From December 7 to 15, 2025, the 30th Corvina Negra Fishing Condition was held in Punta del Este and José Ignacio, Uruguay. Approximately 13 participants gathered with the goal of deepening their understanding and lived experience of the Oceanic Providence across North and South America—a tradition established to promote the unity of the 33 nations of Latin America.

Honoring a 30-Year Legacy

This event marked the continuation of a deeply significant legacy established and upheld by True Parents in Uruguay for three decades. This tradition has been maintained without exception, serving as a testament to their dedication to the ocean as a spiritual and providential frontier.

An Internal and External Discipline

The young participants gained a clearer perspective on the Oceanic Providence by combining spiritual study with physical practice. The condition included:

  • Hoon Dok Hae: Morning readings to set the internal direction for the day.
  • Practical Training: From collecting bait and aligning fishing rods to the physical process of fishing.
  • Internal Devotion: Experiencing the patience, waiting, and uncertainty that are essential spiritual elements of this condition.

Inheriting the Tradition

The experience was profoundly moving, as it showcased the intergenerational transfer of this mission. While the group was joined by an elder brother with a long history in the Corvina Negra condition, the majority of the participants were youth. This shift revealed a successful inheritance of the legacy, inspiring deep hope that this providential tradition will be further strengthened and passed on by the younger generation.

Through this challenge, the participants reflected on the profound value of the mission, reaffirming their commitment to the unity of the 33 Latin American countries.
