Dr. Jin Sung-Bae gave his fifth lecture on the theory of the heavenly unified Korea during the fifth Peace Forum which was held on October 15, 2021

1.

2. ★ The last Peace Forum dealt with the North-South conflict in Korea between liberal democracy and Juche socialism, and between idealism and materialism, which are the roots of inter-Korean ideology. This idealism and materialism is a matter of mind versus matter, in other words mind versus body. In fact this spirit-and-substance, the body and the mind, can unite into one through true love. That true love is the heart or shimjeong. As such, the only way to fundamentally resolve the conflict between the two realms can be found in shimjeong and the shimjeong event. Heavenly Unified Korea Theory refers to a God-centered, head-wing reunification movement that aims to fundamentally unite South and North, as well as the left-wing and right-wing, centering on the axis of shimjeong. All problems of the North-South conflict such as historical issues, ideological issues, peace talks, human liberation, and political conflicts within the South can be fundamentally resolved through the central axis of the heart and shimjeong events. Here, the heart-throbbing incident refers to the life of true love and the true love epic of Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han, who have been campaigning for peace throughout their lives. Here, you can hear the only alternative to peaceful reunification between the two Koreas that you cannot hear on any YouTube channel, and in that sense, you are happy people.

★ The Godism of Heavenly Unified Korea is a movement to return to the roots of our nation, the Gyeongcheon ideology (“Revere Heaven”), Hongik ideology (“Benefit Humanity”), and Gwangmyeong ideology (“Shining Nation”) of Gojoseon established by Dangun. The founding ideology of this Heavenly Unified Korea is the ideals of “Love Heaven”, “Love Human”, and “Love Nation.” Only then can the legitimacy of our nation and the universality of the two Koreas be preserved. So this movement should be an ideology that can present the future coordinates of a unified Korea. That is the principle of coexistence, co-prosperity, and co-righteousness—and that is the founding ideology of a new unified Korea. Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity, Universally Shared Values, as it is also known, is a movement to return to the fundamental source of freedom and equality, the ideology of the two Koreas, by revealing the limits of liberal democracy and communism.

★ North Korea is fabricating the history of the nation according to the history of class struggle. The feudal era in which land was robbed and exploited by feudal aristocracy, the Three Kingdoms, Goryeo, and Joseon eras, capitalist society in which workers were exploited by capitalists, finally concluding in a communist society through communist revolution. However, the history of our nation has been the history of overcoming hardships. It was a constant struggle to preserve the destiny of the nation “under Heaven’s wing of protection” in the face of invasions by the Sui dynasty, the Tang dynasty with one million troops, the northern Khitan, Jurchen, Mongolia, and the Japanese imperial invasion from the sea. Nowhere do we find any history of class struggle. Thus, the 38th parallel (DMZ) between the two Koreas is not simply a line of military standoff, but a confrontation line between opposing ideologies of democracy and communism, idealism and materialism, theism and atheism, a line dividing good and evil values. The long story of our nation’s ordeals is not a history of class struggle, but one of struggle over good vs. evil.

3. ★ The important question stands in the center: “Shall we achieve unification by absorption or federal unification?” Over the last couple years there was a series of hopeful events: The Pyeongchang Olympics between North and South Korea, discussions at Singapore and Hanoi between North Korea and the USA, peace and denuclearization talks, etc. In the end all came up empty-handed. Yet, as US Secretary Pompeo said, “We were not even able to take the first step.” On June 16 last year (2020), the North Korean detonation of the Inter-Korean liaison office in the Kaesong Industrial Complex brought all peace talks to naught. The reason is that they had different concepts of peace and denuclearization. The United States wanted the complete dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear weapons, and North Korea demanded the removal of all strategic nuclear weapons from the Korean peninsula and moreover the withdrawal of US forces from Korea. Peace in North Korea, which insists on class revolution and imposition of Juche throughout the Korean peninsula, cannot but be a disguised pacifism; peace for the Moon Jae-in administration is but peace relativism amounting to depending on the mood of Kim Jong-un. The unification of South and North Korea can only be accomplished by authentic peace essentialism. A prime example of such peace essentialism and epic of shimjeong (heart) is the course of life and suffering of the eminent couple, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and President Hak Ja Han, who have dedicated themselves to the peace movement. The story is well described in Kim Jin-myung’s novel The Prophecy. More than a novel, it is written that the peace essentialism movement of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and President Hak Ja Han played a decisive role in bringing the demise of communism. I definitely recommend reading it. According to the contents of this novel, as originally confirmed by the CIA, in November 1987, 25 Red Army guerrillas were dispatched to the US to assassinate President Moon. Gorbachev at the Moscow Press Conference approved 20~30 thousand Soviet youth to be educated in Rev. Moon’s thought in the US. Many of the youths who resisted by lying in front of tanks of the KGB coup d’état in opposition to the reform and the opening of the Soviet Union were among them. The Yeltsin Revolution finally succeeded, and the public is now moved by the dramatic story of Gorbachev, who came to meet the Moon couple and our Church leaders at the Hannam-dong mansion after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The peace movement of Rev. and Mrs. Moon is a peace essentialist movement where they stake their lives to save the enemy. Who brought down communism? There are many factors such as Reaganomics, Thatcherism, Star Wars, etc.; but above all, I believe that it was God who put an end to communism. And at the vanguard was the dauntless couple, Rev. Moon and his wife Dr.  Han, and supporting them was the global peace essentialism movement.

