Dear Honored and Beloved Leaders of Cheon Il Guk,

Greetings and Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you strength and prosperity. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to our Heavenly Parent and True Parents for guiding us and allowing us to share this first conference call of 2025 with you today.

As we embark on this new year, may it be a gracious time for all of us to embrace Heaven’s will and remain faithful on our providential journey. I wish that the blessings and love of our Heavenly Parent be with you, your country, and your family throughout the year. Let us celebrate together with a round of applause. Happy New Year!

Last year, on the first day of 2024, True Mother shared these invaluable words: “In the upcoming 13th year of completion, we will hold the Cheonwon Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony. There must be no shadows in any aspect of our preparation and finalization. This year is of great importance, just as Heaven blessed us with white snow to dispel negative energy.” (2024.1.1) In response to this call, all Cheon Il Guk leaders, blessed families, and members worldwide have been united in their efforts.

Mother, with Heaven by her side throughout the year 2024, has energetically initiated the “Global New Year Prayer for the Salvation of the Chosen Han People for the victory of Entering the Cheon Il Sanctum at Cheon Won Gung to welcome the historic year of 2025, the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk.

Let us give a round of applause to the Only Begotten Daughter, True Mother, for her guidance in helping us conclude the past year and embrace a new year filled with hope. (Applause)

As we embrace the year 2025, Mother shared these invaluable words as our New Year’s Motto for reflection and guidance: “In the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, when we attend the Creator Heavenly Parent substantially, let us, the blessed families around the world, become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in unity with True Parents!” The words she imparted that day, including the New Year’s Motto, have already been circulated through the official memo. I encourage you to take the time to read it with your local members and reflect on the significance of Mother’s words deeply.

Today, we will look at some of the key differences between the New Year’s Motto given by Mother this year and the previous motto that guided us for 11 years, from 2014 to 2024: “Let us become true owners of Cheon Il Guk who practice true love in resemblance to our Creator, the Heavenly Parent!” and explain about this year’s motto.

  • First, “resembling” the Heavenly Parent has changed to “attending substantially and living with” the Heavenly Parent
  • Second, “practicing true love” has been changed to “fulfilling our responsibilities as chosen people.”
  • Third, the “True Owner of Cheon Il Guk” has been changed to the “True Child of Cheon Il Guk.”

You may notice that “resemblance” has evolved into ” attendance,” “practice” has shifted to ” responsibility,” and “true owner” has changed to “true child.” I’ll focus on these points as I share my insights with you.

Dear leaders of Cheon Il Guk,

First, let’s talk about our Creator, the Heavenly Parent.

Mother emphasized that Heavenly Parent, the Creator, should now be interpreted as the complete Heavenly Parent, including ‘Heavenly Mother’ and not just ‘Heavenly Father’ (Autobiography p375), and she has dedicated her life to restoring the status of ‘Heavenly Mother,’ the feminine aspect of God, which has been hidden throughout history

Mother also emphasized the status of Heavenly Mother at breakfast on January 1 of this year, the day she concluded the Global New Year Prayer, saying: “Until now, human history has unfolded centered on men. That is why there has always been insecurity and endless fighting. Peace in the home comes when the mother fulfills her role well. Fallen humanity needs a mother. Because I understood this, I said I would do it.” (2025.1.1)

In light of this, True Mother made the following resolution before the holy wedding at the tender age of 16: “During my lifetime, my beloved husband and I will bring to a conclusion the history of the providence of restoration through indemnity, during which God has laboriously toiled. I know that what hurts God’s heart more than anything else are the religious conflicts that take place in His name. Without fail, we will end them.” (Autobiography p120)

This resolution represents the mission that True Mother pledged before Heavenly Parent, and she has been dedicated to fulfilling this promise throughout her life.

The next point is about “Attending Substantially and Living with”.

Until now, the New Year’s Motto has been about ‘Resembling our Heavenly Parents.’ In the past, Mother emphasized ‘resemblance,’ but this time she is talking about ‘living by attending substantially,’ or ‘living a substantial life of attendance.’

At the New Year’s Day breakfast, Mother emphasized repeatedly, “All the wars and religious conflicts that have existed until now can be resolved if we serve Heavenly Parent,” and “We are one human family that attends Heavenly Parent and practices true love.” (2025.1.1) When we attend Heavenly Parent as our parents in a substantial way, we understand that we are all brothers and sisters, part of one family. This realization allows us to feel the pain of others as our own and fosters the creation of a world where we care for one another. This is a profound message that inspires us to take action.

The Meaning of ‘In Unity with True Parents’

The next point is about “In unity with True Parents.”

During the Cheonsimwon Vigil Prayer, we participate in the ‘Unified Resonance Prayer.’ Here, I would like to explain what resonance means.

The world is filled with countless invisible radio waves and ripples that have both direct and indirect effects on our lives through various networks. The sounds we perceive with our ears serve as a prime example of waves traveling through the air, generated by the vibrations of objects. When these waves resonate, they create powerful energy in both the natural and human realms.

