Father’s Speech On Children’s Day Held On November 14, 1993 In Chungpadong, Seoul, Korea
THE Completed Testament Age means the completion of God’s ideal of creation. Before the creation of the universe, True Parents existed in the mind of God. God created the universe to establish True Parents.
The ideal of creation means the fulfillment of the four position foundation. It means Adam and Eve completing their responsibility, receiving the blessing and giving birth to children. In other words, the term “True Parents” did not appear today. It existed before the creation, in God’s ideal. True Parents were the center of God’s thought.
If True Parents are not established, God cannot fulfill the ideal of creation. The completion of God Himself is dependent upon True Parents. A great person is a person who makes a great determination and fulfills it. If a person does not accomplish what he determines to do, he himself is not complete.
If God could not bring about the establishment of True Parents, He Himself could not be complete and could not feel joy. Once True Parents exist, then true children, a true family, a true society, a true nation and a true world can emerge. The heavenly kingdom starts not from the spiritual world, but from this physical world. When a true world appears on the earth, the heavenly kingdom is created in the spiritual world. The Kingdom of Heaven on earth begins with True Parents. True Parents’ family can realize the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and in the spiritual world. If the Kingdom of Heaven is not accomplished on earth, it cannot be realized in the spiritual world.
There is a saying that human beings are the most precious in all creation. The person who occupies the highest central position is the first ancestor of mankind. Through the completion of this ancestor, this True Parent, God is also completed.
THE NEED FOR SUBJECT AND OBJECT
Love cannot be manifested through a solitary individual. God created human beings because He needed an object in order to express His love. Human beings are born to be objects of God. We are not born directed towards money, knowledge or power.
We cannot see or touch air, but we know air through its action. In a similar way, we perceive our conscience, love and God through their action. Subject and object are necessary for action to take place. Without give and take between subject and object, there is no action.
Our environment also consists of subject and object. This is a requirement for existence. When subject and object unite, they are protected by the universe. If they are not united, cosmic force repels them. Something that lacks an object is separated by the cosmic force.
Why do man and woman marry? Marriage is the most precious event in life. Marriage is more important than birth or death. Man represents heaven and woman represents earth; thus matrimony unifies heaven and earth. In the course of time, the cultures of the East and West will unite. However, man and woman do not become united merely by the passage of time. Man and woman are united not by money, power or knowledge-only by love.
There are marriages in which people are united in body, but not in mind. If there had been no fall, people would be able to unite in both mind and body. However, the fall disrupted the original order. In a relationship of true love, people’s minds cannot be swayed. First love is powerful.
MIND-BODY UNITY
Can man leap like a dog? Can man’s eyes see like an eagle’s eyes? Can man fly? Can man run like a deer? Compared with animals, human beings are inferior in many points. What is our superior point? People can make love anytime during the four seasons. That is the privilege of human beings. Animals make love only at the time suitable for producing offspring. The act of love between husband and wife is meant to be holy. Love is the greatest treasure. However, because of the fall, this treasure be-came totally degraded.
Are we living in a good world? No. We are living in an evil world. Fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters are close to us, but they are evil because their mind and body are fighting. Who has completely overcome that kind of fighting? Not even the saints could do so. The most dreadful enemy is one’s own body. From this body, good and evil diverge. Mind and body are completely different in their direction. The mind seeks the highest place.
How can we conquer God? We cannot conquer God with money or knowledge, only with love. What is the thing that God likes the most? It is true love. Can we touch true love? Can we see or touch God? How about touching a good mind?
Is there anything about us that our mind does not know? Can we deceive our mind? Our mind knows everything about our-selves. Who will know me better, God or my mind? Our mind knows ourselves before anyone else. Our mind knows things even before God does. Because we have this faculty, we can be an object of God.
When we pray, we should clean our mind and align it in the direction of heaven. Our mind is subject. Our mind knows things first. God gave us our mind as a magnet that can align us directly with heaven. When we sit calmly in the morning, we can naturally know the direction we should take.