5. ★ What do we call a human? Both the democratic French revolution and the communist Bolshevik revolution took place over the issue of human emancipation. However, both the French democratic revolution, which called for “freedom or death,” and the communist revolution that championed class equality all failed without achieving the original human freedom and equality. Liberal democracy infringed on freedom through abuse of freedom, and communism became the most outrageous system that trampled on human rights. The human liberation of freedom and equality has failed, and it is now urgent that we be aware that human liberation is completed through the liberation of the heart (shimjeong). The bottom line is that freedom and equality can only be achieved centering on shimjeong.

A solution to these fundamental problems of freedom and equality, democracy and socialism can be found in a correct answer to the problem of human liberation. An equitable approach to peaceful reunification of North and South Korea attempts to address three themes. The first is the question, “Who is the subject of the Korean Peninsula?” This is the subject of the ontology of the Heavenly Parent in the ideal of co-righteousness in the Theory of Heavenly Unified Korea. This item critiques the overly transcendental Christian theology, the theory of eternal life in Juche thought, and the principle of Parent-Leader–and presents counterproposals to these. ★ Second, focusing on hyojeong thought, the original meaning of the concept of freedom of liberal democracy and the concept of equality of socialism are investigated. ★ Third, it deals with alternatives to the ideological conflict at the root of South-South conflict in South Korea, and especially the insidious nature of cultural Marxism. Capitalism’s decadent lifestyle and cultural Marxism both spread a distorted culture of two extremes and destroy family ethics, so alternatives are urgently needed. Hyojeong character education and the Absolute Sex movement are suggested as alternatives. Through this counter-contemporary-culture movement, we present the vision of a Heavenly Unified Korea by establishing the right values of the true family and realizing the principle of coexistence, co-prosperity, and co-righteousness centered on the idea of true family.

6. ★ Descartes said, “I think, therefore I exist” because it is unquestionably certain that “I think now.” However, humans not only think, but also feel and desire. It is certain that I am thinking right now, but it is also certain that I feel and desire something. Our classical trinity of reason, emotion, and will constitute only a part of consciousness; our consciousness is pure intentionality that continually flows toward something, day and night. The wellspring of consciousness is the heart, or shimjeong. Our consciousness is a consciousness that constantly desires and flows toward something and is brimming with intentionality and purpose. And the final destination of the flow of the human heart and its intentionality is ‘the ultimate being, God. Our shimjeong (heart) is the source of our ultimate concern for our ultimate being. That is the intentionality of consciousness based on shimjeong, and when the purpose of shimjeong is achieved, one feels joy and happiness. In that sense, man is ultimately a religious being.

7. ★ Next, we will consider the South-South conflict and religious unification centered on Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community, and examine the possibility of a New 3.1 Movement by the force of conscience. On May 8, 2020, President Hak-ja Han proclaimed Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community. The Holy Community of Heavenly Parent has the purpose of realizing the ideal world of one extended family of all humankind under one God. In other words, under the big umbrella of Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community, the world religions will become one, and all organizations such as politicians, academics, journalists, religious people, business people, and artists will come together to realize the ideal world. God is the True Parent of mankind, and that God is one God. That God is not the God of a specific religion or doctrine, but the ultimate cause and ultimate reality that has been directing through the conscience of mankind. And He is the central point that can unite all mankind, transcending national borders, races, and religions. And, since God is one, we come to the conclusion that there is one religion. Some religions claim a personal God, others claim impersonal truths, but the ultimate reality that all religions seek is one, and that One is God. This is because the starting point of all religions is from one God. In this way, the purpose of religion is for all mankind to become one family, brothers and sisters, under one God. So religion is one.