For example, in 1940, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in the United States collapsed due to resonance caused by high winds. Similarly, in 1831, the Broxton Bridge in England collapsed when troops marched across it because the rhythm of the marching drums matched the bridge’s natural frequency, causing the bridge to collapse. A comparable incident occurred in South Korea in 2010, where a resonance phenomenon was reported at a fitness center on the Seoul riverfront. In this case, group exercise caused the entire building to vibrate. This resonance can generate enough energy to bring down a building or structure.

Is this phenomenon limited to nature? Here’s an interesting and curious anecdote from real life. In a book titled God’s Ambassadors, written by Mr. Kim Ha-joong, a diplomat who served as ambassador to China, he recounts an incident subtitled “Please Stop Hitting the Wall.” Born into a Christian family, he listened to the voice of Heaven through daily prayer, and he had a habit of hitting the wall when he prayed intensely.

One day, like any other, he banged on the wall during prayer, and the next morning, he received an international call from an unknown person. On the other end was a spiritual visionary from an island country in the South Pacific who complained, “Please stop hitting the wall. The sound of you hitting the wall is so loud that I can’t concentrate while praying.” This illustrates how prayer can resonate and transmit waves across the Pacific Ocean.

Indeed, the state of “being one with True Parents” signifies an environment that completely resonates with the frequency of Heavenly Parents and True Parents ‘, where the will of True Parents and our thoughts become one. I believe that this is the path to becoming a true child of Cheon Il Guk, who fulfills responsibilities at this age.

The Meaning of “Chosen People”

The next point is the “Choen People”.

In May of last year, during her visit to Heavenly Europe, True Mother personally viewed the ‘Slavic Epic’ and officially announced the creation of The Great Epic of the Chosen Korean People’ a concept she had contemplated for a long time. This title was chosen after thorough thought and reflection. Initially, she referred to it as the ‘Epic of the Korean People,’ but she later included the term ‘chosen people’ and ultimately settled on the name ‘The Great Epic of the Chosen Korean People.’

The inclusion of ‘chosen people’ between ‘Korean people’ and ‘epic’ is intended not to define the Korean people solely by blood ties or regional distinctions, but to emphasize their identity as a community with a shared destiny and a deeper purpose. This designation reflects the special plan and guidance that the Heavenly Parent asserts through the concept of ‘providence.’ Therefore, being referred to as ‘chosen people’ is not merely the result of individual efforts or claims. The term ‘chosen’ carries a significant meaning: it signifies alignment with Heaven’s will and represents a unique selection that fulfills divine intent.

In Heavenly Parent’s providence, the Korean nation developed traditions and culture that foster an identity reflecting Heaven’s divine nature. Based on this identity and culture, Heavenly Parent has sent True Father, the Second Coming of Messiah, and True Mother, the first coming of the Only Begotten Daughter, to this land of the Republic of Korea. And, through the Marriage Supper of the Lamb that Heavenly Parent hoped for, True Parents appeared on this earth for the first time, giving rise to blessed families that inherit the heavenly lineage resembling the divine nature of Heaven. Since the manifestation of True Parents, the meaning of the “chosen people” has not been confined to a specific region or ethnic group. Our blessed families, who have received True Parents’ blessings and have been reborn as the true children of Cheon Il Guk, have been bestowed with the great grace of being recognized as Heaven’s chosen people.

Mother said, “The blessed families are true children of Heaven’s lineage to whom my husband and I have given birth through our tearful embrace. They are called by Heaven, so I call them chosen blessed families. True Father and I will sit across the table from these chosen blessed families forever. We will not forget for even a moment our countless children’s intense tears and streaming sweat as they endured lonely struggles for the sake of God’s will.” (Autobiography p312) She clearly states that the blessed families are the chosen people.

However, through this year’s motto, Mother declares that blessed families are the chosen people and states that the condition for becoming the chosen people is ‘becoming one with True Parents.’ For blessed families to become the providential chosen people, and for the Korean people to be recognized as the chosen people by bloodline, it is essential to achieve oneness with True Parents. I believe Mother is emphasizing this vital point.

The Meaning of “True Children of Cheon Il Guk Who Fulfill Their Responsibilities

Lastly, ‘responsibility.’

During the New Year’s Day breakfast, Mother emphasized, “What I want to emphasize here is that regardless of how you are born, you cannot reach perfection without fulfilling your responsibility. And you must fulfill that responsibility in unity with me. So during the New Year’s message, because I felt I hadn’t mentioned “responsibility,” I asked for it to be added to the motto. You must grow through your own effort. We have taught you everything and shown you the way. If you are in the position of not having fulfilled your responsibility, even if you did not know about it on earth, you will be very uncomfortable in the eternal spirit world. I am saying that to avoid this, you must become blessed families who fulfill your responsibility on earth. Only then can you accomplish Heavenly Parent’s dream, through becoming true children who attend Heavenly Parent in the kingdom of heaven on earth.” She emphasized this.