Where is God? God fills the universe. How can we detect God? Our conscience is like a magnet indicating the direction in which we can find God.
THE TRANSCENDENT QUALITY OF LOVE
When we become one with true love, we can feel something without even seeing or touching it. Love transcends distance. We can never forget our first love. We can never forget our spiritual experiences.
We are born for others. The husband exists for his wife and the wife exists for her husband. Grandfathers and grandmothers are special emissaries, and we should be able to serve them in place of God. The father is the king of the present era. Children are kings of the future. We should serve our parents, because they represent God on earth, and we should raise our children as princes and princesses. We are raising princes and princesses in our own home! We should go through this kind of training on earth.
Our home is a microcosm of the physical and spiritual worlds. Our home is the center of the universe. Through the fall, the model family was lost. If there had been no fall, the original base would have appeared from which true love could start, centered on God’s true love. There would have been an original palace of love, life and lineage. The love between husband and wife is the origin of life and the connection with the blood lineage. The final goal of love is also life and blood lineage.
THE QUEST FOR HOMETOWN
The fundamental quest of each human being is the three original hometowns. This is the root of the home, society, nation, physical world and spiritual world. How great God’s creation is! All the energy of creation is concentrated here. This is where God invested the greatest power. When you hear the word “creation,” think of the love organ.
Our love is not our own. Our life is not our own. Our blood lineage is not our own. Therefore, we should not destroy these. When man and woman marry and become perfect, which takes priority, the horizontal or the vertical? We cannot fix a location according to the horizontal dimension alone. There should also be something vertical.
We should seek the original palace. I suggest that husbands return home with the hope of returning to the palace of love. We all have a palace of love from which our children were born. Our children are the fruits of love. When we go to the spirit world, the assets that count are not knowledge, power or money. What determines our place in the spirit world is the quantity of our fruits of love. In this world, nations that have large populations are strong, aren’t they? China has 1.3 billion people, so it can look down on America.
The same thing applies on the family level. A bride is welcomed when she brings a large dowry. Similarly, we should bring many good sons and daughters who resemble God to the spirit world. God waited for that kind of person for such a long time, but not even one arrived.
God wants such people to return to Him through Reverend Moon. How many of you can do that? I shall not bring you. I have pulled you up to this point, and I am tired of doing that. Now it is time for you to go onward. Who wants to follow an elderly person in his seventies or eighties? Therefore, I am putting Mother in the front. Now my children are giving lectures in America. My sons and daughters are preaching in the place of their father and mother. Christian ministers are eager to invite my children to their church to give a sermon. They say, “Rev. Moon’s family is the model family; he is putting his words into action.”
You should know that you are precious. The flower garden of love and life starts from you. Keep the dream of an endless lineage of goodness springing forth from you. Men and women should remember this. The parents of mankind should have stood in this position. If they had become True Parents, every-thing would have been fulfilled and the Completed Testament Age would have begun at that time. However, there was no such family.
Now the family standard that God desired is established. Individuals, families, tribes, nations, the physical world and the spirit world joined in trying to topple me. Therefore, I came to the ring to fight and win. Now there is no one who does not know me. In America almost everyone knows me. I am notorious in the satanic world but famous in the good world. Satan hated me and tried to kill me, but now the era of hate has passed.
What I say is not something I heard somewhere else. I speak about what has already been accomplished, so it is authoritative. I say what is necessary, discerning what is right and wrong, after overcoming all the ordeals.
THE EXPULSION OF SATAN
Now I am speaking of True Children and the Completed Testament Age. The satanic world should vanish upon the pronouncement of “True Parents and the Completed Testament Age.” Now Satan is gone. Because of the fall, Satan united with man. Now that kind of environment is gone. I dealt with that kind of environment. Satan no longer has any victorious historical condition to present.
