Father’s speech at the true parents’ birthday celebration held on February 5, 1995 at world mission center, New York
Congratulations to all of you on the fiftieth year since the end of World War II. This is a turning point inhuman history because of my victory. A new history is beginning.
Today is True Parents’ Birthday celebration. This is such a special birthday. If we expand the meaning of the birthday of True Parents, this is the celebration day for the entire True Family.
I would like to call In Jin Nim’s couple to the stage and celebrate another special occasion with all of you. There have been millions of Christian ministers all over the world. Within our community, many people work in the capacity of pastors and reverends, but I never officially ordained anyone. True Family can stand upon True Parents’ victorious foundation. Since my second daughter, In Jin Nim, recently graduated from Harvard Divinity School, I would like to ordain her as the first official reverend of Unification Church.
This is a triple celebration. Jin Sung Nim, In Jin Nim’s husband, received his Ph.D. yester-day from Columbia University. After graduating from Harvard University, he was given a $100,000 scholarship from Columbia. While studying at Columbia he went back and forth to Harvard. Therefore, today we will celebrate In Jin Nim becoming the official pastor of Unification Church and Jin Sung Nim receiving his Ph.D. Let’s invite both of them to the stage. Jin Sung Nim is the first among the True Family members to obtain a Ph.D. Let’s welcome them!
(Father wrote on the chalk board) The word chook stands for a celebration, and sajang is like a priest, in the old Hebrew tradition, who led the worship and offered sacrifices. Chooksa-jang is also like a Catholic priest or Protestant minister. I am adding one more task to this minister, and that is to celebrate
blessings. There will be different levels of chooksajtmg in the future, ranging from family level to tribal, national and worldwide levels. I will officially pray to ordain In Jin Nim as chook-sajang. (Father prays in Korean and Mother gives her own ring to In Jin Nim to commemorate the occasion.)
Today’s topic is “True Ancestor and True Nation.” Because of the fall, humankind never had true ancestors and never became true people. At the same time God had no true position as God. God initially wanted to see a true family, a true tribe, a true nation and a true world established, but the fall prevented it. As human beings we are responsible to find our true ancestors and true family in order to create a true nation.
This fallen world has been dominated by Satan. No matter what people did to achieve peace, happiness or harmony, it did not have anything to do with God. Everything has been false.
In the fallen world, everything is chaotic. Through the history of restoration, God has been restoring the false world to a true world, creating a true family, true nation and true world in which true peace, true happiness and true harmony can be established. Right now the world is on the verge of perishing; it has no center on the individual, family, societal, national or worldwide levels. People are lost and confused, not knowing which direction to go.
We must understand this phenomenon in light of God’s providence. The world has been under satanic domination; it must end one way or another before receiving the true Messiah, who comes as True Parents for all humankind. True Parents and the new civilization will begin from the individual level and advance to the national, worldwide and cosmic levels. This is an inevitable phenomenon centering on True Parents. Centering on True Parents, the new world develops exactly opposite to the way that it developed under Satan. Satan will finally fail and lose everything. Everything is turned over to God’s side. This is the turning point.
That is why I gave this year’s motto, “Let’s Inherit True Parent’s Realm of Victory.” This victory is not just True Parents’ victory, but God’s victory as well. God and True Parents want to share this victory with all humankind who are in the position of the children of True Parents, based on the law of indemnity. Due to the fall, Adam and Eve did not have absolute faith or an absolute vertical relationship with God. Now we have to establish absolute faith in God and an absolute vertical relation-ship with Him as His children, centered on True Parents and true love. In this way, God’s dominion is restored. You have this privilege because True Parents are totally united with God.
I have established an absolute line of faith and an absolute father-son relationship with God. If you follow True Parents’ footsteps, you will receive the same blessing and enjoy the same privilege. Do you understand? Like me, you need to be absolutely centered on God; you must center on True Parents with ab-solute faith and absolute love. This connection makes us one body. God is turning, True Parents are turning and humankind is turning, becoming one body going from Satan’s side to God’s side.
