Acting on True Mother’s instructions to embrace her children worldwide, Rev. Seung-yeon Doo, Director General of World Mission Headquarters, completed a historic tour of “Heavenly Africa” from January 30 to February 9, 2026.


Events Timeline

  • 30 January 2026: Arrival of Rev. Seung-yeon Doo, Director-General of World Mission Headquarters, in Kinshasa. An official welcoming ceremony was held at the FFWPU Headquarters in Limete.
  • 31 January 2026: Visit to the Kinkole Community Model Church and a strategic meeting with 65 HTG Africa Missionaries.
  • 1 February 2026: Continental Worship Service (1,500 onsite participants, with the rest of Africa joining online) and a Continental Youth Gathering to officially welcome Rev. Doo to the continent.
  • 2 February 2026: Inspection of the 7th Street Church School and church assets, followed by leadership roundtables with Continental, Regional, and National directors.
  • 3 February 2026: Departure of the Director-General for Benin.

Mission Report: Purpose of the Visit

On 30 January 2026, Director-General Rev. Seung-yeon Doo arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of his 2026 Africa Tour. The mission sought to convey True Mother’s heart and guidance to Blessed Families, strengthen the unity between leadership and the laity, and evaluate the progress of the providence across the continent.

Guidance for Blessed Families

Throughout his visit, Rev. Doo engaged with families, youth, and clergy, emphasizing that Blessed Families are called to be models of holiness and joy. He urged the community to become exemplary families that inspire society and embody the ideals of Cheon Il Guk. Rev. Doo offered words of comfort, reminding the members that True Mother is always with them in spirit, encouraging them to remain proactive and faithful even in challenging times.

Empowering the Youth

Meeting with the 65 HTG Africa Missionaries currently enrolled in the one-year missionary program, Rev. Doo highlighted the importance of community life and talent development. He challenged young leaders to:

  • Refine their unique abilities to achieve professional excellence.
  • Become outstanding figures in their respective fields.
  • Actively contribute their skills to the building of Cheon Il Guk.

Leadership and Stewardship

In a series of roundtable meetings, Rev. Doo addressed leaders at all levels, stressing the need for clear organizational structure and proactive problem-solving. He encouraged leaders to take full ownership of their mission areas and resolve challenges locally through strengthened communication.

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of stewardship, noting that church assets and facilities must be meticulously maintained and actively used to ensure their long-term effectiveness in supporting the mission.
