Father’s Prayer
Beloved Father, it is March 29, in the sixth year of Cheon Il Guk, the day to celebrate and observe the forty-seventh True Parents’ Day.
We stand under the watchful gaze of heaven and earth and the entire universe with the responsibility, which was given to us in this age, of settling all accounts and of offering heaven and earth centering on the Parents of Heaven and Earth. The era before the coming of heaven and the time after the coming of heaven have been divided; now in the time after the coming of heaven You have allowed us to enter an age of liberation and complete freedom, in which the history of bloodshed and war from the age of Cain can be replaced by the heavenly age of Abel. The efforts and endeavors You have made for this to happen, included the sending until now of countless religious leaders to carry on the mission of our ancestors, who lived on earth in the course of history. You have revealed this foundation and sent the Savior, Messiah, Second Coming and True Parent at the appropriate time. The inexorable responsibility of heaven, which determines the completion of the original objectives of the Creation, and the inexorable responsibility of the earth have been brought together as one and brought into fulfillment through the cosmic Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. On the foundation of that victorious authority, we have advanced to a realm of absolute liberation and complete freedom, centered on the dominion of love, and have entered a period where we can welcome the liberation of the original hometown and ideal homeland, in which we are completely free to serve the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.
The age may pass, but the people born as fallen descendants on earth remain in their bodies in their world day and night through time and tide. They believe that what they can do in that position of suffering is determined by fate and destiny, but they live in ignorance, not knowing front from back, left from right or the four directions. They are Your sons and daughters, whom You were supposed to love; they were to stand as lords in Your stead in Your family, Your nation and Your world; furthermore, they were to fulfill the way of a child of filial piety, a patriot, saint and divine son or daughter and were to become lords by inheriting the great works of heaven. They were to become lords as God’s representatives but could not fulfill the way of God’s son, grandson, patriot, saint and the family of the divine child. You have laid down all the historical currents and a series of collective responsibilities upon which the providential victory has been manifested on the earth with the coming of True Parents. They have achieved mind–body unity on the individual level, unity between husband and wife and the unity of their children. Your desire for the fulfillment of Your solemn and noble will for the objectives You had at the time of the Creation has been shrouded in the mists of sorrow and the sun of Your freedom and love has been hidden behind clouds. To allow that sun to shine on earth, the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind have gone through indescribable hardships to write the history of re-creation with humanity, going beyond the crucial moments of the individual, family, tribe, people, nation, world and cosmos. The name of the Parents of Heaven and Earth will be embraced once again within the victorious realm of grace. You could not love humanity—not a single person could You love as a being of Your own lineage based on a liberated foundation from the period in the womb, to childhood, the time of youth, young adulthood, middle age, old age and on to the heavenly world. In order to restore all this through indemnity, the history of struggle between Cain and Abel continued until You sent True Parents to earth. This history began with the elder brother causing bloodshed and has continued until now. The world is the manifestation of the fruit of the history of the blood shed in Adam’s family, which broke into two enemy groups comprising the communist world, which had absolutely denied Heaven and which is capable of violating the authority of heavenly life, and the democratic world. When we view the world, we can see how great was the extent of the hurt that was inflicted on the parental heart of God, who was to exist throughout space and time on the foundation of children of filial piety, patriots, saints and the family of His children; knowing this, we should work to heal and liberate His heart and pain. To this end, You have protected us and raised us from the time when we were immature and ignorant. We know of such hardships You have gone through as well as the grace You have given us as a balm in fear that we would collapse along the course of indemnity. When we think about this, at this liberating time of transition, and the more we decipher the past, the unfinished, incomplete history, I worry that the responsibility that should be fulfilled and that is left undone on earth might end up entering the spirit world, where this education must be spurred on. Father, knowing my concern, I pray that You remember this day.
We are celebrating is the forty-seventh Parents’ Day, meaning we are moving into the forty-eighth year. Forty-eight is a product of twelve times four. Based on this number, may all accounts be settled, so that people may be born from God’s womb as His son or daughter and pass through the age of youth, adolescence and middle age to reach the position of parents that can raise children after forming a family. In that position, let them experience God’s heart as they welcome God to their families, so that God may love their families, in which they all exhibit the heart of a devoted child, the heart of a patriot and the heart of a saint and divine child, and so that God’s sorrow at not having acquired a bride can be alleviated. True Parents’ wish for this can finally be brought to ultimate fulfillment, ushering in an age of protection and bringing a conclusion to this task of liberation. By raising our children, blessed sons and daughters, to become fair and pure-minded, these children may stand as the unfallen, original children, which God can personally accept. The justifications to be these children that are Your flesh and blood, constituting Your lineage, requires that indemnity not be carried on through the lineage, love and life. We who shoulder this solemn task and yet who are in complete ignorance should understand this and open our eyes. If we do not know what circumstances the things of the world go through on the providential course, we know that, grief-ridden, we cannot even begin to take a single step.
