We organized a 3-day educational program for our youth titled “Africa Pure Water Wave: Cheon Il Guk Youth Workshop.” This program took place at our Peace Embassy in Harare, both online and onsite, from 21-23 February 2025.

On the first day, we held an opening ceremony online with 17 youths, while 6 additional participants arrived after midnight due to a car breakdown. The Master of Ceremonies was HyoJeong Rang Cadet Tigere Chorumara, assisted by fellow Cadet Lisa Chiwi. Heavenly Top Gun Africa Missionary Joshua Iyolangomo managed photography and onsite schedule coordination, while Heavenly Top Gun Africa Tariro Gatsi handled finance management, front desk registration, and games. Ten participants hailed from the Dotito HTM Area in Mashonaland Central Province.

Lisa Chiwi, YSP Zimbabwe Vice President, welcomed everyone, ensuring they felt at home and provided an orientation on the program’s agenda, both onsite and online. The youths engaged enthusiastically, inspired by words of encouragement from our leaders, including the National Leader of Zimbabwe, Reverend Callisto Mushati.

Through the lectures, participants gained a clear understanding of the significance of the Cheonshim Won providence and the importance of praying in resonance with the spirit world. We began our Hoon Dok Hae at 7 AM Zimbabwean time to create a spiritual atmosphere for the day. Coordinator Tigere Chorumara emphasized the importance of becoming Pure Water.

We participated in icebreaker games online and engaged in activities onsite. The participants attentively followed the Chambumo Ron lectures, asking insightful questions throughout. We gathered in the Cheonshim Won to dedicate our time to praying for the success of our providential work post-Workshop.

As it was the final day of the Workshop, participants shared their reflections, expressing gratitude and anticipation for the upcoming Regional Family Service. We joined the Regional Family Service, supported by church members who were delighted to see the youth come together in preparation for the future.

After the Sunday service and closing ceremony, we celebrated the 14th birthday of a second-generation son. This joyful occasion brought together all three generations, making it a memorable celebration.

Reflection
Sherlin Kafuridza

The Youth Workshop was impactful through lectures, games, chore routines, and group discussions. I learned the importance of punctuality, kindness, and friendliness. The lectures motivated me to consider becoming a missionary, and my faith as a Seventh Day Adventist church member has been strengthened. Before attending this Workshop, my belief in the second coming of Jesus was weak. My favorite aspects included the lectures, which provided motivation, games that encouraged quick thinking, and group discussions that enhanced our understanding. Chores felt like a form of exercise, fostering cooperation. My additional feedback for the organizers is that everything flowed well—lectures, meals, breaks, and dinner. The organizers effectively maintained peace throughout the event.
