A 3-Day Youth Workshop, themed “Raising Future Leaders,” took place successfully at the center in Cape Town from July 7 to 10, 2025. The workshops emphasized setting goals, living purposefully, and the value of maintaining sexual purity as a foundation for true peace, love, and happiness. Participants engaged in reflective, educational, and team-building activities designed to deepen their understanding of True Parents’ teachings and foster a stronger sense of community.
The workshop commenced with a discussion where the youth shared their thoughts on who they believe Heavenly Parent is. Following a related story, they reflected on their own parents and the admirable qualities they possess. This exercise facilitated open sharing and created a comfortable atmosphere. It also reminded participants that their physical parents represent the True Parents, encouraging a deeper appreciation for family. Through these discussions, they were introduced to the principle of living for the sake of others, guided by the teachings of the True Parents.
On the second day, a lecture on life’s purpose highlighted the significance of setting goals and planning to achieve them. Participants discussed challenges faced in reaching their goals and, through True Father’s guidance and lectures, received advice on overcoming these obstacles. The session was followed by outdoor activities in a nearby park. Youth participated in team-building games and mental focus exercises, promoting cooperation and problem-solving, and fostering closer bonds. Participants began to see each other as brothers and sisters, strengthening their sense of unity and shared identity.
On the final day, after icebreakers, the youth focused on self-understanding and identifying personal goals. They were encouraged to dream big and take steps toward a meaningful and successful future. A key message was the importance of choice: facing good and bad decisions in life. The youth were reminded of their responsibility to make wise choices, especially as children of the True Parents.
Overall, the workshop provided a nurturing and inspiring environment for youth to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially, while reinforcing the core values of the movement.