If one lamb is lost among a hundred, [a pastor] would leave behind the rest in order to find that single lost lamb. There is not one lamb in the world, because the whole flock of humanity is like that lost sheep. Those who appeared on earth as the lamb in heaven’s embrace are the ancestors of religious people. Among them Jesus came—not as the Lord at his Second Advent but as the first advent of the Savior and Messiah. Yet, he left with the bitter sorrow associated with the cross. Who could have ever understood the heart of Jesus or the hearts of the Parents, who came again on this sorrowful path as the Lord at his Second Advent? The religious leaders of the past were sacrificed for the sake of restoration in this bitterly sorrowful history. Those in the religious realm, who were ignorant and those in the political realm of all the nations persecuted the religious leaders, reenacting Cain’s killing of Abel. Responsibility for all the blood that was shed because of politics and by these nations I am shouldering on behalf of the Old Testament Age and on behalf of the Completed Testament Age—the age of fulfillment. Furthermore he has become the flag-bearer of our Pledge, thereby enabling humanity to become the children of the direct lineage. In order to reach that position, humanity began from the position of the servant of servants, moved on to the position of adopted children, to the position of the children by a concubine and to the children of the direct lineage. These children should put an end to the bloodshed between brothers and instead become like brothers born as twins bound by brotherly love. They should take care of the Parents, who are lamenting the Fall, saying that they will take responsibility for the mother’s mistakes. They should unite as one with the Mother and serve the Parents that are to come, so that the Lord may come to their family, which could not serve the Lord. He will teach them everything, including where the parents and children should be going and he will bind them together. The True Parents will straighten out the situation for indemnifying God’s having had to follow behind humanity. The time has come now to go beyond this critical point in history.
After the Fall, the mother’s lamentation was great. How miserable is the lot of women on earth who do not know how devastated with regret the mother’s heart was when Cain killed Abel and blood was shed!
On this day, let them become delegates of the mother, representing the Korean women or the mother of the children who can inherit everything from the mother. Let them become owners of the love of their sons and daughters. Let them realize that the owner of their children’s lineage was lost and realize that their most important and heavy responsibility, mission and calling is to liberate Heaven. To fulfill and complete their responsibility, the representative wives who are here today will be drawn in to bring together everything that can be bound above and below, front and back, left and right of the police and army, Cain and Abel, on behalf of the Parents. A serious time now awaits us on this Parents’ Day, through which all this must be straightened out and brought into order. Father, please find significance in this day, Parents’ Day is not just another day that is passing by.
As we stand before the Father, to whom we gave the bitter sorrow of the Fall, we are now at the final point of transition, crossing the critical point in liberating and completing restoration through indemnity. At such a crucial time, we have brought together all our strength to commemorate this day, which You have allowed us to have. I know that this gathering is insufficient in many respects, but I sincerely and earnestly pray that You listen to the prayer and request I offer to You, Father, from a heart that is burning with devotion.
Father, this occasion today is to keep the bitter sorrow under control. I have gathered the leaders of our movement this morning to deliver this warning to them. Who could imagine that the path God had to take would be this miserable? While the world remains ignorant of this, You have found us and though You turn Your head to quietly weep, You call to us and tell us that You were forced to wipe away Your tears at seeing us. I understand Your situation and that You must push and pull us toward the path of indemnity that we must walk with You. You have taken responsibility to warn us of the tribulation that we are to face. That is Your grace, such forgiveness that melts away our bone and marrow. Please remember this occasion, in which we stand in shame for not having emulated that kind of bearing. I earnestly pray that You perceive the heart and interrelated desires of this child, connect them together and make use of all the joy and sorrow in the individual and in the heavenly world within this cosmic history to record this day of commemoration.
I offer the entire proceedings of this day’s ceremony to You. Please accept it in its entirety, though it is not without faults. Please accept it as if it were all the flowers in the Garden—the rose of Sharon that can bloom at the end of sincere devotion in a free and self-supporting spring garden. All of Your daughters who have gathered here today and who vary in size and color are like brides who can go forth like lilies. Please enjoy their sweet fragrance and teach them, so that they may take responsibility and become able to be free and act voluntarily in order to cross this high hill. This I fervently pray.
