On the occasion of establishment of WFWP in Kenya, we held a commemorative event on December 15th 2022. It was an ideal occasion to reach out and also to educate Women Leaders about the Vision and Mission of our Founders of the WFWPI.
The Agenda included reading of the Congratulatory message from WFWPI President Dr Julia Moon which was read by Dr Susan Kone the IVP WFWP Africa. An Introduction Video of the WFWP global initiatives and activities followed and a video clip which featured highlights of various impactful activities and programs.
Also we had congratulatory messages from the 1st Lady of Kajiado County, H. E Dr Edna Lenku, Peace Ambassadors and Leaders of Affiliated Providential Organizations.
During the event, 15 women leader were awarded the Global Women Peace Ambassador Certificate and also membership certificates were presented to 14 Women Leaders.
In the Congratulatory messages, all the speakers thanked the Founders of WFWPI for their Visionary Leadership and opening the way for this era of women where they can work freely and reach their Full potential and contribute towards establishing a Peaceful World.
A the end we thanked all the Women Leaders and Partners who have been actively involved in WFWP activities over the years and also for honoring the occasion by their presence. This was followed by cutting the Anniversary cake and share refreshments. It was a successful and Happy Event.
All the recipients of the Global Women Peace Award were so happy and grateful for the recognition of their works and efforts in serving humanity.
The Kajiado County 1st Lady H.E Dr Edna Lenku who was one of the recipients and represented in the occasion by Hon Emily Lesian was so delighted and happy for the recognition and thanked the WFWP for the great achievements over the years.
The News about her Award was covered by the County TV and the whole County celebrated her recognition.
