YSP Burkina Faso organized a project under the name the Great Green Wall for Peace on the occasion of International Youth Day on August 12, 2023, in Ouagadougou. As True Mother is asking us to love and protect the nature, in this event, participants specially the youth symbolically planted 50 trees and plants, to show their love and protection for the nature as a gift that God has given all of us since the beginning of human history.

After the presentation of YSP by the National President Kwang Hee Divine KABORE, the President of the North sub-region Pang Il Diarra gave the description of this project initiated by the African Union in 2007.

After words of encouragement given by the UPF Secretary General and an official of the 2nd Generation Department, the participants then proceeded to plant the trees. Several partner associations took part in this reforestation activity and all participants committed to maintaining these plants on a regular basis so that they can grow properly. The Great Green Wall is a project to combat the advance of the Sahara Desert to the South by promoting reforestation and promoting sustainable development by creating a vegetation belt across Africa over about 8000km.

Burkina Faso thus becomes the first country in Africa to launch this noble project of loving and protecting nature.
