FFWPU East Africa hosted its first-ever Regional Youth Assembly, titled the Heavenly East Africa Pure Water Youth Assembly, under the theme “Flow Together, Grow Together.” The event aimed to unite youth across the region, share national movement updates, and collaboratively discuss strategies and goals for the future.
📍 Venue & Participation
Held from August 2–3, 2025, at the Sasamoto Center in Nairobi, Kenya, the assembly welcomed 106 participants from Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda.
- 58 youth joined on-site at Sasamoto Center
- Others participated remotely from various centers or individually via Zoom
This marked a historic moment—the first regional-level youth assembly—creating a powerful sense of inspiration and unity among attendees.
🎤 Keynote Speakers & Opening

The assembly opened with remarks from Director Lee Chung Woo of the Cheon Mu Won Central Administration. His message uplifted the youth, reminding them that they are “pure water”—a generation called to take responsibility for the glorious future of the movement.
Rev. David Phiri, Regional Director, also delivered a moving address, encouraging youth to be a light in their communities—at home, in school, and at work—as those who know and follow True Parents.

- The National Leader of Uganda
- Youth leaders from participating nations
- HTG missionaries
📊 Presentations & Lectures
Youth leaders from each nation presented updates on recent activities, shared strategies, and outlined upcoming plans. These sessions fostered collaboration and mutual inspiration.
Two main lectures followed:
- “The Value of True Parents in Heaven’s Providence”
- Explored essential teachings of the Cheon Il Guk era
- Emphasized the importance of living by these principles
- “The Role of Youth Centering on Holy Mother Han”
- Empowered youth to take active roles in witnessing
- Highlighted their mission to expand Heavenly Parent’s influence
🤝 Fellowship & Spiritual Experience
After the lectures, participants engaged in sports activities to build unity and camaraderie. A shared dinner followed, leading into a deeply moving Cheon Shim Won night vigil.
The vigil was filled with praise, heartfelt sharing, and a palpable sense of Heavenly Parent’s presence. Youth reflected on how they could better attend Holy Mother Han and concluded with a powerful resonance prayer in deep unison.
🌍 Continental Connection
On the final day, participants joined the Continental Youth Service online, bringing the two-day assembly to a successful and spiritually rich conclusion.