RESTORING OUR HOMETOWN
We cannot forget our hometown, because that is where our ancestors’ lineage remains. From generation to generation, our ancestors lived there and their memories remain. The role of the nation is to protect the hometown. We cannot forget our hometown or nation because that is our foundation of love. When we live in our hometown, our nation will protect us. We must remember our hometown and cherish the meaning of our nation.
People did not know that all hometowns and nations throughout history have been under satanic domination. There has never been any true hometown or true nation under God until this point because of the fall.
There are 240 million people living in America, but no one can claim that his hometown was initiated by God. Each hometown is still under satanic domination. Once we clearly understand that our hometown and our nation still belong to Satan, we can understand the meaning of the true hometown and the true nation.
America is the leading country of the free world and the entire world, but is America qualified to lead the world according to God’s will? This country is a melting pot with numerous racial and social problems. How did all these problems occur? Who caused them? The simple answer is man and woman! Why? Because they were not true man and woman.
THE STARTING POINT OF THE UNIVERSE IS GIVING
Among the 2,000 people here today, I see about 2,000 different characters and different ways of thinking. Man and woman were originally created by an omniscient and omnipotent God. Men should have a certain standard and live by a certain formula to resemble God. The same applies to women. Men and women who live by this certain standard would be called true men and true women. The fundamental problem is that man and woman are not totally united and, therefore, do not live according to God’s standard.
In men and women, the love organs are shaped differently; one is concave and the other convex. These are the love organs given by God. The entire universe exists for the sake of love and because of love. The mineral, plant and animal kingdoms exist in positive and negative counterparts. Life exists in dual characteristics to make circular motion. Circular motion creates action, and action produces energy. A single man or a single woman cannot produce such circular motion. There needs to be a subject-object relationship for circular movement.
The starting point of this universe was giving. After giving, should we remember what we gave or just keep giving more? (Give more.) To remember what you gave is not the practice of true love. The universal formula is to give, forget and then give fresh again.
Another universal formula is that every being wants a love partner that is better than itself. The love partners for a woman are her husband and her children. The love partners for a man are his wife and his children. This makes a harmonious relationship. Such partnerships make us interrelated.
Self-pride will not lead to unification. We have to learn from God. God created the universe by offering Himself first and giving infinitely. Just as God invested Himself infinitely, when a man gives infinitely of himself for his love partner and a woman gives infinitely of herself for her love partner, they can find unification.
The next question is the meaning of true man and true woman. True man and true woman are those who exactly resemble me in giving and forgetting and giving and forgetting. Giving for the sake of others makes a person a true man or a true woman.
I recognize Dr. Richard Rubenstein’s couple over there. Have you become true husband and true wife, a true man and a true woman? In your marriage you should never calculate how much money belongs to you and how much be longs to your spouse. (Laughter.) You should not have two bank accounts. Everything should be one.
THE EXPANDING POWER OF LOVE
All beings, from minerals to people, exist in subject-object relationships for the sake of love. The various levels of existence exhibit different types of movement; however, no minus wants to remain a minus–it longs to become a plus. Through circular movement, each being seeks to expand for the sake of love. That is how they develop and progress. Generally, movement uses up energy; however, the power of true love which drives circular movement pushes beings forward and makes them expand.
For example, if I am giving you love you should not be satisfied just to receive it. When you receive love, you should add your own unique elements to it and return it to the giver. When love is returned as something new, fresh and exciting, it is raised to an even higher level. This is the way to reciprocate love and develop ever larger reservoirs for true love. This expanding process can go on forever.
The Value of an Object
Since everything started from God, everything should return to God. The Christian ministers in this audience may be shocked by this statement. What does it mean that we must return to God? When you are by yourself for a certain period of time, do you feel excited or lonely? So me time s you may fee l like dying, because you have no one to talk to. If a woman has to live her entire life alone, will it be a sad or happy life?
