Theory of Heavenly Unified Korea

Hello, I’m Jin Sung-bae, the president of the Peace Foundation. I planned today’s lecture topic on the meaning of Heavenly Unified Korea and women, but I confess I don’t know much about the meaning of women in Heavenly Unified Korea. I chose the theme “Meaning of Heavenly Unified Korea and Significance of a Nation” this week because we usually continue the previous week’s lecture according to our overall lecture schedule. Since each individual topic has very important meaning, even if you do not understand the whole subject, I think it will be an opportunity to understand the meaning of Heavenly Unified Korea in a way so that you recognize the significance of women in context.

Let me summarize the conclusion of Peace Summit 2022 and the presidential election that I talked about last week. The Korean Peninsula Peace Summit 2022 held from February 11 to 13 was attended by 85 former and current leaders from 70 nations, with representatives of major religions, media, economics, academic and female leaders. The declaration adopted here was sent to the leaders of 157 countries that have jointly established diplomatic relations between the two Koreas.

In her special address, Dr. Han stressed that when everyone in the world goes to the place where God is attended as Parent, we will realize a world of true world of peace, freedom and equality, happiness, unification, and family centered on our Heavenly Parent. It’s a miracle of the Republic of Korea that the Korean Peninsula Peace Summit was successfully held and world leaders gathered while travel was prohibitive due to COVID-19. It is a miracle that cannot be found in world history. Former President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Secretary of State Pompeo attended. In fact, they were able to come thanks to our old blessed families, Senators Gingrich and Burton. We are very grateful to Newt Gingrich and Dan Burton for sending messages to the White House, Blue House, and China warning North Korea “Don’t make a misstep” and reassuring South Korea “Don’t be alarmed.” in August last year when footage of U.S. troops withdrawing, refugees flocking to airfields and falling from planes in Afghanistan. They are more concerned about the threat of war on the Korean Peninsula than we are.

Prime Minister Hun Sen, who was criticized as a dictator, testified to Rev. Han’s global leadership in a meeting with President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House. Also, he became friends with our allies by receiving the Sunhak Peace Prize with emotional tears. Who made Hun Sen like this? If not God’s working behind this, what do you think it could be? Prime Minister Hun Sen and world leaders responded to the call of God and to the call of conscience. Of course, behind it were the sacrifices and services of the World Headquarters, including Rev. Han, who loves them with tears, and General Director Yoon Young-ho. Our sincerity gathered one by one and touched God, and Jehovah God moved the hearts of Hun Sen and the world leaders. The fact that the leaders of democratic and socialist countries united on the left and right sides of Rev. Han can be seen as the core meaning of this last Korean Peninsula Peace Summit 2022.

The same goes for this presidential election. 16 million to 16 million votes. It’s a neck-and-neck race and you can’t say one “won or lost.” The People Power party won, but what is the reason? Just as Rev. Han took the center stage and united the left and right socialist and democratic leaders at the Korean Peninsula Peace Summit 2022, the recent presidential election also touched God with the sincere devotion of Rev. Han, who loves the Republic of Korea. It should be interpreted as an incident in which God intervened in the presidential election. At the center of the Korean Peninsula Peace Summit and this presidential election, there was the only begotten daughter, Rev. Hak Ja Han. We can all see the history of God’s miracle when we become one with Rev. Han, regardless of the power of the Democratic Party and the People’s Power party. You can see it like this. God gave us Godism, an ideology that can overcome left and right ideologies. The only weapon that can overcome communism or Juche ideology is the Doo-ik (Headwing) ideology of Heavenly Unified Korea. We have been given weapons that can unite the conservatives and liberals, and North and South. You can see it like this.