Because of the fall, false parents emerged. However, True Parents remained the focus of God’s mind and will since the creation. If such parents are not properly established, no true family can arise. Without a true family, there can be no true clan, tribe, nation or world. Without a true world, the heavenly kingdom in the spiritual world cannot appear. In the spirit world there is no reproduction. Spiritual beings are produced on earth.
God is the king of kings. God’s children are His partners of love. They are God’s absolute partners of love; therefore, they live forever absolutely. It will be nice to live with God, won’t it? Do you want to know that world? If I tell you about it, you will all be intoxicated and unable to do anything else. Therefore, I do not tell you.
How can this individualistic world become the ideal world? This will happen through the practice of altruism or living for others. Since I have the title of True Parents, I give you the title of true children. True Parents and true children are one family. When the parents succeed, the children can inherit what the parents have achieved.
I thank Mother for her absolute obedience to my instruction. She has fulfilled this standard since our marriage. Therefore, I thought, like mother, like daughter. After she fulfilled her responsibility well as daughter and wife, she became mother. She had to start from the position of daughter or younger sister, while I stood in the position of elder brother. Adam and Eve are brother and sister. At marriage, they are brother and sister. To make them husband and wife is to place them in the position of creators. If they become one in love, they become creators. The origin of life is God. How to connect with God is the problem. Eventually, we should become one with God.
MARRIAGE FULFILLS THE IDEAL OF CREATION
Man and woman grow in their respective ways and meet in marriage. The day of marriage is the time of perfection as children, siblings and spouses.
Marriage is such a good event. Marriage is the place of perfection as children of God, brother and sister in the heavenly family, and husband and wife. If the couple cannot go to the place of perfection as husband and wife, they cannot take the position of parents. Parents represent heaven. Therefore, marriage is the fulfillment of the whole ideal of creation, the setting for fulfillment as God’s children, and as brother and sister. The unity of man and woman is the substantial unity of Adam and Eve’s dual characteristics.
By giving birth to children, we know God and realize, “Oh, God loved us like this.” Through childbirth we feel God’s joy when He created Adam and Eve. During the pregnancy, husband and wife become overjoyed. They feel directly and substantially what God felt internally as invisible substance. There-fore, the bodies of Adam and Eve are the bodies of God. Divine and human loves become one! Adam and Eve are God’s body. The marriage of Adam and Eve is God’s marriage. If we go to the spirit world we can know this clearly.
Therefore, our desire feels satisfied when we conquer the love of God. Our desire keeps pushing us until we accomplish that. The final desire of man is to conquer God’s love and be-come master of this universe, or king of kings. This is an attain-able goal.
True Parents completed the unity of divine love and human love. This is the primary providence of God. There are many religions, but in the spirit world there is one master religious leader among leaders. The son whom God loves most is the king of religious leaders. How can one recognize the king religious leader? Since the universe was created for love, we should ask ourselves which religion is deeply searching for love. Only Christianity. Jesus is called the only son of God. The only son is born through purification of blood lineage, having no relation with Satan. Jesus Christ was the first partner whom God could love.
The term “only son” means someone who monopolizes love from beginning to end. In Christianity, believers were called “bride.” Human beings started from one family. The only son was destined to meet the only daughter. The original Adam and Eve should not have fallen. The only son and daughter should give birth to children. The family in which everyone lives for each other must be the family of heaven.
LIVE FOR OTHERS
Who will be the master of such a family? The one who serves the most. The one who surpasses grandparents, parents, wife and children in his effort to serve the whole becomes the center.
Who serves the Unification Church the most? Our theory promotes living for others. The younger people should follow and serve the elder ones. The elder ones should protect and love the younger ones. Therefore, central figures should take responsibility for and raise the members. Otherwise, they cannot be the central figure.
The one who serves less cannot be the central figure. The one who serves the most in society and in the nation shall inherit it all. If someone works harder than the president of a company, the president of that company will come and consult with him.