Suppose you have only your husband’s handkerchief as your object. Now you are not just a lonely subject, but you have an object. If you hold one side of the handkerchief and pull on it, and your love partner holds the other side and pulls it, gradually both of you will be come close r. By the time both of your hands meet together, you kiss each other. You can keep the handkerchief with you forever to remember your partner. Whenever you miss your love partner, you can always kiss the handkerchief and remember. You can live in that memory and you can dance in that memory. You may look abnormal, but who cares?
I am trying to teach you the value of an object. No matter how small and insignificant it may be, the object is important. When you get married, you want your spouse to be better than yourself, even a hundred times better. Where does this kind of thinking come from? From God. Another fascination is to be able to trace your ancestry. Where does this way of thinking come from? God? If you ask God whether He wants His object to be a hundred times better than Himself, God will punch you and say, “Why do you ask such a silly question? That goes without saying.”
God is the first and only cause. Humankind is the result of the creation, not the cause. If the result has certain characteristics, they must come from the cause. Does God need His love partner? (Yes!) No! [The audience and Father continue in this manner until everyone laughs.] No matter how famous or prominent you may be, you will become humble in front of the truth. Because of this kind of truth even Dr. Richard Rubenstein needs his wife absolutely, and Dr. Betty Rubenstein needs her husband absolutely! (Laughter.)
THE CENTRAL TRUNK AND CENTRAL ROOT
All beings in this world exist for the sake of love. A tree has a central bud, central trunk and central root. There can be many small roots, branches and leaves, but there is only one central trunk. It does not matter to which branch a leaf be longs, eventually it has to go through the central trunk and central root to maintain its life. No matter how beautiful a leaf may be or how strong a branch may lo ok, they all resemble the central trunk and get nourishment from the central root. They cannot become the central trunk or root themselves; they are objects of the trunk and root. Fruits borne on different parts of the tree have the same value as long as the y have the same subject.
The fruits share the same nourishment, same water and same sweetness distribute d by the central trunk.
Let us compare human history to a tree. There is a central root and central trunk common to all humankind. Therefore, in God’s eyes, no matter how rich or powerful Americans may be, they still belong to the central root and central trunk; Americans are not the central trunk themselves, only branches of the human tree.
There are many different branches and many fruits, but they all have the same value because they are connected to the same trunk. When the owner of the orchard comes to see his trees, do you think he will say, “You apples do not belong to me because you are not from the central bud”? No! as long as the fruit is on the same tree, it has the same value. On the other hand, when the owner of the orchard se e s an apple on a lower branch that is bigger and more beautiful than the other ones, he wants to store it in the best place and give it the best care.
Therefore, no matter how insignificant your family may be, if it produces the best quality children, God will choose the m and store the m in His most precious place. Your family will then be considered precious.
Why did God create the universe? God wanted to have a real partner. We should not act like animals. Instead, we should be proud of being God’s love partner. How can you make a partnership with God, if yo u cannot see or touch Him? This is a problem. Therefore, we must know God.
THE RIGHTS OF LOVE PARTNERS
Dr. Rubenstein, again! (Laughter.) Do you know God? If not, you are not totally qualified to be His love partner. Once you make a love relationship with anyone, you always have the right of possession. Suppose there is a royal family with many beautiful children. However, one day a gangster kidnaps a daughter and marries her. No matter how proud that royal family may be of their child, no one can deny the gangster’s claim over her. They have to let their child go and live with the gangster, because unification through the love relationship affects ownership.
Do you want to give ownership to someone for eternity or only temporarily? Forever, forever! Only through a true love relationship can ownership take place for eternity.
Free sex is Satan’s way of blocking the road to the kingdom of God on earth. Free sex is a temporary and false relationship. Knowing the for mu la of true love, we want to eliminate free sex. Since the world is rampant with free sex, do you want to ignore it or take action against it? Are you willing to die working to stop it!
