The Women’s Federation for World Peace Brazil with the partnership of Giving for Good International headed by Sun Jin Nim, initiated a social service project in the Amazonian region with the theme “Clean & Potable Drinking Water for Residents living in Riverside of Amazon River.” This event was held on January 22 to 24, 2022 in Riverside Communities of Amazon River.
This project was implemented in four communities of Murotobinha, Santa Cruz, Sao Lázaro, and Vila Roberta in the Municipality of Obidos, State of Para, north of Brazil, Amazonian Region. The staff volunteer delivered pure filtered water, basic medicines, clothes, toys for the children and books for the young children and for school library, to people in need these areas. All families were so happy and grateful for the initiative.
All communities gathered and worked together with the school directors and community leaders to gather all the residents in different communities. The mayor Jaime Silva authorized the Secretary of Human Social Development Office to accompany our WFWP Brazil team and be part of the social service project to all communities. All expenses during the service project were covered by the municipal government fund as the counterpart of WFWP Brazil.
