The residents of the Sun Moon Road in the newly named Peace District in Okpoma Yala of Cross River State, Nigeria have testified to the presence of the spirit of True Father in the area and as the reason for the granting of their prayers for a borehole by the government of Nigeria in the area.

Mr. Moses Egbodor Odey with several residents expressed their belief that the naming of the road after Sun Myung Moon has attracted huge attention to the area that was very unpopular before but now fast becoming an area of attraction to many. This was in appreciation of the drilling of a solar-powered borehole along the Sun Moon Road on September 14, 2023, by a team from the federal government of Nigeria.

When the news of the approval of a borehole to be sited in the Olachor community in Okpoma was heard, every area was praying and hoping to be the beneficiary as good drinking water has been a major challenge in Okpoma, headquarters of Yala LGA of Cross River State in Nigeria where we launched our HTM blessing program in 2015 and blessed over 3,000 couples that have now multiplied into the blessing of many couples in Nigeria.

The survey team arrived at Olachor community on September 12, 2023, to identify the area with enough qualitative underground water where the borehole will be sited. The surveyor visited and checked six different areas in the community but could not find good results to approve the drilling of the borehole. He checked two areas at the Christ the King School premises but didn’t get a good result. He went further to Ipuole Olachor and did the survey in two areas without positive results. He was taken to two other areas but got no positive result leading to fears that the approved borehole may be taken to another community.

One of the community leaders and community school head teacher, Mr. Odey Oko with the PDP Ward chairman, Hon. Napoleon Ogar suggested that he should also check around the Sun Moon Road area and when he did, he got a signal from the presence of sufficient underground water for the borehole to be sited in the area. Yet, the Surveyor, Mr. Dele, who is a resident of Benue state but engaged by the borehole drillers for the geological survey was not satisfied with his survey result and decided to stay over the following day to check more areas.

He spent the night in a premises that had the photo of TP in their sitting room. When he arrived home and saw the photo, he said: “I was trying to recall where I knew the couple before but decided not to bother as I was very tired already”, Dele said in the morning.

According to him: “Later in the night, I had an unusual experience and remembered that I knew the couple in the 1990s when I was a university student in Minna, Niger State. I studied the Divine Principle there with four of my friends and we were taken to Lagos for about three weeks workshop on the DP. After returning from the workshop back to the university, the leader of the group that took us to Lagos was transferred out of Minna and we lost contact with the group”.  He further said: “I saw the Father in my dream and he showed me the direction along the road (Sun Moon Road) that I should check to get better water for the community” and when he did so in the morning he got a more positive result that an area along the road will be good with an estimate of about 70 meters depth to drill.

Later in the evening, the drilling team arrived in the area and slept over to begin work early the following day. Usually, boreholes around the Okpoma community usually get water from 90 meters to 110 meters in depth. However, in the process of drilling the borehole, sufficient water was found at 50 – 55 meters depth and everyone was surprised residents said it was the “Sun Moon Miracle” that the project came to the area and water was found after drilling only 50 meters depth, the first time in the community history.

As of today, the drilling of the Federal Government of Nigeria approved solar powered boreholes for residents of Sun Moon Road area in Okpoma Yala, Cross River State has been successfully completed.