If the purpose of life is love, how can you get the love you were born for? You women can get it through me n. Without men, you women cannot find true love. Never, never, never! Love must have a subject and an object. The subject is represented by the convex shape and the object is represented by the concave shape. In this way God c re ate d man and woman to achieve love. Because of love, your shape is either convex or concave. To find absolute love, you must find an absolute man or absolute woman. An absolute man alone cannot find absolute love. He needs woman.
THE END OF FALSE LOVE
American women say that woman, not man, is plus. No matter what American women say, they are the minus. Why should a man be in the subject position? In America, wives are the queens, the masters of the house. (Father imitates a man opening the door for a woman and saying, “Please go in.”) Such a man is not just being courteous; he is ac ting like a servant. This happens because these are the last days, and America is in the position of bride. To receive the Lord of the Second Advent, who comes as the bride groom, this country should act like a bride. The bride is the queen, and the bride groom is the king. Without receiving the bridegroom as the king of kings, you have no future.
In the last days, many housewives and mothers will become prostitutes. Prostitutes are in the dungeons of hell because of free sex. Other social problems in the last days center on alcohol, drugs and homosexuality. Homosexual me n and women deny the opposite sex as a sexual partner, even insects do not do that. That is the dirtiest thing you can imagine in this world. Once people are in a homosexual relationship, they do not know what reality is.
Human history started with false love. This false world now has to end in order for the new world to dawn. The world started with false love, and all these false statements and false loves must end. A heavenly storm or flood should come and wash the m away. Even an earthquake should come and bury them.
Man and wo man e ach represent only half of the human race. No matter how famous or knowledge able you may be, you are incomplete alone, and you do not have a right to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. What can make you complete? The love of your partner. When you become one with your spouse, do you want this oneness to last temporarily or for eternity? (For eternity.) Why? Once anything is complete, it will be welcomed anytime and anywhere. When you become whole, the entire universe will want to welcome you. Whatever is perfected will be protected by the whole universe. Nothing can destroy it.
MEN AND WOMEN NEED EACH OTHER
Where should convex and concave become one? Should concave come to convex or should convex go to concave? The central point, where the vertical line from God passes through, is where convex and concave should meet. That is the eternal meeting point. Man and woman must become one centered on God. When man and woman become totally one, there should be no gaps between them, only a tight fit. Once man and woman become perfectly united, God Himself cannot separate them. God will be attracted to them and be unable to leave them. A man and a woman who become one will form a minus in relation to God and create a higher union. Once this kind of physical relationship takes place, you will never be separated. You will be in a constant circular movement, revolving in and out, up and down throughout eternity. The entire universe will watch in amazement. They will stare at you. How wonderful such a couple is!
When man and woman become one, they form another object of true love and become the body of God. The spirit of God is in the position of plus; it is like the axis of the universe.
To talk about women presupposes the existence of men. Please understand, women, that you were not born because of yourselves. The principle of existence is living for the sake of others. Men have big shoulders, symbolizing strength and power, while woman have bigger hips, symbolizing the power to produce children. For example, if three women sit side by side on a bus, their hips fill the seat but the upper part is loose. When the bus turns, they all go to one side. However, if there are two women on each side and a man with big shoulders in the middle, the seat will be balanced. This is an anatomical demonstration that men and women are destined to be together. Therefore, you women need a man beside you.
FREEDOM AND HAPPINESS COME FROM BALANCE
Everything in this universe exists in the relationship of dual characteristics, plus and minus. Why do we have two eyes instead of one? God had to follow the principle of subject object relationship, so He created two eyes. Our nose has two holes. We have two ears, two arms and two legs. This is the way we are balanced. If we were one-sided, we would decline. When we become totally united, we will be totally free.
Let us again use our organs to explain freedom. If one of our eyes is harmed and we cannot see, do we feel happy? When one side of our nose is clogged, we feel miserable. If we can hear out of only one ear, we feel uncomfortable. If we lose one arm, the other arm will be lonely. In a state of imbalance, we lack freedom, peace, happiness or unification. Without balance, every creature is depressed and cannot feel satisfied.