The ‘responsibility’ that our Cheon Il Guk leaders must embody is,

First, educate about being the chosen people

Mother stated, “Educate the people of this country, from the people to the politicians,” she meant, to know True Parents, especially they must know how Heaven has raised Korea as a chosen people to give birth to True Parents.” (2025.1.1). The essence of Mother’s call for chosen people’s education lies in the teaching of the True Parents Theology and the Great Epic of the Chosen Korean People. This involves educating about the nature of the Heavenly Parent, the dignity and value of True Parents, the truth of 2,000 years of Christian history, and the essence of the Only Begotten Daughter. Additionally, it is a teaching to convey that True Parents have come to fulfill the Heavenly Parent’s dream and the ideal of creation by establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

This message also serves as a call to spread the teachings beyond Heavenly Korea to all blessed families and humanity as a whole. Mother emphasizes that when this is realized, true democracy centered on Heaven will be established on this earth, and when humankind becomes one family with Heavenly Parents, all nations will unite as brother nations and become a peaceful country without conflict.

Second, find and establish heavenly citizens through witnessing, and blessings.

True Parents have the mission to fulfill Heavenly Parent’s dream of establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, and the method to achieve this is by transforming all of humanity into blessed families, who are the heavenly lineage. Participating in this sacred endeavor of True Parents is the responsibility of blessed families.

So True Parents said, “Now we have ushered in the springtime of the providence. Spring is the busiest time for farmers. They must do their utmost to ensure an abundant harvest in the fall. In this providential spring, we need to construct the original world that God planned to realize from the beginning. We can receive the marriage Blessing and share it with our family and tribe. Then we can work together as messiahs to transform our nation. Such is Heaven’s decree. No matter how difficult our work is, we need to complete the providence and reveal the truth. When we fulfill our responsibility, following God as sunflowers follow the sun, we will surely realize Heavenly Parent’s dream and humanity’s hope.” (Autobiography p317).

We must strive to seek heavenly citizens in order to establish the Heavenly Parent’s kingdom, Cheon l Guk, substantially. As Mother emphasized, we should practice her instructions to “witness to one person each month.” We should dedicate ourselves to witnessing the youth, matching single individuals, focusing on restoring prepared Christian communities, and devoting ourselves wholeheartedly to the mission of regional and national restoration.

Third, nurture the second and third generations of blessed families and raise them as “Pure Water.”

In this regard, Mother has instructed that Pure Water should grow and develop to become the key player in the providence, united with True Parents and venturing into the vast ocean. Nurturing future generations has been a consistent focus of Mother’s efforts over the past 13 years as she has devoted herself to the future of the Unification movement. Those whom she has guided and raised in the past have now become capable youth missionaries, resonating in heart with True Mother and spreading the word in the mission field around the world.

In 2025, 500 second-generation Heavenly Top Gun missionaries are preparing to become key figures in realizing Heavenly Parent’s dream, inheriting the traditions established by True Parents and previous leaders. They are dedicated to growing into this significant role as they embark on their missionary journeys.

Beloved leaders of Cheon Il Guk,

When we put into practice the New Year’s Day teachings given by Mother, we can truly become the ‘true children of Cheon Il Guk.’ By nurturing our own personal growth, establishing our identity, educating about our status as the chosen people, seeking and establishing Heaven’s people through outreach/witnessing and blessings, and properly raising the next generation as Pure Water, we will become the ‘true children of Cheon Il Guk’ recognized by Heavenly Parent. Mother has consistently emphasized that the condition for becoming true children is to be united with True Parents. Additionally, she has stated that to become new children, we must fulfill our responsibilities.

Mother said in her autobiography, “It is a new age and we need to put on new clothes. As citizens of Cheon Il Guk, we need the clothing of filial piety in our family, patriotism in our nation, saints in the world, and divine sons and daughters of God.” (Autobiography p.324)

In this way, Mother earnestly desires for us to fulfill our duties as true children before Heavenly Parent and she is leading the way in opening a new path for the era of Cheon Il Guk. Let us all deeply reflect on these words and strive to fulfill our mission as true children of Cheon Il Guk.

Conclusion

Beloved leaders of Cheon Il Guk,

As we approach a significant moment in the 6,000-year history of providence and humanity—bringing Heavenly Parent to the earth for the first time—we have just 96 days until the Entrance Ceremony of Cheon Won Gung, Cheon Il Sanctum. True Parents have lovingly prepared the environment for the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, where we can live in the presence of the Creator, Heavenly Parent. We are entering a golden opportunity to fulfill our responsibilities alongside True Parents and to participate victoriously in the Entrance Ceremony in the era of Cheon Il Guk.

Mother emphasizes that all blessed families and blessed children around the world must become Pure Water, radiating purity and repelling negative energies in all aspects of life. To prepare for this day in a pristine, crystal-like manner, she has bestowed a special grace by providing holy wine for blessed families and blessed children to drink.

Now, in the remaining 96 days, let us fulfill our responsibilities as blessed families and as true children of Cheon Il Guk, striving to become individuals and families that can embody and serve Heavenly Parent.

Until the Entrance Ceremony of Cheon Won Gung Cheon Il Sanctum, may you become leaders of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill your responsibilities as chosen people, united with the substantial Holy Spirit, True Mother. Thank you.