The first ancestors did not become true husband and wife centered on true love. Therefore, the true husband and wife need to be located. Without a True Mother and True Father, True Children could not come. Therefore, True Parents should be found. Jesus had the responsibility to expel Satan and make the True Family, establishing the blood lineage of God.
The mind is the vertical self which was born through the heavenly parents. The conscience is vertical. The body is horizontal, because it was born through Adam and Eve. Because of the fall, the heavenly order turned upside down. Eve deceived Adam and God at the time of the fall. She had a fiance, but she fell at her will. She did not listen to God’s word. Adam was God’s first son. Eve deceived the first son and father. Therefore, this process should be turned around 180 degrees. Both good and evil began from one point, love. False love should be restored by true love, according to the law of indemnity.
To indemnify this failure, Rebecca subjugated her first son Esau and his father Isaac. Such a process was inevitable by the law of indemnity. Tamar also was victorious over her father-in-law in order to conceive children and preserve the blood lineage. She did this because her mind was guided by some spiritual force. In God’s providence, she could not help doing this.
All these things did not happen by chance. Only God and Satan knew the hidden struggle to eradicate the root of evil. Adam fell without knowing. Therefore, the new Adam should know. I found out these things. If I had not come, the mysteries in the Bible would not have been solved.
The family, tribe, nation and world have opposed me. Now five billion people are living on earth. The problem is how to bless them. If I bless them in place of Adam and Jesus, Satan cannot accuse me.
As True Parents and the Completed Testament Age are pro-claimed, be bold and attack the enemy. From the perspective of God’s original ideal of creation, the true family, true nation and true world start from True Parents, parents who have not violated God’s principle of creation.
TAKE THE OFFENSIVE
Now the age of being on the defensive has been changed to the age of being on the offensive. We have come to the age of restoring elder sonship, parenthood, kingship and royal clan-hood. The sons and daughters of parents who opposed us the most are now being blessed and placed in the position of the second coming lord.
On August 25, 1992, I blessed people on the condition that they believe in True Parents. When 200 or 300 tribe members are blessed at the same time, the position of tribal ancestor will be determined according to the order in which members register as tribal messiah in their nation.
Every one of the five billion people in the world is either religious or non-religious. The descendants of the first ancestor are the secular humanists throughout the world. The descendants of the second ancestor are the religious people. The religious world should be united. Just as the resurrected Christ dominated the world for 2,000 years, the descendants of the living Christ can unify the world; but they can do it in 700 years, not 2,000 years.
The people who follow the Second Coming Lord are those who think only of God and do not focus on the secular world. The Second Coming Lord should complete this process and unify the world.
The united world is now coming. This world has rapidly entered into an age of confusion. The world has reached its present tragic condition through the practice of free sex, incest, etc. The Lord should solve these problems. Since the free world rejected the coming Lord, the world is now falling into hell.
This is the age of returning to God. Are you the descendant of the first ancestor or the second ancestor? The Unification Church includes all types. Among you there are persons who belong to the first ancestor, while others belong to the second or third ancestor. Some are my direct descendants, others are in Jesus’ group, and still others are thieves, belonging to Adam’s group.
When people enter heaven in the future, spiritual persons will poke those who have done indecent things. Such a ruthless age is coming. No one can lie about their deeds and avoid the consequences. Therefore, we should unite our mind and body. Unity starts from our mind.
In this age of True Parents and the Completed Testament, people should hurry to enter heaven. However, if they cannot find the tribal messiah or family messiah, they cannot enter the nation. As people in the world begin to enter the heavenly nation, the others should pack their things and change houses with them. Those who opposed the Unification Church may go to Siberia or some other place they desire. Such a period of great movement is coming.
Knowing this, I performed international marriages to create a platform upon which people can settle at the time of great moving.
On this Children’s Day, with the joy and ecstasy of the Completed Testament Age, I am emphasizing the need to fulfill one’s responsibility.