Sickness occurs when one part of your body or mind is unbalanced. Your mind and body must be united at all times. The universal force puts pressure on an unbalanced being and pushes it out. The law of the universe exists to protect the united subject and object totally. Universal law will not sustain an unbalanced existence. The pushing power of the universe will give you pain so you will seek balance. To be balanced, man and woman must be together; if they are not totally united, they will be cast out by the universe.
Take gravity as an example. Gravity is a powerful force, but because we can balance ourselves we do not feel the pull of gravity. The moment we lose our balance something unpleasant happens.
When a man and a woman are totally balanced and united, there are no strange feelings between them. Women are usually sensitive about cleanliness. If you see someone’s waste ten yards away, you will hold your nose and walk away. However, when you go to the toilet in the morning, do you put a mask on? Once you are totally one with something or someone, you do not feel dirty or strange or different.
When you kiss your spouse, does the saliva taste sweet or bitter? Be honest with me. In reality, saliva is not sweet, but it seems sweet to you because of the power of love.
Love can make a dead person come alive and a living per-son want to die. In other words, if your beloved husband says something detrimental to you, you may want to die because of that one word. On the other hand, if a husband says loving words to his dying wife, those words can make his wife want to live. Love power can do anything.
THROUGH MARRIAGE WE BECOME WHOLE
We are all born for the sake of love, and we have to get married to become whole. Only through marriage can we become complete and thus become objects of true love. Through true love we can become the object of God and occupy God. We can even claim ownership of God when we become totally one through true love. Such unification will bring about a peaceful and happy world. Only when we are balanced centering on God can happiness and freedom occur.
You men must hold onto your wives for eternity and never let them go. Eventually, you have to go to God and occupy God, but without your wives you cannot do that. You women have to say to your husbands, “If the only way you can occupy God is by choking me, then go ahead and do it quickly.” You women must obey, unite and work with your husbands to achieve the goal. Since you men are now in the objective position to God, you must make unity with your wife no matter what it takes.
All the woman then has to do is hang on like a clamp, as tightly as she can, to her husband all the way to God.
Man has to do his absolute best to occupy woman and woman has to do her absolute best to occupy man. Together they will become an absolute object to true love, and with true love they will create total unity, becoming an object of God. God is in the position of mind and husband and wife are in the position of body when they are centered on true love. This is how we will build the Kingdom of God here on earth, as well as in heaven.
The entire cosmos started from God and we have to return to God. If God is the subject and we are the object, we have to resemble God. Yet we are all finite beings so we need a bridge to reach God; that is conscience.
This is my birthday celebration, so you should offer your congratulations, instead of making me work hard! Are you in the position of filial sons and daughters or patriots or saints? (Silence.) Whenever you run out of answers, you want me to stop talking. Fallen nature makes you want to hide behind a mask. (One person in the audience responds: “We are in training to be filial sons and daughters.”) Oh, a stubborn one!
Suppose a husband and wife want to become totally united. What method do they use to build such a unity? Is their starting point any different from the starting point God used to create humankind? If love had various starting points, it would go in different directions. Therefore, the starting point must be the same. The most precious organ for both men and women is the sexual organ, which God created with the most concentration. Only the sexual organ connects to love, life and conscience. This is the only way God can connect with love, life, lineage and conscience and make unity with them. There is only one point where unification occurs.
Why am I revealing this truth to such a famous theologian as Dr. Rubenstein? He may not understand the truth in this way. Dr. Rubenstein, do you agree with me? Dr. Rubenstein: We fought hard, but we believe Reverend Moon is right.
PERFECTION OF LOVE IN THE FAMILY
Have you seen love? You have not seen love itself, but you have seen love phenomena, the shadow of love. You may feel love, but you cannot touch it or see it. Love is generated through the reciprocal relationship with your love partner. Does God cherish knowledge, power or money? He only wants love. The definition of true love is to sacrifice your life three times. If you are willing to sacrifice your life for the sake of love three times, each time you will be resurrected. You must sacrifice your life three times, representing the formation, growth and perfection stages.