In this way, I define the Peace Summit as a revolution of God of consolation in a way. The Peace Forum here is a Godism revolution from below. Or you could view it as a two-wing unification movement. Here, we must combine right and left wing and progress and conservative party with true love and Doo-ik (Headwing) ideology. Unconditionally combining left- and right-wing and progressive and conservatism parties is not always done through true love and Headwing ideology. True love can be realized when the law of separation and the law of forgiveness are followed. When we transcend the selfish, regional partisanship of the right and the hierarchical partisanship of the left, we can become one with true love and Headwing ideology. We’re talking about the “586 generation” who believed in Juche ideology in their youth. If they insist on their own ideology, they cannot become one with true love. We don’t know how many people follow Juche ideology. Two or three million, we don’t know the number, but we can see that they don’t believe in Juche ideology anymore. There is a generation that believed in the Juche ideology in the past, who now send their children to the United States without admiring North Korea.

But their ideological orientation is stronger than religion and nothing is as scary as ideology. In that sense, the logic of class equality and peace in the Democratic Party of Korea should also be separated into values centered on Shimjeong and should be changed. The same goes for the People’s Power party. I think that the abuse of right-wing freedom and selfish partisanship can unify and have true love only when separation and changeable mind are abandoned and we adopt values centered on Shimjeong. If you are arrogant without knowing that the heaven is scary and stick to your ideology, you cannot help but die. You can become one when you abandon wrong ideas and change to Godism. This is why ideological struggles and wars cannot be avoided. I think the Heavenly Unified movement of Godism can only be revealed through ideological debates and struggles. Take a look at Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia. Prime Minister Hun Sen followed the orders of his conscience. The Kim Jong-un regime in Juche ideology could also become a second Hun Sen if they follow Godism. If Africa is on the side of conscience before Europe, the Christian realm, and responds to God’s call, they will be the second and third Hun Sen. I daresay that they can contribute to world peace by winning the Sunhak Peace Prize. In that sense, what is a country when we have a comprehensive understanding of the issues of liberal democracy, socialism or heaven? Let us look at this question.

Look at the two faces of Descartes and Newton. I think they were the starters of democracy and Enlightenment ideas. Descartes said, “I think, therefore I exist.” That’s a philosophical story. The basis of my existence is my reason. So this becomes a very solemn proposition that separates the Middle Ages from the Modern Ages. In other words, truth is not a religious truth. The Bible and the church are not the basis for judging truth, but my subjective reason is the basis for judging truth. That proposition enabled a tremendous historical watershed and turning point. These two systems, Descartes’ reason and Newton’s scientific reason, physics, became the philosophical basis of the Enlightenment and liberal democracy. Kant became the perfectionist of the Enlightenment. When you think of Kant, you may think of Kant as a philosopher who is hard and difficult to understand, but it’s very simple. Kant’s problem is God’s problem. It is also God’s concern to separate the Middle Ages from the Modern Age, and it is also a matter of God to separate the Modern Age from the Contemporary Age. The problem of God is the epistemological God of the Middle Ages, the God that we can prove ontologically, the God that can be grasped by our perception, God who is the proof of existence. The medieval God as a proof of existence itself is meaningless. God is not such a god that we can recognize and ontologically touch, catch, and sense. Kant stated firmly that God is not an epistemological God, but a moral and conscientious God.

But is Kant’s proposition correct? His view is not correct either. To call God morality is a god that is requested through moral reasons: pure reason and practical reason. Is the command of our conscience the command of the word of reason? No, the order of conscience is a moral order, and the order of categorization is an order of mind. Based on Shimjeong and circumstances of Heavenly Parent, conscience morally asks us to give a categorical order. So by Kant’s moral and rational conscience that defined the Middle Ages and the Modern Era, God is the wrong God. The medieval god who was imprisoned in a prison of religious doctrinal bars is not the true god. But Kant, also, was imprisoned in the category of reason, and the morally proven and requested God is not the true God.