8. ★”After the blind men had felt and tried to identify each part of the elephant, the king had them describe what an elephant was. The blind man who traced the elephant’s head said it was just a jar; the blind man who has felt the ear said it was a big fan; the blind man who has handled the tusk thought it was a plow blade; each one answered likewise. The blind people each said, “This is what an elephant is like…”; but they all disagreed and started arguing, “No, you’re wrong!” Finally they were punching and fighting with one another.”

★ The sun of truth shines brightly once the veneer of religious doctrine is peeled away and the cloud of hatred is dispelled.

★ It is certain that the peoples of the world, regardless of race or religion, were inspired by one heavenly source and that they are all the people of one God. The differences in the ordinances they follow and observe are due to the diverse needs and challenges of the age in which they were revealed. All commandments, except those that are the result of man’s stubbornness, were ordained by a God and are a reflection of His will and purpose. (from the La Collection of La’s writings 111, Bahaullah, of the Bahai faith)

★ I have also other sheep that are not of this fold, and I must lead them; they too will hear my voice and become one flock with one shepherd. (John 10:16)

★ The gods whom the various religions worship have many names and different expressions, but the central being worshiped in each religion is believed to be attributed to one god. (Sermon collection of the FFWPU, 140.11, 1986.02.01)

9. ★ Hyojeong is the ideology that ultimately liberates human beings as religious beings. It presents a concrete human relationship ethic that empathizes with God’s love in the religious conscience and loves brothers widely. There is vertical hyojeong of loving God and horizontal hyojeong of loving neighbors. Vertical hyojeong liberates the heart of God, and horizontal hyojeong liberates human relationships. Since human relations are ethically formed by the universal principle of conscience, horizontal hyojeong is also the principle of liberation of conscience. In this way, when the vertical human relationships of upper and lower and the horizontal human relationships of left and right are restored to human relationships centered on shimjeong, the ultimate human liberation can be achieved. The Bible says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself!” This is the very philosophy of hyojeong. ★ A typical example of filial piety can be found in the victory of Jacob in his human relationship; Jacob received the title of Israel from Yahweh. Israel means victor. The idea of hyojeong can be clearly exemplified and verified through Jacob’s victory in the human realm. Jacob’s victory over humanity is human liberation by applying the hyojeong principle.

10. ★ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:28)

* In whatever way you would like others to treat you, do also to them. (Matthew 7:12, Christianity)

* They must not kill a living life, keeping in mind that they are like me and I am like them. Also, do not let other people kill you. (Suttanipatha 705, Buddhism)

* A person who tries to stab a young bird with a pointed stick must first feel how painful it is by stabbing himself. (African traditional religion)

* Do not do to others what is not pleasing to you; this is the foundation of all morality. Be aware that all other actions are nothing more than acts of selfishness. (Mahabharata Anusasana Parva 113.8, Hinduism)

★ Albert Schweitzer was born as the son of a pastor and was weak from birth, but overcame it. He became a doctor of philosophy at the age of 24, a doctor of theology at the age of 25, and a full professor of the theology department. One day, he happened to see the stone statue of an African, and he thought of an African who died without going to the hospital. Schweitzer, who had nothing to envy, studied medicine at the age of 30, became a doctor and left for Africa. For over 60 years of sacrifice and service, he cared for the sick and the poor, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952. At the award ceremony he testified, “The only thing I know is that those who really want to be happy are those who have found the way to serve others through sacrificial service.”

★ Harvard Theory of Happiness: “Graduate and salary are not correlated. People who are considerate, kind, and have relationship skills and morality receive high salaries.”

The secret to happiness comes from making others feel happy. (∵ God of conscience, God of heart)

11. ★ What is a human? Both the democratic French revolution and the communist Bolshevik revolution took place centered on the issue of human emancipation. However, both the French democratic revolution, which called for “freedom or death,” and the communist revolution that claimed class equality all failed without achieving the original human freedom and equality. Liberal democracy infringed on freedom through abuse of freedom, and communism became the most unequal system that trampled on human rights. The human liberation of freedom and equality both failed, and it is now necessary to know that true human liberation is completed through the liberation of the heart, or shimjeong. The fact is, freedom and equality can only be achieved through shimjeong. This is the hyojeong thought.

