The Peace Road 2023 in Iceland sheds light onto the origins of all life on earth and UPF Iceland wants to remind us of a sustainable and respectful approach towards nature. True Father compared Iceland to a mother’s womb this was not only a naturalistic view but at the same time is in perfect line with scientific understanding:
Once upon a time, the earth was a ball of ice. Volcanoes broke through the ice shield and became life enforcers. The climate change that was triggered has become the origin of our lives today.
Therefore, volcanoes even form the origin of all roads and transport routes. If the earth is the mother, then volcanoes are her womb and the volcano island Iceland is at the forefront, even if this is a geological baby.
On Friday, July 21, 2023, UPF Iceland, Peace ambassadors, and friends made their way on the 15 km-long march to the volcano. It was like traveling back in time. This eruption is the third within a volcanic system since 2021 and the largest! Next door are other systems that have infected each other in the past. One can assume a volcanic age of about 200 years, although there may be interruptions.