The love experienced by a husband and wife before they have their own children is the formation stage of love. Love matures when they begin producing children, through whom they experience the growth stage of love. When their children grow up and begin having children, the couple feels another level of love as grandparents, which is the perfection stage of love. Love cannot be perfected without the experience of raising your children and grandchildren. The four position foundation can only be established through these three levels of love.
The family is the seed of love. You harvest the love seed through your grandchildren, your parents and your grand-parents. These three generations enable the fruit of a family’s love to ripen in preparation for the harvest. The relationships between each family member are so important. Brothers and sisters must be able to love each other beyond even their own life, sacrificing their personal desires. That same level of love should be practiced between parents and children, between grandparents and children, and between husbands and wives. To harvest the family seed, grandparents must form a partner-ship with their own children. This love relationship should be transmitted from the grandchildren through the in-laws and eventually back to God. Once love reaches you, you have to add your own elements to it and pass it on, in a circular pattern. You cannot separate from love once the circular motion takes place.
Husbands and wives, grandparents and children and parents and children are all looking for the highest quality of love. When you embrace someone, do you want to make a small embrace or a big embrace? This formula includes all humankind. Your family is the training ground where this model of the universe, this paradigm of the Kingdom of God on earth is created. Once you are trained in your family to practice such love, you can go to a foreign country; there, you will be able to love people of any age as if they were members of your family. If you practice loving all people by such an elevated standard, the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven will surely come.
When I came to America, did I practice such a love toward America? When America really opposed me and sent me to Danbury prison, did I hate America? I offered more love. If Americans truly understand my love for America, unite with me and follow me, this place will become the Kingdom of God on earth.
Why do we have to offer an even higher quality of love to others than to our own family members? Your family members are very similar to you in character and they know you. If you force them to surrender to you, there will be a big conflict. God has shown us how to humble ourselves and invest ourselves for the sake of the creation. By following this pattern, we will know how to win our family’s hearts. We then will be able to become the central person in our family and unify our family members.
You can raise your family’s level of love by totally living for the sake of each family member. Such sacrificial love will enable the family members to develop a higher level of love as well. This is the law of progression. When you are able to open yourself to each family member and give of yourself to each of them, they will all become yours. That is the way you can win them and unify them.
REACHING HIGHER LEVELS OF LOVE
Your family then should practice the same principle of loving your tribe, which consists of many different families. You should not sacrifice your tribe for the sake of your family; in-stead, your family should sacrifice for the tribe. If you sacrifice your family for the tribe, the families in the tribe will be ele-vated to a higher level. In the same way, you should sacrifice your tribe for the nation, your nation for the world, the world for the cosmos, and the cosmos for God. God ·will then belong to you and He will come to the individual level and be yours. The full circle of love has such a wonderful a purpose!
The communists say, “Yours is mine and mine is yours.” That is the satanic concept. The Unification view says, “Mine is for the sake of the family, my family exists for the tribe, my tribe exists for the nation, my nation exists for the world, my world exists for the cosmos, and the cosmos exists for the sake of God. Eventually, God exists for my sake. God is mine and God’s property is my property.”
I have been investing everything for the sake of the world and God to give this ownership to humankind. I became victorious during the last forty years by resembling God. During the past 6,000 years, God set the example of investing Himself and then forgetting it, investing and forgetting. I have been practicing this all these years. Just as God is eventually the victor, I also win the victory and share these victories with God. This is the purpose and direction of history. Without following this formula, unification and happiness are impossible.
Can you pledge that you will really live up to my expectation? When you look inside yourself, you may find love for your wife and children, but do you really find love for your nation, for the world and for God?
We must practice this because God’s fundamental goal is saving the world, including God Himself. How can we liberate God? God’s ideal of love is not yet achieved in this world. Logically you cannot deny that.