Centering on the thirty-seventh and thirty-eighth anniversaries, and the forty-seventh, forty-eighth, forty-ninth and fiftieth anniversaries, let us raise a flag of victory at this time of a great transition in history. Everybody that failed to completely traverse the way of loyalty while serving Abel should display his loyalty and filial piety before the world, which can welcome the heavenly nation. I fervently pray that You allow an era for reorganization in which we can educate people to serve the Parents, whom Jesus has followed and Adam and Eve have followed, as the teacher of all ancestors.
Please accept today’s bows in joy. I truly hope that it can be a day that is acceptable to You, so that the flower of heart can blossom in Your heart, creating an environment which You can bless.
There still remains a critical hill that I must climb after this day. I must delegate to anybody on earth who follows me; not only do I have to delegate to them, I have the serious task of raising my representative and what’s more my heir. Though my responsibilities may lie before me like a mountain, let the children align themselves with True Parents’ lineage, built on devotion in absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience to the extent that they can breathe in synch and have the same pulse in their arteries. I fervently, fervently, fervently pray that the results of victory can be collected on the path of the sons and daughters, as if the Parents and God had gained victory in this global arena.
I fervently pray that You bless everything from beginning to end today, so that it may be carried out according to Your wishes. This I fervently pray in the name of True Parents and report through all the internal and external conditions. This I declare in True Parents’ name. Amen, amen, amen.
Father’s Speech
Can you hear me? Those who are seeing me for the first time, open your eyes wide and take a good look. I’m sure there are people who are here for the first time. While you are here, I will regard you all like family. Everybody should be clear about this. Don’t feel uncomfortable; relax as if this were your own house. I may say good things, and then again, I may say bad things. I may also give you words of caution or advice, so keep this in mind. I am like an elder brother to you. You are like my grandson or granddaughter. Is there anyone over eighty-eight? Raise your hand if you are over eighty-eight. Many people complain that they aren’t treated right as an elder. The question is whether they are the man that they should be, the woman that they should be, the mother that they should be or the daughter that they should be. They are people in need of restructuring. Those in the back, can you see me? [Yes.] This should be close enough.
How old do I look? Do I look like a grandfather, a middle-aged man or a young man? [Laughter] I like youth; it’s a pity that I cannot become a young man again—a pity indeed. [Applause] Now that I’ve become this unattractive grandfather, I have no need for such applause, but if you’re going to clap your hands for God, please do so. I’ll bring my face closer to you—I’ll be right there, so wait where you are. Don’t go off to the bathroom. We don’t have time. Why are you taking pictures and running away from me? Is this close enough to see my face? When I was young, people said that I was handsome, but now I’m old. What do you call an old person? Would you call him a handsome old man or an old, handsome man?
The person standing here has spent his entire life talking, so I know how to talk when I have something to say. Please don’t judge me on how nicely I speak. The grandfather who can talk nice or nasty when he should or curse when he should is a fearsome person. [Applause] How old are you? Come out here. Okay, so this person will now sing for us. Pay attention. [Applause] Are you Korean or Japanese? [I’m Japanese.] You’re representing me. [The Japanese member sings.] Koreans raise your hands. The men, let’s see some hands from the men. I don’t see any good singers. Okay, how about you? Come up. Sing loudly. If you don’t have a microphone come near me and sing [into Father’s pin-microphone]. I have a microphone here. [A Korean member sings.]
It would take a long time to go from here to the back of the room and back again. I don’t have time today. I think this is close enough, so please be understanding. Wouldn’t it be nice if I went up on stage? Or should I just stay down here and talk? I’m sure the people in the back would like it if I went up, because they can’t see me now, but I’m going to sit here, since I see many familiar faces together in the front row. I’m going to sit close to the front row. I won’t go up on stage. Do you understand? Clap your hands. [Applause]
Okay, so what day is today? [True Parents’ Day.] What number of celebration is this? [It is the forty-seventh one.] If it’s the forty-seventh one, that means we’re moving into the forty-eighth year. That’s forty-eight years. How many times greater is forty-eight than twelve? [Four times.] It is four times greater. It is the forty-eighth year. When it becomes the fourth year after the fortieth Parents’ Day, the Unification Church would be forty-eight years old, the last year before middle age. I’m sure you already know this. It is until the eighth year. Quadruple the number twelve is forty-eight. That brings us from the age of youth—the Ewha years—to the age of the sages of the past, to the age of youth and then to middle- and old-age. It increases. What age comes after that? It is the time of going into the spirit world. That’s how it is. If you are in your youth, that would make you forty-eight years old or less. Once you go beyond that age, you enter middle age. Forty-eight is at the center. What’s two times forty-eight? If you lived to ninety-six, you’ve lived all that you can, right? So once you go past the halfway point, you can proudly advance beyond your youth. The Unification Church is still within the age bracket that [Korean society] categorize as youth. In light of this, twenty-four years after coming into the world, you should marry.