The true God is the God of Shimjeong and parents. It’s a god who commands through our conscience through parents’ circumstances and Shimjeong. It is that kind of God. When we are most filial toward our physical parents? It is when we live according to the command of our conscience and the circumstances of our Heavenly Parent. Hyojeong toward physical parents is a life of taking care of our Heavenly Parents and physical parents and living according to the orders of Shimjeong. The life of Hyojeong is the discovery of a new god in Heavenly Unified Korea. It’s also a new truth beyond the Middle Age and modern times. The philosophical theories of Descartes, Newton and Kant may sound esoteric and difficult, but the background of these ideas is a question of God. It’s all about God. We can summarize it as to how we define God, how to apply God, and how to interpret the problem of God correctly. This is the belief of Heavenly Unified Korea which is beyond the Middle Ages and the Modern Era. Let’s take a look at this video.

[video] It’s interesting. It’s a video that we learned about as comedy, but it has deep philosophical meanings. Newton’s mechanical theory penetrates modern civilization. Newton’s scientific reason is a system of dynamics that dominated modern civilization until Einstein came out. This mechanistic worldview is useless without any accessories. It starts with the foundation that the value of society as a whole is the same as the value of a person’s human rights. Liberal democracy is that a person’s natural human rights and freedom have the same values as the whole country and society. This is where liberal democracy and human rights start. But mechanical theory, as you can see in the video, shows that instead people become accessories to machines, and human rights are lost and trampled. These are the two faces that Mechanism presents. It is also a theory that guarantees the value of natural human rights and freedom that respects values of individuals as the same as the value of the whole. But also, one part is reduced to a mere accessory to the machine as a whole. Rather, it is a machine that takes on this one contradiction in which human rights are obliterated. So much for Newton’s mechanical world. It’s a scientific worldview. In our modern times we also live amid this scientific worldview.

So, what is democracy? What is liberal democracy? Descartes deified reason in his “I think.” He discovered the freedom of reason in reason, meaning that “I think.” He mastered the idea of freedom in the rationality of the Enlightenment. “I think therefore I exist.” Descartes discovered the self-existing democratic individual. The concept of democratic freedom comes from the concept of thinking. The subject of individual democracy emerges from the concept of thinking. Therefore, it is a worldview in which all values of democracy redound to the human rights of individuals. The same goes for mechanics. It is a world in which the human rights and freedom of individuals are returned by natural human rights because the values of the entire machine and the human rights of the individual hold the same stature. It starts with the foundation that individual human rights are equal to the values of the nation and society as a whole. It is the fundamental principle of liberal democracy to claim the absoluteness of the human rights of the natural individual, whereby the whole comes back around to the individual.

What is socialism? Socialism sees individual abilities and human rights as the foundation of society, not individual private property. Socialism is not a democratic society where the will and freedom of each human being are guaranteed as much as possible, but an ideology that emphasizes the interests of the whole society. In socialism, the main body of liberation is the proletariat. The purpose of liberation is to abolish private property. As a means of liberation, you justify revolution with violence and make it the rule. So, for revolution, killing, lying, and destroying are no big deal. Their ultimate goal is the revolution. It’s their stern ultimate goal.

Socialism is the exact opposite of the previous diagram. Socialism is a system in which the state owns the means of production and institutes a planned economy. The socialist country claims to distribute jobs, food, clothes, and houses free of charge and realize an equal universal welfare society. Their power structure features a proletarian dictatorship. The fundamental phenomenon of centralization of power is revealed. The purpose of centralization of power is to establish the people as the subject, and the people are concentrated by the Labor Party. One of Labor’s main agents is the Leader. The theory of leadership is that the ultimate subject in the process of centralizing power is the leader. The people and the public that they emphasized are bound to be objects—mere pawns. Therefore, it is inevitable that a socialist country is a worldview basically wrapped up with a false theory that the people are the subject of history. Socialism can be seen as a totalitarian system, a totalitarian society in which individual human rights are essentially confiscated and returned to the entire nation. Liberal democracy, in contrast, is a society reduced to everything for the individual. Socialism is the ideology whereby humans are ultimately embodied in the nation, for the whole society, and the whole state.

