“Food is Love” is the theme of Christmas Food Drive Project in Cambodia held on December 25, 2022 in front of Kanta Bopha IV Children’s Hospital in Phnom Penh Capital city, Cambodia organized by the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace-Cambodia. This event brought over 9 youth volunteers and students from IAYSP Cambodia and we gave food boxes to over 50-60 patients, children and parents waiting to hospital to open in order to receive treatment their children also we gave other food boxes to hospital staff and vendors.
The IAYSP Cambodia team prepare the food from 3am early in the morning happily and excited to give to those children and parents waiting in front of hospital and make them happy and have a good Christmas experience through giving them simple food boxes represents our love because according to our True Father “Food is LOVE”.
When we arrived to the place where we are going to give food, we arrived at 5am early in the morning there are not so much patients, children and parents waiting to open the hospital, that’s why we wait for 1 hour and 30 minutes to give the food boxes that we prepare for them. All of our IAYSP Cambodia team are really excited, happy and thankful to experience this kind of service project that through this service project we can experience so much happiness and really feel the true meaning of Christmas which is Love, giving and practice living for the sake of others.
Our joyful project ended with a happy heart and happy smile because all the food boxes we prepare are all finished and given to all the patients, children, parents including vendors in front of the Children’s Hospital. We end the project with such thankful heart and inspired to do it again with a happy and youthful spirit and set as example for the young generations in Cambodia and around the world through doing this kind of project that we can make other people happy.
