As part of the 2026 African tour, a high-level delegation from the FFWPU World Mission Headquarters, led by General Director Rev. Seung-Yeon Doo, visited Benin from February 3–6, 2026. The visit focused on spiritual renewal, strategic alignment, and empowering the youth.

1. Warm Welcome and Strategic Meetings

The delegation arrived on February 3 and was greeted at the National Headquarters (Peace Embassy) with vibrant Beninese folk music and a prayer at Cheon Shim Won.

The following day, Rev. Doo held strategic sessions with Rev. Georges Ogurie (West Africa Regional Director) and Rev. Steve Sakuwa (Cheonbo West Africa). A highlight was his address to participants of the 40-day spirituality seminar, where he emphasized personal responsibility and deep spiritual alignment with True Mother in this new providential era.

2. National Worship and Leadership Roundtable

  • Leadership Roundtable: National leaders and heads of organizations presented their activities and challenges. Rev. Doo provided guidance centered on unity and absolute faith.
  • Special Wednesday Service: Held at the Godomey Peace Embassy, the service drew over 1,000 members (500 in person and 500 online) from across West Africa. Rev. Doo delivered a moving message on forgiveness and love, urging members to cultivate a “heartistic” bond with True Mother as their biological parent, not just a spiritual figure.

3. Historic Pilgrimage to Ouidah and Youth Assembly

On February 5, the delegation traveled to the historic city of Ouidah, a site central to the Atlantic slave trade. Visiting the “Tree of Return” and the “Point of No Return,” the delegation offered prayers of repentance, symbolically sanctifying and liberating these historical sites.

That evening, Rev. Doo met with the youth, exhorting them to shed old mentalities and recognize themselves as the “Hope of Africa” and primary catalysts for change.

Conclusion and Impact

The visit concluded on February 6 as the delegation departed for Côte d’Ivoire. To mark the occasion, the youth of Benin presented a symbolic gift for True Mother as a token of gratitude.

Key Outcomes:

  • Strategic Alignment: Strengthened the mission’s operational framework in West Africa.
  • Spiritual Renewal: Revitalized the faith of over 1,000 members through the National Service.
  • Historical Healing: Conducted significant liberation prayers in Ouidah.
  • Youth Mobilization: Inspired a new generation of leaders to take ownership of the providence.