In that respect, these two contrasts, liberal democracy which boils down to individuals, and socialism where every value has meaning only for the whole of the nation, illustrate clearly the basic difference between liberal democracy and socialism.

So, what about our Godism and Doo-ik (Headwing) ideology? First, all beings are individual truth bodies that have individuality. It is a truth of personality that it pursues the survival, maintenance, and development of an individual. All beings are individualistic truths. The second quality of personality is that it that it enters subject-object relationships with other personalities. All beings are purpose-driven and interrelated. That’s what emotional beings are like. The rational being “I think” refers only to the individual self. However, human beings as emotional beings talk about the relationship between you and me. We are emotional beings, not just rational as Descartes depicts us. It is the dual purpose of Godism that all entities are related in continuity, and that they are called dependent beings. We are independence beings. An elementary particle has its own purpose as an individual truth body, but in its relationship with atoms, atoms form molecules, molecules make up all things on Earth, things on Earth are all organically connected to the Sun and the universe. The entire cosmos is related to humans, and humans are related to God. The entire universe is basically an organic and relational being that culminate in God and humans. So the universe is like a huge creature.

What is life? When bacteria get in, my cells get all the bacteria information. How much cavalry, how much artillery, how much infantry. They get all the bacteria’s information and send out white blood cells. In a cell, white blood cells are released into a fierce battle. So, if you overcome germs and bacteria, you will get better, and if you don’t, you will get sick. How conscious are our cells? Identify all enemy information, respond to it, and destroy it. This is the job of white blood cells. Pus is dead white blood cells. Now, what is this mysterious creature of the human body? Cells forming one organ have one consciousness. One cell has a unit consciousness, which is called circular consciousness. This circular consciousness is an individualization of cosmic consciousness that is ubiquitous in the universe. I have an individual sense of circle and a subconscious mind that my body, called Jin Sung-bae, is one life. The individual circular consciousness of the cell unit is linked to the individual subconscious mind that has the whole life called “me.” My head aches when my fingertips hurt. When my legs get swollen, all my nerves get stiff. All these five organs are connected together—they make up an organ. It’s organically connected. Analogously, human subconsciousness is connected to cosmic consciousness. The sense of the universe is God and Heaven. Don’t you think so? The cosmic consciousness, the universe, is the surface place of consciousness. The universe is a space of information. The universe embodies the reality of cosmic life.

What does it mean to die? Cutting your fingers doesn’t kill you. This is because the whole life can protect all the cells. But if you cut your throat, you’ll die. So what’s the difference between cutting your finger and cutting your throat? There is just one difference. If your relationship with the universe is cut off, you die. If your relationship with the universe continues, you live. That’s why you live when your fingers are cut off. Now, in that sense, the universe is a huge creature, and every human being is connected by a conscious relationship of life. This is the universe, like a giant creature with a vital connection between the cells of its toes and the cells of its body before they become differentiated. An individual object and the whole object are unified in the mind. Don’t you think so?

The concept of feeling your existence is that you want to feel the static impulse in your life. On the other hand, in terms of the concept of individual purpose and the whole purpose, our Shimjeong (heartistic feeling) makes us look at the individual and the whole in a unified way. I’m not the only one who is buried within me, locked up in my prison, writing my own feelings; when I think of my family, country, and world humanity, we feel blessed and touched by the unity of individual and whole purposes. I might even feel what the Buddha calls “the world’s only existence,” and the whole universe and the self join in sympathetic vibration. Viewing the world from that perspective, the whole purpose and the individual purpose are unified. It feels emotional to discover such an amazing truth that one exists in the center of the universe itself. It is a religious truth that the feeling of unifying the whole and the individual as one, and the feeling of being alone in the whole world, is conveyed.

Jesus is known as the son of God and Hak Ja Han Moon is called the only begotten daughter. Such a concept stems from the influence of the universe. I think it’s to prove it as a concrete event through a proven connection with the Creator and universal consciousness.

