On April 15, 2023, we held a Character Education program at school named “Escola Franciscana da Paz”, which is belong to the Franciscan congregation in the catholic church. We have a very close relationship with this church and they have been participating in some of our education programs, conferences and workshop.
The principle of the school invited the FFWPU and WFWP Angola to organize a special workshop for their students. Participants included 524 students and around 50 parents of some of those students.
The topic for our education program this time was “The Family as The School of Love, Development and Peace”. The national leader, Rev. Pedro gave the main lecture explaining about the role and mission of the family based on True Parents’ teaching, while students and their parents listened attentively.
Rev. Pedro also explained about True Parents’ worldwide work. He also offered true mother’s autobiography to the principle of Franciscana School of Peace. Receiving the book, sister Maria Helena was very satisfied about the content of the lecture and the explanation about true mother and her work worldwide.
As the school principle and all the participants promised to attend other educational programs in the future, we are preparing other programs about character education for that school. We are also preparing lectures for the youth over 18 years old as well.