★ Hyojeong thought is the only ideology and alternative thought system that can overcome not only personal ethics but also democracy and socialism. Hyojeong is a combination of two Korean concepts—vertical filial piety and horizontal affection (jeong), and is a new term and concept introduced by President Han. Dr. Han presented hyojeong thought as a fundamental answer to the question of human liberation.

12. ★Schindler is famous through the movie about him, Schindler’s List. The actual list was found in a trunk in a German attic bag in 1999, containing a list of Jewish survivors, letters of appreciation, and records of bribes to the Gestapo. Schindler was a corrupt entrepreneur but at the same time a righteous hero! Nazi Germany had invaded and occupied Poland in 1939. For the purpose of making a profit, Schindler went to Poland and built a munitions and ceramics factory. He recruited Jewish prisoners from Auschwitz concentration camp to work in his factory, and eventually saved over one thousand otherwise condemned Jewish people. Seeing Jews being executed in Auschwitz, his conscience was aroused, and he cleverly used his privileges and cunning to divert children, women, and university students as skilled metalsmiths, secretly protecting them by sending them back to the factory he had built in his hometown. He thus spirited away about 1,200 Jews, saving their lives, and the Jews whose lives he spared came to be known as “Schindler’s Jews.” As much as he had to bribe the infamous Gestapo, he grilled it with a huge bribe of millions of marks. Later he lamented in tears that, after consuming his entire fortune, he could have saved ten more lives if he had sold his car and two more by selling his wedding ring. He died in 1974, and his tomb is located on Mount Zion, a holy place for Jews. Oskar Schindler is the only Nazi buried there.

13.

14. ★The March 1st Independence Movement was the first national movement launched by the Korean people, and transcended class, class, ideology and religion. The movement kindled the Korean peninsula attracting voluntary, wholehearted participation of the entire nation, even without systematic leadership. There was no possibility of autonomous independence in the face of armed rule under imperialism. Nevertheless, the Japanese imperialists indiscriminately decimated them with guns and swords, while the Korean citizens peacefully stood up to them imitating Gandhi’s non-resistant pacifism! One eyewitness testified, “Moon Yong-gi was raising the Korean flag in his left hand chanting hurray, but lost his left arm to a private’s bayonet, and his right arm was cut off while holding the Taegeukgi in his right hand. Police officers sexually assaulted a school girl all night, drove congregation members into their church and burned it down with them inside. Despite such atrocities, the demonstration for national independence spread like wildfire, from Seoul to Manchuria, Vladivostok, and as far away as America! It was a miraculous, benevolent-spirited revolutionary movement that is difficult to imagine today. ★ Who was the goddess of fate who led this miracle? The Declaration of Independence written by Choi Nam-seon was signed and sealed by 16 Cheondogyo members including Son Byeong-hee, a leader of Cheondoism, 15 Christians including Lee Seung-hoon, founder of Osan School in Jeongju, 2 Buddhists including Han Yong-un, and a total of 33 national and religious representatives. The Samil Movement, which started as a “political movement,” did not succeed, leaving only religion and long-enduring Messianism as a spiritual movement. Christianity in the Pyeongan-do province, which led this movement, had a temporal view of faith to achieve independence through religious power. Cheondogyo was in charge of financing the organization and made the greatest contribution to the Independence Movement. The founder of Cheondoism, Choi Je-woo, believed in Haneul-nim, a personal god living with a transcendent yet immanent human. The theology of Heavenly Unified Korea is a new interpretation and completion of the Christian Messianism that led the Samil (3.1) Movement and the Sicheonju ideology of Cheondoism. The ideology of One God and One Religion of Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community is a valid proposition both at the time of the Samil Movement and now in the era of Heavenly Unified Korea. ★ The ultimate and most relevant subject in human affairs is the question of God. Marx proposed “self-moving matter” instead of the “self-moving spirit” of the Christian God. Based on that atheistic view of God, he attacks religion as the opiate of the masses and advocates militant atheism. North Korea’s Juche thought presents Kim Il-sung as the destined savior and the bestower of eternal life. In the terrifying reality that God is dead, the people who cry out that God is our Parents are on the side of conscience. More frightening than the denuclearization issue is the problem of hidden ideology, and overall the issue of ideology and thought systems. Over this issue there is a battle left to fight for our very survival. Will it be Juche or Universally Shared Values? The subject of the Korean peninsula is not Kim Il-sung, but God, the Parent of humankind. On the Korean peninsula, Kim Il-sung is a false subject and a fabricated god. Co-righteousness accuses Kim Il-sung as a false subject, and denounces Juche thought so that it can no longer be promulgated on earth.

