The Pacific Christian Leadership Conference, in collaboration with the Heavenly Top Gun Missionaries in the Philippines, Mahal na Birhen ng Piat Foundation Inc., Youth Christian Leadership Conference, and Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Philippines, organized a remarkable event aimed at empowering the youth titled “Christian Youth Action for Nation-Building.” Held at Our Lady of Piat Shrine, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, Philippines, on April 6-7, 2024 with a total of 60 attendees, the gathering was infused with the theme “Ignite, Inspire, Impact: Building Together a Heavenly Community.”

Day 1 commenced with a vibrant morning session as a multitude of enthusiastic youth participants arrived and engaged in the registration process. The day’s activities commenced with a heartfelt welcoming program, seamlessly transitioning into an enlightening orientation session aimed at acquainting attendees with the event’s objectives and schedules. Dynamic team-building exercises followed, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity among participants.

The afternoon session commenced with an icebreaker activity, setting an engaging tone for the intellectually stimulating lectures that ensued. Rev. John Rhodbert Gregorio, Area Leader of FFWPU NCR & Central Luzon, commenced proceedings with a thought-provoking presentation titled “Universal Principles,” which delved into timeless insights crucial for personal and societal development. Following the lecture, participants actively participated in group discussions and reflective exercises, enhancing their understanding of the presented topic.

A brief break provided participants with an opportunity to recharge before Ms. Saki Sasazaki, the esteemed Heavenly Top Gun Missionary, took center stage to deliver her captivating discourse on “Becoming Pure Water.” This session underscored the paramount importance of moral purity and integrity in fostering harmonious communities and societal progress.

As evening approached, participants engaged in a heartwarming service project at the Galilee Home Visitation, embodying the spirit of compassion and altruism. A communal dinner followed, fostering an atmosphere of fellowship and camaraderie among attendees. The evening culminated in a poignant Brotherhood and Sisterhood Ceremony, strengthening the bonds of unity and solidarity among participants.

Day 2 commenced with a soul-nourishing Morning Devotion, setting a serene tone for the day’s proceedings. Participants actively participated in exercises promoting environmental stewardship, followed by a wholesome breakfast to fuel the day’s activities. The highlight of the morning was a meaningful visit to the Bayabas River cleanup site, where participants contributed to the restoration of the area’s natural beauty.

Following a brief preparatory period, attendees gathered for intellectually stimulating lectures. Rev. Fr. Edgardo De Jesus, Roman Catholic Priest,  delivered an inspiring discourse on “Servant Leadership,” highlighting the transformative power of humility and selfless service. Rev. Ronnie Sodusta, Asia Pacific Vice President, followed suit with a compelling presentation on “Becoming Owners of a Culture of Hearts,” urging attendees to cultivate compassion and empathy within their communities.

The afternoon session was marked by creative expression, with participants creating posters to channel their thoughts and inspirations into visual representations. The day finished with a holy mass, which provided opportunities for meditation and spiritual rejuvenation.

The program concluded with a moving closing ceremony replete with appreciation and camaraderie, as participants said their goodbyes, taking with them the precious lessons and memories made throughout this transforming journey of self-discovery and service to others.
