The following are excerpts from the speech Father gave at Hannam-dong on October 3, 2005, which Rev. Kwak introduced. Later that day Father began the Korean leg of the global tour with a speech in southern Seoul while Mother began the Japanese phase in Fukuoka.
So, should I say a few words? A great revival is going to happen now in a hundred locations—in Cheon Il Guk, the nation centered on the heavenly kingdom, and in the National Assembly, centered on the heavenly kingdom. There should be neither national legislative bodies nor a United Nations that is not centered on Heaven. Each nation has its own parliament or congress and the United Nations represents the world.
I have established the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) on the foundation of Cheon Il Guk. Therefore, UPF has gone beyond the pinnacle of victory to a place where the United States and its congress, and the United Nations, can no longer stand against it. Therefore, UPF is a body that can provide protection in Cheon Il Guk, from a position of having gone beyond the governing bodies of the secular world and the United Nations.…
If Britain, the United States and France, with Britain at the head, had followed me right after the end of the Second World War, everything would have been completed by 1952. The opportunity to declare Cheon Il Guk and cosmic peace and unity was lost at that time.
Since Korea was liberated at that time, all the patriots who had gone to China, the Soviet Union, the United States and Japan should have assembled in one place to convene a meeting centered on God—not on man or any patriot or tradition—for the purpose of building a nation; but they were unable to do that.
Kim Koo in China, Syngman Rhee in the United States, and Kim Il-sung in the Soviet Union returned to Korea for the purpose of unifying it. Kim Il-sung came forward and made the first move. He made his appearance in North Korea with the backing of Soviet military force. His opponents tried to create an independent nation under the protection of four nations, centered on this nation. But politics should be carried out centering on the president. So the problem was in selecting a president. A history of bloody struggle ensued among Kim Koo, Dr. Syngman Rhee and all the other leading figures and patriots who were stationed in other democratic nations and intent on leading this nation.
However, if they were to make progress centering on Korea, those numerous patriots who were scattered in all four directions should have come together and completely disarmed the Japanese police and army. Then there would have been no need for the United States to come here and install a military government. There would not have been a problem if we had moved forward in creating a nation on our own.
Then I would have been pushed onto that stage even if I had not wanted to be there. All such preparations had been made. Yet, America began its military government with the support of Japan and those who spoke English because of Christianity. Arnold,2 was looking for people who could speak English and represent the U.S. government. That is why he worked with those who had studied abroad and who had been to the United States. It took a long time, though, before they’d filled the government positions that were being filled by Japanese. During that time, the communist party emerged. It went through a complicated course.
What was there for me to catch hold of? In order to transcend all those people who had fought for independence, and establish a new God-centered administration, I had to work within the interreligious sphere centering on the missionaries from Britain, the United States and France. The path Britain was taking and the path Christianity was taking were different…. Britain created an empire upon which the sun never set, across five great oceans and six continents…. Britain’s missions focused on the vast land of Asia. Asia constitutes a religious sphere. There is Buddhism, Hinduism, and Confucianism in Asia. Wasn’t Britain like a base for pirates with its seagoing power focused on that religious sphere? In Asia, Britain occupied even India and China by force and through religion. Britain should have brought the religions together and carried out Jesus’ work on his behalf—done what he was unable to do. Yet, Britain went on to assert its supremacy and thus lost everything.
In this way, after the Second World War, all the colonies that had been occupied by the great powers were dismantled and liberated. This came to be a world without an owner.
What developed from that situation? Each nation had sovereignty but formed the United Nations. However, the UN has completely lost its capacity to guide the world. All the nations at the United Nations are focused on their own interests…. The UN is a battlefield for a battle that has no regard for world peace or God’s providence. Each nation has sacrificed the United Nations for its own national interests, thereby promoting a movement for its dismantlement. Therefore, this institution of peace is letting the time slip away in which to uphold the will of the world and God’s will. As I know these things, I have to prepare to deal with that.
The fundamental standard of peace must begin from the mind and body. The Fall brought about the struggle between the mind and body; our battlefield is the evil world. Evil has brought everything into conflict through struggle, and ultimately has led to division. If two nations were to come into conflict, even if one of the nations disappeared, two groups would emerge from each—from both the defeated and the victorious nation—thus creating more factions.