15. The Korean Declaration of Independence reads: “Today, when 20 million people all bear sharp swords in our hearts, the common values of mankind and the conscience of the times become the army of justice, and humanity and morality as weapons to protect us… What grand vistas cannot open up now! As the solemn command of conscience, we carve out a new destiny for our nation, and never envy or reject others with old grudges and transient sentiments. Conscience is with us, and truth is advancing with us, so that men and women, young and old, will come out of their gloomy old hovels and bring about a joyful resurrection with all that exists in the world.” So it reads. As such, the March 1st Movement was a true liberation of the conscience and a revolutionary movement of conscience. The March 1st Movement, which started as a political liberation movement, morphed into a nonviolent independence movement and a world peace movement to awaken the conscience of mankind. Heavenly Parents Holy Community in the Heavenly Unified Korea is also a movement for liberation of conscience and revolution of conscience. In the end is it the conscience of the people of Joseon or brutal Japanese Imperialism that will take the field? Who is on the side of the conscience, and who stands on the opposing side? In the confrontation on the Korean peninsula between freedom and equality, democracy and communism, who is on the side of conscience and who is on the other side? That is the problem. ★ Universally Shared Values, or co-righteousness centered on God, is an ethical ideal that affirms Conscience as its universal principle. My conscience is the divine subject different from me deep in my heart, and it is the judge of the inner court. Therefore conscience is my subject, and it is only through conscience that I can exist. As such, my conscience is my subject, and God who is present in my conscience is the Subject among subjects. God is the True Parent of mankind who delivers the ‘command of the heart’ through conscience. And living according to conscience precedes hyojeong to physical parents, and hyojeong toward our Heavenly Parent is the highest form of hyojeong to our physical parents.

16. ★ The question of the ultimate and most realistic subject in human affairs is where God comes in. The conventional Christian view defines God as an image, i.e. a spiritual reality, and defines God as the transcendent, absolute Other, the self-existent Being who transcends the material world where evil resides. Hegel’s Absolute Spirit is the philosophical interpretation of this Christian spiritual view, and Marx’s dialectical materialism has overturned it.

★ Marx proposed “self-moving matter” instead of “self-moving spirit”, the Christian God. With that atheistic theology, he attacks religion as an opiate and promotes militant atheism. In the philosophical principle of Juche ideology, the human-centered view that man is the master of everything is fabricated as the social historical principle, whereby the masses of the people are portrayed as the subject of historical development. From a social scientific point of view, the Juche ideology is far more religious than Stalinism or Maoism, and has risen to the ranks of the world’s top ten religions with 20 million followers. North Korea’s Juche ideology presents Kim Il-sung as the destined savior, the savior of the nation, and the bestower of eternal life. Now the Father-Leader Kim Il-sung has become God in North Korea.

★ The Bible clearly defines the image of God by pegging it to the image of Adam and Eve. The intangible God manifested in the form of tangible Adam and Eve. God is the God who is the True Parent of humankind. If we interpret the image of God as “spirit” as in traditional Christianity, we greatly misrepresent the meaning of the Bible. ★ In the terrifying specter that God is dead, the people who cry out that God is our Parent are on the side of Conscience. More frightening than the denuclearization issue is the issue of hidden agenda, the issue of ideology and thought systems. We have yet before us a battle to the finish over this issue. So is Juche ideology or co-righteousness going to win out? The subject of the Korean Peninsula is not Kim Il-sung, but God, the Parent of mankind. On the Korean peninsula, Kim Il-sung is a false subject and a fabricated god. Co-righteousness finds Kim Il-sung wanting as a false subject, and denounces the Juche idea so that it can no longer be issued on earth. In that sense, the declaration of Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han during an interview with Kim Il-sung at the President’s Mansion in Hamheung on December 6, 1991, “If you do not abandon the Juche idea, North Korea will perish. You must accept Godism!” was a historic event that brought the mace down on Kim Il-sungism.

17. ★ In the 1940s the nationalist movement in Korea was divided when it encountered the ideological confrontation between left and right. Namely, the right sought the origin of Korean nationalism in the historical tradition, while the left intended to deal with nationalism incidentally by absorbing the national issues into the theory of class struggle. In the end, the division of North and South Korea led to disputes over national legitimacy. In the 1960s, North Korea criticized the Marxist concept of a nation that emphasized the commonality of language, territory, economic life, and psychological state, and has a deep connection with the establishment of the Democratic Federal Republic of Korea proposed at the 6th Party Congress in 1980. After that, North Korea switched to a federal system based on one nation, one country, two systems, and two governments, and expanded the principle of independence in Juche ideology to the national level while placing national independence in the fore. The name is given because it insists on “Nation First” as a superior nation of the North Korean “people” who submit to the leadership of the Leader. North Korea’s nationalism is not universal nationalism, but people’s nationalism with partisan class characteristics, and Juche nationalism guided by the Leader.