Three times eight is twenty-four. Eight times two is sixteen. That is why I entered the path of the providence when I was sixteen. Two times eight is sixteen. Three times eight is twenty-four. Twenty-four would be the age when a person becomes perfect and marries. People should be married by the time they are twenty-four. Do you understand? Why? Once you become twenty-three, in terms of physiology, the cells in your body start to die. It is a time when you are at the highest point of perfection, when you are healthy and your face is young and fresh. It is the time when the beauty of men and women blossoms. Marriage is similar to the time when flowers bloom and give off a fragrance. Therefore, once people start to approach twenty-three, they must get married. That is based on the Principle. Do you understand? [Yes.] Raise your hand if you aren’t married. There should be many single men and women here that are over twenty-four—those who pursued their studies. It is time for them to be blessed. Who should marry these people? What? [God!] Who is God? Isn’t God the first father of our ancestors? Isn’t that so? God is the father of our ancestors….
Wasn’t it good to hear a song from both a Japanese and a Korean? [Yes.] I think I’ll sing a song myself. If the grandfather starts to dance, would the grandchild dance along, or not? If the old ladies and daughters-in-law don’t dance, would the grandfather poke them in their sides, or not? He would poke the old ladies, poke his elder brother and his wife and even poke the other brothers. That’s how they all can come together in harmony.
Since today is Parents’ Day, it is a day for a feast. Should the parents prepare a feast or should the son or daughter prepare a feast? Did you bring any rice-cakes with you? [Laughter] Did you bring any meat with you today? Is it beef? Pork? If it were your parent’s birthday, you should prepare these things. Did you come empty handed? Would that make you a good-for-nothing or a good-for-something? You’re not even worth the swear words that you hear. You should be aware of these things. Would you like to have some of the food that the Parents prepared here today or not? Don’t go stealing more food, even if what you eat here is not enough. Keep that in mind as you are here for this joyful and harmonious occasion. I don’t have time today. I’m very busy. I have to finish off a number of things in one day. I tell you I’m busy. Remember this. The womenfolk who are here today and those gentlemen over there, you famous people, I don’t know if my name outshines yours or not, but go on as if it does and open your hearts, so that you all might enjoy this occasion as you please. Do you understand? [Yes.]
What is True Parents’ Day? The most fearsome and yet excellent answer would be this: True Parents’ Day is a day when God can be liberated, True Parents themselves can be liberated and all that belongs to True Parents and God can be liberated. If this is your answer, you will get a perfect score. This answer has never been given before. God’s Day was not established. People should have been born into the world after God’s Day was established, but they were born without it. It was to be a day on which God and True Parents could rejoice. God and humanity should have become one in the true will, where both should have rejoiced over this day. Furthermore, heaven and earth should have rejoiced where the Father is heaven and the son is earth. They are in a subject–object relationship, a Cain–Abel relationship. All of this was at stake. God’s Day would have become Parents’ Day and Parents’ Day in turn would have become God’s Day. The path leading to that day should have manifested joy; that day should have been one in which humanity could harmonize, respond in concert and be united. What should have been at the center for this to be possible? Meat to eat would have been needed, of course, but more than that, this day required the relationship between a parent and child and would not have been possible without love. A mother and father would have been needed. Children are born through the union between a mother’s blood, flesh and lineage and a father’s love and lineage. The parent–child relationship can never be established without the harmonious union of the father and mother’s love, life and lineage, nor can the relationship of true siblings be established without this. Without the relationship of true siblings, and without sons and daughters, there is no way for people to be raised as siblings, become husband and wife and grow to become parents.
