From December 23 to December 30, 2024, an 8-day retreat for Tanzanian second-generation youth and high schoolers took place at the Sasamoto Center in Kenya. The aim was for the second generation from Tanzania to learn the Divine Principle and True Parents’ Theology in an environment outside their country, while also interacting with and learning from Kenyan youth.

The team arrived on Sunday, December 22, and was welcomed by the national president of FFWPU Kenya at the center. There were 12 workshop participants, including 9 Tanzanian youth and 3 Kenyan youth. The participants attended lectures on True Parents’ Theology, presented by youth leaders from Kenya and the Shin Top Gun missionaries, as well as lectures on Tradition from the director of the national Blessed Family Department.

The retreat included various activities designed to foster bonding among the participants, such as sports, arts, and cultural events. These activities aimed to deepen their understanding of True Parents. The Shin Top Gun missionaries also had the opportunity to give lectures on True Parents’ values and share personal testimonies with the participants. Additionally, the participants took part in the Cheon Shim Won night vigils, where they could offer their devotion and prayers.

During the workshop, Christmas was celebrated in a spirit of togetherness. The workshop participants were joined by about 40 local youths, and together they prepared for the celebration by setting up decorations and preparing meals. Following the preparations, they enjoyed lunch together, followed by fun team activities. The atmosphere was so welcoming that none of the attendees wanted to leave. Ultimately, around 20 youths stayed behind to interact further with the Tanzanian second-generation youth.

The participants graduated on Sunday, which coincided with the End-Year Sunday service. During the sharing of testimonies, representatives conveyed their appreciation for the lectures on Heavenly Parent and Heavenly Parent’s dream, expressing their desire to teach their brothers and sisters upon returning home.