★ About 1918, US President Wilson advocated national self-determination, and the theory of self-determination and national liberation became the basic ideology of the March 1st Movement. A provisional government was established as a result of the March 1st Movement, and “Korea became a democratic republic. Korean nationalism has the character of an anti-government movement, including the struggle against the Korea-Japan Agreement in the 1960s and the national democracy movement of the 1970s and 1980s. On the other hand, Jang Jun-ha’s “Nationalist Path”, which presented “one nation” as the logical basis for unification, expressed the logic of national sensibility, but was criticized as “fantastic logic” in view of the confrontation between the two Koreas. Though Korean nationalism has shown various aspects, it is strongly characterized by ethnic nationalism emphasizing lineage, language, culture and custom. The concept of tribal nationalism represents the whole nation, embracing both the ruling class such as the king or feudal lord, and the subject class, namely the people. The era of nationalism in one country and the era of exclusive and isolated nationalism in the global era is long gone. Moreover, people’s nationalism based on partisanship leads to exclusivity and isolation. Nationalism needs to be interpreted more openly and inclusively. ★ This can only be overcome by open nationalism that has established national identity based on Godism and a universal foundation between the two Koreas.

18. ★ Although the Korean Peninsula is the most beautiful and important location on the planet, the history of the Korean people has been a history of hardships and ordeals. Behind this history of suffering, there must be the providence of Heaven that has protected the Korean people. It is because the people of the Tao have not invaded other countries even though they have received 931 uninvited visits during their five-thousand-year history and have had the wherewithal to rule even the Central and Woncheonji regions of Manchuria. There are good reasons for that. ★ The origin of nationalism is Dangun’s Gyeongcheon ideology. Choi Je-woo, who started the Donghak Movement, advocated the ideology of Sicheonju (侍天主) based on the ideology of Gyeongcheon. The God of heaven, which the Korean people have revered and believed in, is the God of the Trinity, in which the trinity of the Hanin (桓因), Han Woong (桓雄), and Hangeom (桓儉), are united. “Hwan” or “Han” is the main body of the three-in-one (Trinity) theology of God. Many ancient names of the Korean people, “Baedal Minjok”, “Hankyoreh”, and “Han” people mean “bright” without darkness and sin. ★ The elements in “one” (一) and “three” (三) are also included in this “han”. This is called the Trinity (“sam-iy-il-che”), or Trinity Principle (“sam-il-wolli”), with “han” as its origin. The first meaning is “human” (因, the originally created father and mother of mankind). The second aspect is “woong” (雄, “male goodness”; 敎化 “teaching”). The third figure is “sword” (儉, “simple”, “frugal”; 治化, “caring for the people”, “leader”). It refers to the Three Great Subjects Thought in which parents, teachers, and owners or masters become one. ★ These three outline the history of coming from “han”, which is the one Origin, living according to the will of “han”, and finally returning to the original position of “han”. This Dangun’s Gyeongcheon (“Resplendent Nation”) Thought, that is, in one thought, was presented as the pillar for realizing the ideal world of Gyeongcheon: Aemin (Love the People), Ewha World (World of Differentiation), and Unity of the Kingdom and Religion. The ideal world of freedom, equality and peace will be realized in a bright world where the one and the whole, the whole and the one are all together, and the morning sun shines brightly.

★In April 1929, the Indian poet Tagore received the first Nobel Prize for Literature as an Asian. In his famous poem he extolled Korea as the “Lamp of the East.” Harvey Cox, a prominent American theologian, has argued that the solution to our problems must be found by a “return to the East.” He said, “The oriental view of the cosmos and the world will overcome the limitations of the Western mind, and resolve the conflicts and confrontations between the of the left and the right.” In the ’88 Seoul Olympics, people around the world became one and achieved a dialogue like in the lyrics of the Seoul Olympics song, “Hand in hand, cross the wall.” Although it is called a left-right ideological struggle, from the point of view of the history of civilization, it is the result of the confrontation and conflict between Hellenism, a human-centered ideology, and Hebraism, a god-centered ideology. Thus the key to reunification of the Korean peninsula must be found in the new zeitgeist, that is, a third ideology connecting the spiritual veins of Confucianism (儒), Buddhism (Buddha), and Zen (仙) in the East and encompassing the ideologies of left and right.