The Fall blocked all relationships between God and humanity, between people, between men and women, between parents and children and husbands and wives, and all subsequent blood relationships. Do you understand? [Yes.] If a resultant person had freedom and happiness, where would he use all that? Do you think that person can find happiness alone, just because he thinks he’s happy being alone, when he has lost his mother, siblings, wife and child? He cannot be happy alone. You cannot say you like something without an object. To be happy you must be in a reciprocal relationship with something. The terms “good” and “bad” come about when there is a mutual relationship. How many types of people are there in the cosmos? [There are countless types.] “Countless types”? There aren’t “countless types.” How many types of people are there? It is simple: men and women. How many types? There are men and there are women. What else? Both eat the same thing, both enjoy the same recreation, both enjoy living and desire to live in harmony. What is the difference between men and women? Which is in the majority here?…
Can money, a good man and a good woman live together? This is a serious problem. Can they or can’t they? Yes, or no? [No.] It looks like you know your stuff. Say money-money. Money-money goes around and is gone. That’s a shame.
Now that True Parents’ Day has come, what would be the most precious gift you could bring? Would it be a money, a material gift, or as the expression goes, the gift of recovering a lost orphan? They are all, of course, gifts. If someone were to recover a son or person that you had loved dearly who had been lost, you would be grateful beyond comparison. There is no greater joy than that from finding something that was lost. This brings us to the conclusion that a relationship between siblings, relatives, nations, and their people creates an environment in which one could always be together with one’s beloved son, daughter and children. Haven’t you ever told a man you were sitting next to that you were uncomfortable sitting next to him? I’m sure there are many people who have said that. Since there are many people here and it is a diverse group, I’m sure there are all kinds of people who try to sit alone or poke others in the side if his or her seat gets a little too close. Is it good to complain, or not? Complaining is for thieves. Say it. Complainers are thieves. [Complainers are thieves.] Why do people say that complainers are thieves? Once you start complaining, everything begins to disappear. You may complain that everyone is leaving you, but with that one comment, someone close to you will fall away from you, even though the two of you may never have had an argument. Complaints are shallow words that allow thieves to get away and enemies to multiply. When complainers gather in numbers in public forums such as this, it always yields unfavorable results. From now on, instead of becoming a champion of complainers, become a champion of obedience. There would be more people capable of feeling fondness for the person next to them and for the people at home if more and more of this type of champion were to emerge. This is criticism that comes from common sense. When this is regarded as proper, a path will open for those who suppress complaints. They may have to make an ally of a fugitive thief. If you endure and grab on to a person that tries to run away, that person may complain, but this is all in order that the two of you can become one and thereby prevent the loss of even one person. There is no greater transaction than this. Isn’t that what trust is all about? If you agree clap your hands.
When God created, what was the last thing He created? Was it the woman or the man? [The woman.] Women, aren’t you offended by this? When God began creating, did He do so with the man, or the woman, in mind? Whenever you try to speak, there is something you should always keep in mind; you should talk after acknowledging certain preconditions. Even if I swear, it is because I found certain preconditions enabling me to swear. When I know certain facts about someone and state them in his presence as facts, why should he make a big fuss out of it when I say what the person did wrong? Did you actually see Adam and Eve fall or not? Well? [We did not.] What is it that the Unification Church is doing? What is this organization doing? We are in the age of discovering our roots. What happens at the root? Who is the first ancestor of that root? It is the seed. Say “seed.” [Seed.]
You don’t know how many times I have been slandered. People have said nothing but curse words to me. Was I ever praised? Have you praised or sworn at me? Well? Rev. Kwak? How many times have you bad-mouthed me? [Only a little.] Even if it’s a little, you did it. Why? I’m sure you felt insulted many times, because I give you a hard time and force you to admit you don’t know something. Since you were insulted, you probably complained. That’s always the thinking of complainers.
Should I dispose of my property, or should I give it away before I go to the spiritual world? Should I sell it or give it to someone? Would it be better to give it to people who come asking for it, or should I go to people to give them my property?
A true person, someone God designates a true person, is a true young person whom the True Children would aspire to become. If men aspire to become a true person in middle age and old age, I’m sure there is such a person as a true grandfather, a true father, a true partner and true children. If you love the true grandfather, you would, in effect, be placed within the realm of having loved all his children.
Who has seen true parents? How do you recognize true parents? You cannot. Why don’t you know? If you were to say that you would recognize true parents while not knowing how true parents came to be—what happened to our original ancestors, how God longed for the source of the true parents and how His wish was upset due to the Fall—I’d say you were lying. I’m sure that you’ve never seen true parents or true love. Have you seen true parents?
Did Adam’s family become a family that was blessed by God, or did it bring disaster to God? [It brought disaster.] How do you know? In the Bible, they are described as having been driven out of the Garden of Eden and that the descendants of those who were driven out were destined to go to hell. That means that not one among the people in the world today could go to heaven.
