On Sunday, January 8, 2023, the family federation general assembly in Dominican Republic was held at Finca Armonia y Paz with the participation of more than 100 members and friends of the Holy community. The program began with opening remarks by Mr. Hope Gomez, leader of the IAYSP in the Caribbean region, followed by the hymn of the CIG. We offered a Kyombe to God and True Parents and watched the weekly news from Peace TV.
Then we had the words of the Regional Director Mr. Leonidas Belliard FFWPU Director of the Caribbean, enthusiastically greeted all the leaders and members of the Holy Community of the Dominican Republic and emphasized to the leaders to give a good report of the activities carried out in 2022 and that for this 2023 the most important thing is the work plan for the National Blessing Festival. This was followed by the reports of the leaders of each organization (UPF, WFWP, IAYSP, SG, Heavenly Tribal Messianism, Department of Blessed Families, FFWPU Santiago, FFWPU Moca, FFWPU Bayaguana, La voz de la familia radio program). Where they showed each of the activities they carried out during the year and thanked for the support of the members. They showed their objectives and goals for this new year and were determined to make a good family festival for this year 2023.
Mr. Bernardo Cruz, national leader of the Dominican Republic was giving words of motivation for the festival to encouraged the leaders of the different providential institutions to give the best of themselves to lay the foundation for the 2027 vision. He said that we must follow the directions of the True Mother united in spirit and truth and expressed his determination to work hard and be in the front line to achieve the victory of the national festival of blessing 2023.
We then made the offerings and sang the song #31 “All in Unity”. We had lunch together where we all shared more personally. And we had an artistic presentation of the second-generation juniors where they sang a beautiful song for everyone. The general assembly ended with the traditional game of ‘Yut’ where 6 teams participated and there were attractive prizes.
