In time for the observance of the Holy Week, the Pacific Christian Leadership Conference convened the 11th PCLC Online Fellowship on the theme “Beyond the Cross” last March 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM Manila time.

The event gathered 544 overall participants coming from 23 nations across Asia Pacific. Out of this number, 133 joined through Zoom while 244 and 167 attended through Facebook and YouTube, respectively.

Archbishop Elias T. Soria, master of the ceremony started the program by greeting the pastors, leaders, and other participants attending the fellowship. The Fiji Youth calling everyone to worship with their song” Eda Sa Qaqa” (We Have Overcome).

Two main speakers gave a profound explanation of the topic. Dr. Robert S. Kittel, Co-Chairman of the PCLC Executive Committee, took the center stage as first speaker and spoke about the Unification Principle’s perspective on Jesus’ crucifixion. Specifically, he gave a succinct explanation on how the cross itself was not the very end of Jesus’ ministry.  Jesus’ life and mission revolved around the establishment of God’s kingdom which he spoke about several times in the Bible.

According to Rev. Santos, beyond the cross, we discover ourselves in a state of mission that every Christian is ablaze in mission called to live out zealously the call of Jesus to be his followers. The Beatitudes forms the heart of the call beyond the cross which is the ethics or the revealed morality of Jesus. Jesus as the New Moses in the Mount revealed to us the new ethics through the eight beatitudes.

This month’s fellowship was graced with beautiful songs of worships and prayers by Pastors and members who attended online and onsite group watch gatherings across the region.

PCLC is committed to build a coalition of Christian leaders and organizations working together to unify the body of Christ and realize God’s Kingdom.
