The Women`s Federation for World Peace Kenya Chapter celebrated the International Women`s Day with other affiliated organizations and also partners, on March 25, 2023. We had 75 participants.
It was held on Saturday the 25th March at the Sasamoto training Center in Nairobi, Kenya and was attended by Women leaders from various NGOs and community based organization leaders.
The chief guest was Dr Agnes Awour founder of the Hekima Kaka Association, she was joined by the Brahma Kumaris sisters, The Sikh Women Association Leaders, Former members of Parliament, women leaders from religious groups and various leaders of partner NGOs.
The Theme of the event was “Women as the Turning Point of History” and the guests were taught about the Vision and Mission of the Women`s Federation for World Peace, and also the founding Father and Mother of the NGO whose vision is to bring peace in the world through Women taking up their rightful place beside the men and working together in partnership and complementing each other.
The guests appreciated the works of the organization since its founding and many organizations are interested in partnering and working together to impact the society for a happy, harmonious and peaceful world.
The event started with a Meditation session from the Brahma Kumaris sisters and this was followed by speeches. All the speakers gave positive speeches and their messages were all in agreement with the message of our Co- Founder, Mother Moon that the Solutions to the world problems can only be resolved by the Logic of Love.
5 Women Leaders were appointed as Global Women Peace Ambassadors and they promised to work together with the WFWP Kenya to advocate and establish peaceful families, communities and Nation.
Several Women leaders also received their certificates of Life membership.
The Event ended with a prayer for Peace from various Women and Partners who represented their institutions.