19. ★Cultural Marxism accepts Marx’s historical materialism as it is without modification, exposing cultural domination and exploitation by capitalists in the superstructure. Just as God rules humans through religion even though God does not exist, all forms of capitalism’s ideas such as law, morals, religion, politics, and culture oppress and exploit the working class. Capitalism deceives and extorts the labor and creative power of workers with the subtle and overwhelming influence of the culture.

★ In the end, cultural Marxism reached its climax in Marcuse’s Eros Revolution. The Freudian leftist Marcuse’s Eros Revolution emphasizes destroying the innate value of sex and liberating the Freudian sexual instincts. Cultural Marxism has planted its roots deeply in the Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Act, the Basic Act on Family Policy, and the Amendment to the Basic Act on Healthy Families recently promoted by some political circles, and we cannot help but be concerned about that. ★ The Absolute Sex movement is a movement that represents co-righteousness (Universally Shared Values) centered on God. In fact, even more, sexual purity is the very standard for the ideal of co-righteousness (Universally Shared Values) centered on God. Namely, the ultimate truth is that life, sex, and lineage are one. In that the image of God is eventually realized in a family where a married couple becomes one, there is nothing more important than understanding sexuality and correcting one’s character. The Absolute Sex revolution is the only way to correct the family and sexual culture undermined by the influence of neo-Marxism.

22. Capitalism is a society dominated by capital, in which capital becomes money for individual human beings, and through money, they relate to the world and the its people, who become merely pawns and knights to bet on. It is nothing but a huge Monopoly game based on personal greed, where the players place their bets and risk their private investments! ★ Money makes money. In capitalism, for example, if you make a lot of money by betting on real estate, etc., the person who does not bet becomes relatively poor and ends up penniless. This is the logic of capital, and, whether industrial, commercial or financial capital the logic of capital itself is all the same thing. ★ Capitalism, dominated by capital, is a world of fetishism, a world of mammonism, in which capital is universal and has become a god with omnipotent power surpassing even that of gold. In addition to neoliberalism, the individuals who are the subject of the desires of capitalism are living beings who live “the struggle of all against all”: this is the logic of capitalism. ★ Socialism, be it European socialism based on capitalism or socialism in China and North Korea that advocated communism, puts the whole focus on the values of the democratic individual, yet paradoxically the human rights of individuals are ignored because of the imaginary whole that supposedly is the sum of individuals, does not exist. Whereas, socialism is a system in which money, idolized in capitalism, is translated into material itself, so that the scenario in the movie Squid Game is inevitably a realistic phenomenon. The reality of life, whether it be the individual struggle of capitalism or the class struggle of socialism, is the fate of modern people, whether they become winners or losers with capital (money) or with material! The imaginative geniuses who denounced modern society, tremble at what you have wrought!

24. ★ Capitalism is an economic system based on private property and the means of production are owned by individuals. According to the principle of free competition, everyone is guaranteed freedom of economic activity in order to earn a lot of profit. However, since the goal is to obtain more profits through unlimited competition, various side effects are also appearing. The more fundamental problem of capitalism is the polarization of wealth between the rich and the poor, because the rate of return on capital overwhelms the labor wage and growth rate. As the saying goes, “Money breeds money”; that drives the centralization of capital. However, it is difficult for those who have capital to use it to make more profits, and those who do not have capital can only sell their own labor and earn a large income. In the end, owing to their desires, individual capitalists possessed with ambition reach a state of being enslaved by huge capital. At the end of “The Squid Game” only the desire of each individual to bet with a horse and a pawn remains. ★Furthermore, regardless of whether it is industrial capital, commercial capital, or financial capital, capital follows only its own profit-seeking logic and has no interest in individual humans. During the IMF crisis, the economic sovereignty of the Han country was shaken by the tyranny of huge financial capital, many companies went bankrupt, and people were driven to the streets. Gradually, the capitalist society passes its phase of golden omnipotence and morphs into a society where fetishism and mammonism prevail.