Satan may win a war but be destroyed because he becomes divided. Heaven does not have a nation, and a barbed wire fence has been erected and a line has been drawn around the individual, preventing him from going beyond it. Yet, heaven has continuously carried out peaceful integration and unification. This has opened a path through which nations and enemies can be brought together across national borders. Even if national borders exist, if the path is connected, all the gates will open.
In this way, from the individual to the family, tribe, nation and through the remaining eight stages, Heaven has worked not so that Abel should be sacrificed for Cain but so that Abel, though he is sacrificed, can save Cain, the elder brother, and embrace Cain with a greater love than Cain has for his own beloved nation, even if it means sacrificing one’s own family and nation. Without a standard of practicing that greater love, they cannot enter heaven.
When this is done, once the time comes, God will embrace even Satan, His enemy. God has carried on with the hope of creating heaven by embracing His enemy. Therefore, a world of peace begins from Abel, and from the unity with Cain that comes about from Abel’s sacrifice.
When you look at yourself today, aren’t your mind and body struggling? Unification Church members have come to know the Principle and therefore know how to finish this struggle. The body was invaded by satanic love that arose from the failure of Adam and Eve to perfect themselves and connect themselves to God’s lineage, which was taken away; God’s lineage was brought to an end centering on the body. How can free sex exist? The term “sexual liberation” should not exist. This, along with homosexuality and drugs, destroys both the male and female sexual organ.
Britain came to China and caused the Opium War. The Chinese forces were no match for those from Britain. The British felt disdain for them and felt they might as well just wipe them out through drugs. England, which comes from a Christian cultural background, must pay indemnity in the Last Days. That is why their descendants are addicted to drugs, free sex, and alcohol and completely intoxicated in behavior that paralyzes the spirit. That is why it is on its way to destruction.
I must clean all this up. That cannot be done by words. What fundamentally brought about the conflict between the mind and body? It expanded to conflict within the family, between tribes, races, nations and throughout the cosmos. How will the struggle between God and Satan be curtailed? Who will bring reconciliation in the conflict between God and Satan?
This question cannot be answered by philosophy or religion. But since we have the Principle, we know that the lineage was stained, so we should restore the lineage. The lineage must be recovered. Communion is related to Jesus’ blood—his blood from the cross. It represents Jesus’ flesh and blood. Based on the wine which represents his blood and bread which represents his flesh, Communion was observed for the purpose of establishing a condition to connect with Jesus’ body. That became the condition for salvation. It is not because of the cross. It is not by way of the cross. The center of Christianity is the blood Jesus shed and body he sacrificed on the cross as he died. The cross was the instrument of death that destroyed Jesus. That is why I am here in the Last Days leading a movement to take down the crosses in America. This movement is still ongoing.
Religions, centered on Christianity, were regarded as the enemy. Since Christianity was regarded as the enemy—since the Cain-type world regards Abel as its enemy, religions continue to increase. The more Cain strikes religions, the greater in number they become. Countless religions have emerged. This complication arose because of this conflict.
A family must be created centered on true love and true life in order to bring order to all this. Since everything went wrong and was turned upside down because of fallen Satan and fallen parents, this must be completely restored through indemnity centering on the family. For this, a global representative family based on an absolute family foundation must appear. That should have been Jesus’ family, but Jesus could not even marry.
There are children who represent religions and those who represent nations, based on the complicated problems within the religious sphere and the complicated problems of the world’s nations—owing to that single family, lost amidst the struggle between the nation and religion. The framework of family was completely engulfed in struggle. Unless this standard of family emerges, it cannot be restored.
That is why the True Parents must clear away, from the very bottom, everything that was created by the false parents and bring them to natural submission. What is the final answer in bringing them to natural submission? The foundation upon which Cain-type people live with their families is placed in a position that is inseparable from the concept of struggle, because they have inherited the archangel’s lineage. However, the framework for the family philosophy of Adam and Eve was never established. God was never able to embrace or love a third generation—His grandchildren. He was never able to love Adam either.
