On April 26th, 2023, an Ambassadors for Peace Meeting was held, with the attendance of more than 60 Ambassadors for Peace and 12 Staff.
Mr. Cesar Regalado, Secretary General of the UPF, followed by the opening prayer by the evangelical pastor Juan Mateo Valerio of the Assembly of God Church.
Bernardo Cruz, president of the UPF in the Dominican Republic, gave the welcoming remarks where he highlighted the work of the founders of the UPF Rev. Moon and Dr. Moon. He thanked the ambassadors for peace for their presence and for their work for the development of peace in the Dominican Republic. Moon and Mother Moon are surely proud to have them as UPF peace ambassadors.
Cesar Regalado then gave a brief introduction to the UPF highlighting the values that identify the organization.
The event was embellished by different songs through videos such as a song of peace, one family under God and a new world.
Leonidas Belliard, who also highlighted the values of UPF emphasizing that the ambassadors of peace should receive and promote the sacred blessing of marriage which is the legacy of True Parents. He also spoke of the importance of the world summit to be held now in May.
During the event, three new ambassadors of peace were also appointed, Dr. Soraya Aquino, president of the Christian Socialist Party and presidential candidate for the same, the prominent journalist German Felix and the leader of the driver’s union Esteban.
The event concluded with words of thanks from the ambassadors for peace, a toast and the final photo.