So liberal democracy in the South and subjective socialism in the North are nothing more than the relationship between the dual characteristics of internal nature (Sung-sang) and external form (Hyung-sang) in our Principle worldview. After all, liberal democracy is the expression of Sung-sang spiritual values whereby human nature seeks freedom. This is the mechanistic worldview centered on individuals.

Socialism is materialism. It highlights the value of external form. It is socialism that embodies a dialectical worldview based toward that and centered on the whole purpose. Liberal democracy and self-reliance socialism display the contrast of rationality centered on Shimjeong that we talk about. Korea is a world created based on the values of the mind that can unify the whole and the individual. That’s the organic worldview. This organic view of the world harmoniously unites individual and overall purposes. The value of your heart (Shimjeong) is realized. The foundation of Heavenly Unified Korea embodies the values of co-existence, co-prosperity, and co-righteousness centering on the Shimjeong of Heavenly Parent. You can see it like this.

Therefore, it’s in Cheon Il Guk that the organic view of life is specifically implemented. Christianity considers the church as the body of Christ: Christ is the body and the people are the mind. Likewise, Cheon Il Guk is the body of True Parents in Heavenly Unified Korea. We’re like a magnifying glass of True Parents’ body. Our personal life and life of the whole and the sense of the universe all come together to form a giant universe of life. Just as Christianity defines the church as the body of Christ, the inevitable conclusion is that the Kingdom of Heaven is an enlargement of the body of True Parents. I think we can realize our ultimate ideals when we form these communities.

Now from here on we’ll give some more thought to Ta-ah-juiy and co-righteousness. Here’s a video:

[video] I briefly mentioned it last time, but it’s an interesting phenomenon. Think about it: Why do dogs bristle when they see themselves in the mirror? Can I see myself? I can’t see myself. My self is to show to others. You need a mirror to see yourself, I can’t see myself. The same goes for dogs. Dogs fight their own image when they see it for the first time. This is Diego Velázquez’s painting of Aphrodite, the essence of beauty. The woman lying down is Aphrodite goddess of beauty, and the child holding the mirror is Eros the god of desire. Desire is a child-like possibility—this or that can work. Desire flies to heaven, to the Ideal world with wings. The essence of desire and beauty go hand in hand. Look at Venus. What is Venus looking at here? She sees herself from behind while she looks at a man in ecstasy. She feels satisfaction seeing the man looking at her, not by seeing herself in the mirror.

You might say it’s voyeurism, but I’m not talking about such childish things. What I’m talking about here is the essence of sublime beauty. Everyone, what is beauty? What do you say is beautiful? This beauty is a desire to identify oneself and praise oneself. Compliments make whales dance. Not long ago, a young teenager who fell in love with a computer killed his parents when they ruthlessly scolded him. It was a tragic event, but a child longs to be recognized and praised by his parents, no matter how wrong his actions are. There was an incident likewise showing the nature of beauty, where a girl hoped to be praised, and couldn’t stand her mother’s incessant scolding and killed her parents.

When we look in the mirror, we look at ourselves first. The essence of self-praise is the essence of beauty. In that sense, I’m going to talk about co-righteousness. What I’m saying here is, the nature of beauty, the nature of desire is that I am not me myself; I am from taja—the Other. I am from God, I am from my neighbor, I am from you. I exist thanks to a brother or a sister.

Everyone, you know the genitals. Is the genital organ for you? No, aren’t the genitals for the other person? The structure of the genitals itself proceeds through the ta-ah—loving the other. The existence of others is not for me to bristle at, but to treasure one who is greater than me and my essence. I am defined by Ta-ah. My main subject is conscience. The subject of conscience is God, and I am an object in front of conscience. I am a Ta-ah being—a being for Others. Okay? That’s what we’re talking about as co-righteousness. I’m telling you that this is the core principle of a co-righteousness country.

I can’t conclude because of time, so I’ll pose the question first. What is the organic state of Korea? What is Heavenly Unified Korea? I hope we can meet again with these topics as homework. Thank you.