God’s love, life and lineage should have become the mainstream, but God never had the chance to love Adam and Eve or to embrace their children, His grandchildren. Life and lineage were lost as well. Three generations centered on God’s love should have made oneness before the lineage can extend to a fourth generation. Only then could the lineage be set in place. That is why the three-object purpose is absolutely necessary. The world did not know this.
That is why I have reorganized this and I myself had to separate good from evil. Even God was unable to find the confidence to re-create Adam from within the satanic world. What, then, becomes of this? Adam grew up to the age of sixteen, so God could not prevent Satan from dominating people before they turned sixteen in the satanic world. The fact that Adam was sixteen was completely disregarded and the entire world has been thrown into a history of struggle, because of the satanic lineage, which was created when Adam was sixteen.
How, then, is this to be solved? Nations have completely embedded themselves into the satanic world. The world is also completely embedded in that realm. Even the United Nations is under the influence of Satan, no matter how hard nations try to do something together. They are unable to climb over Satan to sing praise to God and prepare candles and set up an altar to God. Those are facts.
The path that I had to take in that situation was one of separating good and evil through the struggle between my own mind and body. When your body tries to do evil, doesn’t your mind order you not to do it even when you are alone at night? Does it or doesn’t it? [It does.]
That struggle is the problem. There is a living mind that gives orders. Since I am showing the path of God’s will, the problem is not striking my body according to the mind’s orders, but having it submit it to the mind until I go beyond one family, all humanity and the world during my lifetime. Without doing so, God’s nation cannot be created. This makes logical sense. It is completely in line with the Principle.
Therefore, centering on your original mind, you should go against the desires of your body and follow a path that is in line with the desires of the conscience and 180 degrees opposite of those of the body. Until that happens, the struggle and war between Satan and God will not come to an end. That is the principled view, though it is not written in the Divine Principle.
That is why your mind can move in the direction of that hometown that is far off in the distance. It is a mind that seeks the hometown. That mind is unchanging. It is an undeniable fact that there should be sons and daughters who can stand in the position of owners who seek the hometown; there should be such sons and daughters and a family in God’s domain. Thus far I have been clearing the way to the realm of the Principle based on this principle.
Yet Satan and a myriad of devils have obstructed my path, because everything outside of God’s domain has belonged to them. No matter what they do, whether they build fortresses or drive a spear through me, it has no effect on me. What enabled me to block such attacks? After turning sixteen, my original mind grew strong, and I knew where I had to go. If I concentrated on myself, I would know where to go. All the evil spirits used to follow me and collaborate to destroy me, but it didn’t work.
The age of the individual advances to the age of the family. From the age of the family, it expands out in this way. In the age of the family, the satanic world is already organized as a global federation of families. Those federated families besiege the family age and oppose it. Once you overcome that opposition and rise to the tribal realm, the tribal realm comes to oppose you. In this way there are eight stages, from the individual, family, tribe—all the way to the world and finally to God. God and Satan are at war. I say to them, “God, isn’t this the reason you are at war? Satan, this is what you are. You will soon be driven away, so give up this struggle.”
I am taking responsibility for both sides. I will make it so that the mind and body automatically cease to fight. If there is no struggle, the body is basically the same as if it had never struggled….
What then? By forming a family, the entire Unification Church will be entitled to the Paljeongshik centered on the lineage and the eight stages from the individual age, family age, tribal age and beyond. Then, Heavenly Parentism was established the next day. That was sixteen years ago. How great the persecution was back then! Yet I did not die. It almost seemed that I would, but since God did 97 percent and the remaining 3 percent was left undone, even if 97 percent is hard-pressed, 3 percent will not die.
Since I have gone up through the stages on this path, on this foundation I brought together the core peacemakers with those in conflict, educated the Cain and Abels of that world and raised them to follow me in creating Cheon Il Guk and then the Universal Peace Federation. Therefore I have reached the stage where I can seek those who fought against Satan and bring them to natural submission.
Satan cannot deny this logical truth. God is the affirmation of affirmation itself. Where am I going? Once I go beyond the national standard, I can teach people where to go; before that, I am unable to do so. Why? Satan possesses a global realm of influence over everything, from the age of the family to the formation and growth levels and the national standard. Therefore in order to connect the standard of the nation to the worldwide domain, it must be connected all the way to the universal domain, where God can rule centering on that standard of the global domain. On the earth I must go beyond the standard of the nation. If Korea had united after its liberation, from that standard everything would have been completed, centering on Heaven, in the seven years from 1945 to 1952.