Do you know God? Dr. Kim Min-ha, I’m asking you if you know God. You don’t? That’s why you have to listen to what this elder brother who knows God well has to say. I’m sure you don’t like that. No? All my beloved friends were taken away. Everybody that I loved and trusted was taken away. I was thinking of working with the vice-president of Tongil Industries, but he was also taken away. I was trying to use a person who knew everything about the helicopter business in terms of technology in Korea and Asia, but I was told not to trust him. Why? His company in Changwon had failed. They were telling me not to use a person who had failed. Whenever I like something, it doesn’t turn out for the better. The people I liked in the age of the individual, family, tribe and nation ended up becoming an obstruction to me later on, with the development of these levels. My younger sisters and relatives that I loved were taken away from me. I am not talking about the Unification Church’s Rev. Kwak. The people who built the Unification Church through persecution were taken away because of the suffering they experienced, the blood and sweat they shed were about to hurt them. People other than me would cure them. They would be whipped on my behalf, and alone they shouldered the burden. They shed tears and were wounded. The fingers pointed at them were actually aimed at me. The mistreatment they received in the end made the people around them their friends. God became their friend. I knew about these things. Do not believe in the person that boasts of his successes. I’m sure many of the elders here are such people.
Those who like me, raise your hands. Don’t lie. Close your eyes and think about it. Those who really like me, raise your hands. So you do. All the good-for-nothing Japanese have raised their hands. Do you like me? [Yes.] Do you like me or love me? [We love you.] Those who love me raise your hands. You’re promiscuous if you raise your hand even though you have a husband or wife. You have to go to heaven with my permission. If you were told to bring bread or lunch before you go, you should do so. That’s the kind of thing I like. Since I’m always happy, I don’t age. Didn’t the Japanese drive me out? I’m making Japanese people into Koreans.
The people who like or love True Parents have raised their hands. Would you die for True Parents? When I tell you to take responsibility for everything on my behalf, would you accept my request? Are you worried? If I told you that I was passing on everything of the True Parents’ to you, would you take it with you? People would sell off the things that should be eternally stored in heaven. That is why I never dream of having my own possessions. I would buy good things for those who were loyal to me and pass on everything to those people instead of to my own children. That is why God likes me. Why? Didn’t God drive out the children of His direct lineage?
All those who are here today are fake. You are like things that are secondary, supplementary. God entrusted these supplementary objects to be His representatives; gave all His rights of inheritance to the supplementary objects. God is much greater than I to be able to do that. I’ve been doing this for only eighty-seven years. God has been doing this for thousands and tens of thousands of years. God is saying that He is going to trust us and entrust everything to us. Not only that, He is going to give all of His rights of inheritance to us. Who would say no to that? Satan is trying to make people fail. Eighty percent of fallen people carry on the tradition that their ancestors received. Thus, there is nobody with whom God could really be pleased. Yet, with a good heart God is rebuilding mankind—cutting off anything that is wrong, for example your leg if it were acting strange, removing the skin and supplementing the flesh and bones to make that person into His representative and a person who could be better than God Himself. He is wiling to give everything to the person who represents Him in the created world. Therefore, wouldn’t it be better to receive what He has to give rather than going to hell? God is saying that He is allowing us to inherit everything from Him, which is great one way or the other. Considering this, I have nothing. Did I love my children more than I loved you? Was I more fond of my own children than I was of you? I see that my children are here today. They say that their father loved the 36 couples—who are the ancestors—while neglecting them, his children, that I would neglect them so as to show hospitality to all of you. Did I, or didn’t I, do that? [You did.] That is why the satanic world was having a fit. They were thinking if Rev. Moon kept on going like that, he would take away all of their people. Didn’t I display such despicable behavior? I took those people from the satanic world, without a word. The only crime I could be accused of for acting in such a despicable way as a parent would be the crime of loving God, of treating the Lord of the Universe as the Lord He is, of carrying out His errands, of allowing Him to do what He wanted to do. That is the only crime. Why? Seeing me behave in such a way, would the satanic world be happy about it or not? I revealed all their secrets. Don’t I know Satan’s secrets? Do I or don’t I? [You do.] Anybody who knows the Divine Principle can accuse and indict Satan in the presence of God. You could say, “I have evidence. Didn’t you make mankind fall in such and such a way, you bastard?” If you come to know and befriend everything in your surroundings—inside and out, vertical and horizontal—God would not be able to say no to you, neither would Satan, nor anyone else. The case would be closed right there. No one can stop me from traveling down my path. I’d go to the end. If there were a tall tree, everyone including your mother and father would tell you that you would be hurt if you were to go up the tree and fell down. Yet, children would still climb up and down the tree. They could climb up and down the tree as much as they like, as long as they don’t fall into and drown in the river. Satan cannot allow people to be forgiven for things that they could be forgiven for. That is why I had to face all kinds of opposition from Satan. Why? It is something that upsets God. When God sees Satan opposing me, He is displeased. He cannot go along with opposition that Satan likes. That is why I silently receive his opposition. I would endure for a year, two years, ten years and even twenty years. Though I am without fault, Satan would lie saying that I had sinned in God’s name. Yet, if I endure for thirty or even forty years, it will all be revealed. Once fifty years goes by, it would automatically be revealed. That goes for you as well. How hard should you repent? At least forty years should pass. The Christians fight among themselves and steal from one another and yet turn around and ask God for forgiveness. God is not so cheap. Why is that? It’s not because of some stolen object from the banquet table. You have to know about the lineage. Say “lineage.” [Lineage] The lineage is the problem. For what reason did the first ancestors fall? God was trying to establish His lineage by forming a parent–child relationship with mankind. He wanted them to grow in His love from that lineage. He wanted to bless them and have them inherit everything from Him, but they completely upset His plans.