★ The same goes for socialism. Socialism aims to ensure that the means of production are owned by the state, and the state equally distributes the wealth generated through the means of production. However, the entity as a whole or the state as the owner is abstract, and capital is transformed from fetishism to materialism, causing more struggles and conflicts between classes than in capitalist society. Instead of the fetishism of capitalism, what is emerging in socialism is the power of materialism, totalitarian power. It was the proletarian revolution that incited hatred at the fact that the value of labor created by workers was seized by capitalists and the proletariat determined that they should retake it. Since labor and property were separated, the property that was confiscated by capitalists must be reclaimed. So the state became the subject of ownership, and finally the state became the embodiment of power and ruled the people. That is the one-party dictatorship of socialism and its concentration of power. ★ The ideal of coexistence (or Interdependence) is the only way to resolve the contradiction between capitalism and socialism. This is because the only model that can achieve both the individual purpose and the overall purpose centered on the issue of the ownership is the family.

25. ★ Co-ownership under Interdependence is the key to solving the problem of freedom in capitalism stemming from individual desires. This is because the three owners who share the refrigerator enjoy the freedom of ownership by sharing that entitlement. In liberal democracy, freedom was rather lost through abuse and indulgence, and the excellent solution to that problem is common ownership under the ideal of Interdependence. Co-existence (Interdependence) is indeed the key to fundamentally solving the freedom of liberal democracy.

★ In coexistence (Interdependence centered on God), proper ownership refers to the amount of psychological satisfaction of an individual according to the effect-value theory. The amount of possession is determined by proper possession based on conscience. The question of proper ownership raised here is the key to solving the problem of socialist equality. The reason that socialism, which insisted on equality as the highest value, became the most unequal society was due to the failure of an essential understanding of the issue of equality. What we term “equality”, in the original ideal sense, is equality as an object value before God. Equality includes equality of love, equality of character, equality of liberty, and equality of satisfaction. The egalitarian distribution of communism and consequent equality are fictitious and false. To replace this, we have the “effect-value theory” in the ideal of Interdependence. ★ Interdependence with God at the center is the only alternative that can resolve the abuse of freedom problem under capitalism and the unattainable equality problem under socialism. The theory of Interdependence, centering on shimjeong (heart), can be the key to fundamentally solving the problems of labor and property.

28. ★ In regard to the peaceful reunification of North and South Korea based on co-prosperity (Mutual Prosperity), I will address three themes. First, addressing the question “What is peace?” we discuss peace relativism and disguised pacifism between South and North, and peace essentialism in Heavenly Unified Korea. Second, “open nationalism” is introduced as an alternative to the nationalism of South and North Korea. Third, in regard to the All-Korea General Election, South Korea’s unification plan, North Korea’s federal unification plan, and alternatives will be examined.

29. ★Unification by absorption or federal reunification? There were warm hopes for unification, with North and South cooperation at Pyeongchang, meetings at Singapore and Hanoi, and the denuclearization peace talks. But then came the North’s bombing of the Inter-Korean Liaison Office at the Kaesong Industrial Complex on June 16, 2020, ending all negotiations in vain. As US Secretary of State Pompeo said, “It ended without taking the first step.” It was all because they had different concepts of peace and denuclearization. The United States expected the complete abolition of North Korea’s nuclear weapons, and North Korea demanded the removal of strategic nuclear weapons from the Korean peninsula and the withdrawal of US forces from Korea. Peace in North Korea, which insists on class revolution, cannot but be peace under the guise of pacifism, and peace for the South Korean Moon Jae-in administration is inevitably a relativistic peace that rests on Kim Jong-un’s heart. The unification of South and North Korea can only be achieved through genuine peace essentialism. We have a prime example of an episode of heart exemplifying peace essentialism. The story is well described in Kim Jin-myung’s novel The Prophecy. This is not just a novel; it is written that the peace essentialism movement of Rev. Moon Sun-myung and Dr. Han Hak-ja played a decisive role in the demise of communism. I highly recommend reading it. According to the contents of this novel, originally confirmed by the American CIA, in November 1987, 25 Red Army partisans were dispatched to the US on orders of Mikhail Gorbachev to assassinate President Moon. Following the 1990 Moscow Press Conference, President Gorbachev dispatched 2~3 thousand Soviet youth to the USA for education in Rev. Moon’s teachings. It is a dramatic epic of victory through education. On August 19-21, 1991 the Yeltsin revolution took place, led by Soviet youths who resisted the hardliner coup d’état by lying down in front of Soviet tanks. The tale concludes in a dramatic meeting as brothers with Mikhail Gorbachev at the Moon family’s Hannam-dong residence after the dismantling of the federal system of the USSR. So who put an end to communism? There are many factors, but above all, I believe that God destroyed communism. At the vanguard was the President Moon couple, and behind them was the valiant global peace essentialism movement.
