve the proposed goals and bring joy to the True Parents.
Subsequently, other leaders shared reports on their activities, reaffirming their commitment to develop and expand their efforts for the growth of the Federation of Families, in absolute unity with our beloved True Mother, following her direction to fulfill our responsibility as True Sons and Daughters of Cheon Il Guk to bring about the national restoration through witnessing and blessing activities. The assembly continued with a communal lunch, where each family brought a dish to share as one family under God.
Cultural presentations took place, earning various prizes. Following these presentations, the traditional “Yut” Game Title Cup, named “Takashi Kono” in honor of the recently passed Japanese national messiah, was held. The prizes were sponsored by the Kono family. Eight teams of ten people each participated in the competition, with three teams emerging as winners.
The assembly concluded at 5 PM with closing remarks by the National President, Bernardo Cruz Peralta.