God knows everything. On the other hand, unless I do something that allows even Satan to be forgiven, the path that Adam and Eve were supposed to take in the Garden of Eden before they sinned would close. That is why I have to love even Satan. Even though God is hurt by him and regards him as His enemy, originally when God created His son and daughter, the archangel was supposed to protect them and join them when they entered heaven. Even though the archangel sinned, if Adam worries about that, God would say to Adam, “If you can make Satan say that you were right and bring him to natural submission so that he follows you, have him repent many times more than he did before the Fall and have him fulfill the way of loyalty and filial piety many times more than he did before the Fall, I would feel compelled to forgive him.” So when the True Parents appear and you meet them, what are you going to do? What are you going to do?
That’s why even Satan is pitiable. God wanted to beat him to death, but Rev. Moon captured him instead and has defended him saying, “Satan is not somebody that should be killed by You. I will pay for his sins, so please leave him to me instead of killing him.” If God were to refuse to do that, He wouldn’t be God. Instead, He says, “Okay, since you’re better than I am, give it a try.” If God should ever rectify the lineage and abolish areas of the Garden of Eden, He would be entitled to appoint His representative and heir even in the presence of Rev. Moon. Japanese members tell me what I just said. Those who are here for the first time, do you understand what I’m talking about? The men who are here for the first time, do you understand? Are the Peace Kingdom Corps and the Peace Kingdom Police here? You aren’t the army and police for God’s nation. God does not have a homeland, because it is without form. The speech I recently gave was called “God’s Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful, Ideal World.” What is the purpose of this? It is to liberate the fatherland and restore the homeland. We lost the fatherland and homeland. Even if the people of the world were to perish for some reason, the dignity and honor of the children who are responsible to create a world of peace should not be lost. Do you understand? What was the first thing that was lost? What did Adam and Eve lose at the time of the Fall? They lost the lineage. What is the lineage? It is the root of love and life. Do you understand? When I dance with excitement for releasing Adam from his bitter resentment, liberating God from his bitter sorrow and when Adam, liberated now, dances as well, would God say to you, “Hey, why aren’t you dancing with Rev. Moon?” Do you shake your hips when you dance or not? Are you going to say, “I’m not budging because I’m a president,” or “I’m not dancing because I’m a minister or a doctor.”? When people, both men and women, hear a good song, their emotions well up and they feel like dancing. When that happens, would you want to dance or not? I can’t dance in front of you today because of the women who are here for the first time. If I did people would say, “Aha! So it is true: the people of the Unification Church dance naked.” That is why, though I want to dance, I can’t. Parents’ Day should be a day of celebration.
Why do I talk about True Parents? Why do I also talk about the Savior? There are many people who are in need of a savior. Why? They can be saved only after connecting to True Parents’ lineage. Then, what is this True Parent? He is the Messiah. What’s a messiah? It refers to the chosen people. The chosen people would be Abraham’s descendants. They are all Israel; they are brothers. Those groups belonging to the realm of the Messiah who fight among themselves need a messiah. Jewish Zionism became the hotbed of communism.