Just because you are supporting your family and sending your children to school, you cannot neglect your mission. Your nation will perish and God’s providence will fail if you do not keep the right attitude. God has sacrificed everything to save this world. In this partnership, everyone must follow God absolutely, heart and body. Unless you follow this formula, there is no hope for a peaceful, happy world.
If you cannot see love, life, lineage or conscience, how can you feel them? Because you are totally one with yourself, you cannot see or feel love. To stimulate the life, love, lineage and conscience within you, you need your love partner. You alone may not be able to feel how much love you have; however, when your love partner appears and stimulates your love then your heart starts beating faster. You experience many different shades and angles of love. Suddenly you become aware of love. Isn’t this true? (Yes!) When you meet your partner, you feel thunder and lightning. Lightning and thunder herald the marriage of nature. Like rain coming down, there are tears and all kind of fluid in the union of a man and a woman. Do you understand?
LOVE WITHOUT RESERVATION
Here is another important concept of love. In order for husband and wife to receive 100 percent of each other’s love, you must each go down to the zero point. If you have no reservation whatsoever, then you can feel 100 percent love from your spouse. It is a universal secret that once you become totally one as husband and wife, you should feel no reservation. When you walk into the wedding room, you must be in the position of zero. When two zeroes come together, sparks fly, creating lightning and thunder. At your wedding, the universe will embrace you. God will look upon you and see two complete beings who have become one. How wonderful such lovemaking is!
Until now there has been no true ancestor, true family, true tribe, true nation or true world. That is why religions such as Christianity and Buddhism have encouraged faithful people to live ascetic lives and keep chaste.
I am sending everyone to their hometowns as tribal messiahs. This is truly the time of glory and victory and hope for humanity. The human fall produced the false ancestor, false family, false nation and false world.
We have to restore this entire fallen world through believing in True Parents, reaching the true God, and becoming our true selves. By doing so we will build the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven, centered upon True Parents. The starting point is tradition centered on true love, True Parents and God.
True human and divine love meet at the true sexual organs. The root of love, life, lineage and conscience are in God. You cannot find God because God is in the deepest part of yourself; He is one with you. Once your partner, who has God within himself or herself, becomes one with you then the God within yourself will be stimulated, and you will become aware of His existence.
THE PALACE OF LOVE, LIFE AND LINEAGE
Adam and Eve should have become totally one and inseparable from God. Because of the fall, God’s original place was infiltrated and occupied by Satan. The true ancestor and true nation must be derived from the love organs of a true man and a true woman. Once you and your spouse become totally united, centered on true love, your love organ becomes the palace of true love, the palace of life, the palace of lineage and the palace of conscience. This is where the Kingdom of Heaven on earth begins.
You cannot deny that Adam and Eve were created as the body of God. The love organs of Adam and Eve were to be the central, original palace of love, life and lineage. As the palace of love, life, lineage and even the conscience, our love organs connect us to the central root and central branch: Therefore, your palace of love, life, lineage and conscience.
Fallen people have not known that the four great realms of heart were destroyed. The highest goal of humankind is for husband and wife to totally become one, go back to their hometown, and build the kingdom of true love, true life, true lineage and even true conscience. This is how the Kingdom of God on earth will be built. This completes the history of salvation.
We are without our true nation. Our goal as members of the Unification Church is to return to our hometown and become the first ancestor and first founding father of our true nation. You must understand that God has been shedding tears and even blood and sweat for thousands of years to accomplish this goal. When you liberate True Parents, you liberate God at the same time.
This is the fiftieth year since the end of World War II. Upon this victorious foundation I gave you this year’s motto: “Let Us Inherit True Parents’ Realm of Victory.” Centered on the vertical True Parents (God) and horizontal True Parents (our True Parents), you must live up to the expectation of God and True Parents. This is your preeminent task. Strive to achieve the goal of unity with True Parents. To do so you have to invest and sacrifice everything you have, including your life, just as God and True Parents have done. Those who are determined to do your absolute best to live up to the expectations of God and True Parents, raise both of your hands! This is your gift to True Parents on our birthday. Stand up and raise your hands!
