Arrival and Welcome in Côte d’Ivoire

A delegation from the World Mission Headquarters, led by General Director Rev. Seung-Yeon Doo, conducted a four-day visit to Côte d’Ivoire from February 6–9, 2026. Accompanying him were directors Kajikuri Masatate (Mission), Dug Bong Jang (Blessed Families), and Motoyama Katsuyoshi (Planning).

After arriving at Félix Houphouët-Boigny Airport, the delegation—joined by Continental Director Rev. Jean Pierre Kadima and Regional Secretary General Rev. Edwin Plekhanov—received a vibrant official welcome at the FFWPU-CI National Headquarters in Cocody, Abidjan.

Empowering the Youth of North Africa

Rev. Doo dedicated the first half of his visit to the rising generation through three key encounters:

  • Top Gun Heavenly Africa: On February 7, Rev. Doo met with 11 cadets from the Cheon Il Guk Citizen Academy in Yopougon. He exhorted them to develop their true identity and “nourish great ambitions” to become world-class leaders.
  • Regional Youth Assembly: That afternoon, 200 young people from across North Africa (including Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea, and Senegal) gathered at the National Temple. Rev. Doo emphasized their identity as children of Heavenly Parent and True Mother, urging them to build a “joyful and flourishing community.” He also held an open Q&A session addressing the Cheon Won Gung entrance, True Mother’s current status, and the challenges of the Blessing.
  • Young Professionals: On February 8, Rev. Doo met with 50 entrepreneurs and professionals in Cocody. He called for the creation of a professional network to mentor younger generations, effectively reviving the Cranes Club vision established by True Mother in 2014.

Regional Sunday Service

On the morning of February 8, over 1,000 members gathered at the National Temple in Yopougon, with many more joining via Zoom. Representatives from throughout the North Africa region attended this final stop of the continental tour.

In his keynote address, Rev. Doo declared that Africa is the “continent of hope” for the providence, noting that its youth are a precious asset for Heavenly Parent. The service, hosted by Regional Director Rev. Marie Adon Nsimba, concluded with heartfelt cultural performances and gifts for Holy Mother Han and the visiting delegation.

Leadership Roundtable

The tour concluded on February 9 with a strategic meeting involving 23 regional leaders. National leaders from Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Côte d’Ivoire presented reports on membership growth, infrastructure, and witnessing activities.

Rev. Doo offered a powerful closing exhortation:

“Do not be afraid or hesitant. Armed with the highest education and the Blessing of True Parents, you will achieve great success if you take action.”

He urged leaders to utilize the power of Cheon Shim Won and sincere devotion to connect with the spirit world for solutions. The visit ended on a high note of unity and optimism for Africa’s providential future.