Jacob’s determination to defeat God and the angel allowed the chosen nation to come from him. The Israelites thought that God would concentrate only on Israel. Yet, they didn’t know how to serve and attend God. Is Moses God? Moses and Adam were part of a motley crew. The Second Coming of the Lord was necessary because the first Lord failed. The first Lord came as God’s son, but he failed. What are you going to do in this fallen world? You have to become true parents, but you don’t know what a true parent is! The True Parents are here, but you don’t know them; you don’t understand who the returning Lord is. Such people should be cut away. There was no religion before the Fall. Everything that I’ve taught you is based on this fact. The communists can throw their dogma and principles out the window. They’ve practically become a religious group themselves! They can’t make a false move in my presence. I know everything about them, even what’s in their closets. I’ll summon their ancestors and have them testify about them. I told them to pull down the statues of Marx and Lenin. I met Kim Il-sung and asked him about the Juche ideology. What is it? It’s about creativity, awareness and independence. What does that have to do with a relational God? Those are but relative concepts. Love alone allows creativity and awareness to come about. Love—true love stands above these things. When a baby is born, doesn’t it sniff its way to its mother’s breast? It goes a long distance. You, do you like women? [Yes.] Do you like [your wife] more than you do your mother? Ask yourself; you should know. Do you like [your wife] more than you do like your grandmother? More than you do your queen? That becomes a problem. You should love your queen, grandmother and mother and then love your wife. If there is anyone who would abandon his queen, grandmother, and mother for his wife, loving her more, he should be driven out of the house. Or should he be protected? He’s incapable of doing that because he doesn’t understand lineage. He thinks his mother and father are stupid. Out of three hundred women on the streets, at least fifty, even eighty, of them indulge in free sex. Whose children are they? They have love. They have children. They have their own grandparents. How much research do you think I did for this work? I even investigated the Mafia. I even investigated Las Vegas. I know all the actors’ secrets. I made preparations to clean them all up.
When I played sports, I always ranked at least third place in my group. Whatever I did, for example, the horizontal bars, I excelled. I can still do it now. I’m done in three to five minutes. I’m never late. People have to catch up with me from far behind. Has it been forty years since I made the Unification Church? I’ve met presidents of the United States twice before, but now I don’t. If I met them and said what I wanted to, I might be able to save Korea and open the path for reunifying North and South Korea, if I boldly thrust the issue at them. I’m not lying. Where is the president of the Washington Times? Who is doing the six-party talks? I have their secrets in my hands. Eight [Korean] administrations have opposed me. I think I see some of the people [who worked as ministers during those administrations] here with us today. You may think, “Oh, Rev. Moon should treat us with respect!” I should give people the treatment they deserve. Their ancestors in the spirit world are saying no. I have to resolve that. Doing so is why I told them to come. If they refuse, saying that they’re busy, they will go to hell. They will grow old, die and go to hell. When they go to hell, I’ll drive them away. You are the flag bearers of the eight administrations that opposed me. Is Heo Moon-do here? Where is he? Heo Moon-do? Have you been sitting here all this time? You have to study hard. You’ve become familiar with our teachings to the extent that you can even exchange questions with the leaders of the Unification Church, even though you’ve been with us for only a couple of months. I can’t say that I don’t know him. I know this person well. And this person here is an affable fellow, but his belongings have increased. He explodes if he doesn’t get his way. What use is it to teach those smart people the reality of the spirit world, if they don’t understand it? I should just tell them what they are capable of comprehending. You have to understand the root. I should teach you about the root. You all seem to have served important positions in your better days. Sometimes, I’m sure you were unavoidably compelled to pilfer. I faced such circumstances many times, but I did not do such things. That is why God has followed me to this day. Do you understand? You must be clear on what kind of person I am. It will be difficult to meet me after I am dead. Don’t think that I’m going to hell. I told people to take off their clothes and dance. What do they call the crime of taking off your clothes after getting drunk and dancing? I’m saying this to help you inherit the secrets that until now I have kept in storage. You deserve to be kicked… I like the Americans. Why do I hate the Koreans? Who will be accountable for them when they are punished after running away? Only I know the way to heaven. Get rid of your titles, such as church minister or church elder. That is why I kept on going alone like a dictator. People thought I would perish but I did not. Do you understand? [Applause]
So we’ve reached the end of my talk today. What was the first crime that Adam committed against? [Lineage] It was against the lineage! The second crime was between Cain and Abel. The elder brother killed the younger brother. When a mother who already has a child wishes to give birth to another child, which would be the younger sibling of the first child, shouldn’t the first son or daughter protect that child? It is strange. The love… The lineage was changed. Adam gave birth to a son from a fallen lineage, and since Satan knew that the younger sibling that was to be born would come before him, Satan quickly moved to upset this plan and finish everything in a single generation.