The Korean War broke out because international Christian missionaries, both Catholics and Protestants—with Britain, the United States and France in the background—opposed our fledgling Church. The UN should have liberated Korea by supporting me. In Korea, the religions should have taken the lead in the position of Abel and supported Cain, but instead they asserted themselves and collaborated with those in the Cain-type realm. As a result, I was not welcomed and they opposed the Unification Church. Everything went in reverse and therefore had to be completely indemnified again.
Indemnity has been carried out throughout history from Adam’s family; Christianity has been sacrificed to pay indemnity in the course of history, yet all that has been overturned, leaving me alone. I had to do it on my own. Alone I stood on God’s side and began to put things in order by myself. During that time, the family was lost. The family, tribe and everything that was there was lost. If things had turned out the way they should have after Korea’s independence, I would have had a family, tribe and church foundation that would have enabled me to turn everything around at once. Yet I was opposed by all sides and ended up alone.
That is why I could not shout mansei, though the world was doing so over the fact that Korea was liberated and had gained independence. God had to take responsibility again for that tremendous course. In the past, He had a plan to counter Satan from the individual to the family. Since I had already come as the Lord, the Second Coming, the heavenly family that should have been created centered on the nation of Israel should have united with the Christian cultural sphere and the United States, the second Israel. If it had done so, everything would have been completed in five years.
There have been so many enemies between Catholicism and Protestantism and even within Protestantism. The mind and body are at war with each other; religions are in conflict with each other; the nation of Israel is struggling; the communist ideal is compromised; and the nations of the democratic world are struggling. All are divided and separated. This cannot all be made into one.
God and I should become one centered on love and be brought together in life. Based on the foundation of life, the blessing should be given. That is why God and I have had to go through so much until you could be blessed. You should be aware of the fact that you were blessed only after I had recovered the family, tribe, nation and world, which had all been lost. Do you understand? [Yes.]
All the couples, from the 36 couples through the 72, 124 and 430 couples—who represent 4,300 years—have been restored through indemnity in order to open the gates allowing the nation and all its tribes to enter the kingdom of heaven. Then there were the 777 couples, 1,800, 6,000 and 6,500 couples. After the ninth blessing ceremony, the realm of the blessing advanced to the point where it took place with people from all over the world. It continued beyond the twelfth ceremony, based on the 30,000 couples, 360,000 couples and 36,000,000 couples.
The global stage was achieved and then some when we had the 36,000,000-couple blessing which went way beyond 40,000,000 couples. From that point on, the satanic world could not oppose us. Even though the blessing expanded and went beyond—to the world—Satan is unable to go right up against it.]
The continent brings the island nations together to protect the Korean peninsula. America and the island nations should become one in protecting the Korean peninsula. Only then can we completely educate people about absolute theism, absolute humanism, absolute materialism and make up for the incomplete absolute theism, absolute humanism, and absolute materialism that was lost by continents centering on the peninsula and Rome. We are at the final stage…
You cannot even control a small nation, forcing me to come to this nation to bring order to it! I’ve raised a group of beggars! Not children. The sons and daughters have not been carrying out the responsibility of children, because they deserted the satanic world. There is no way to bring the children of the satanic world to natural submission without loving them more than your own children.
Adam’s children are at a higher level than the children of the archangel. The children who will enter God’s ideal kingdom are at an even higher level. If these three levels wish to enter that ideal kingdom, this place should be protected even if you have to sell this one, or put these two together and sell them. There is no way to bring them to natural submission without protecting them, even if it means selling off the nation. Therefore, foreseeing this, I pushed forward with that standard and found a way over all the hills.
What is the point of the speech I am now giving you? Cheon Il Guk must be established; the nation of Cheon Il Guk must stand above the United States. The Universal Peace Federation must rise above the pinnacle of the U.S. Congress and United Nations. That is why they are Cain and Abel on the heavenly side.
That is why it is not about family restoration. It is about having the restored standard of the global United Nations and that of the failures of America to enter Cheon Il Guk and find its position there. In that place the king can ascend to his throne. In order to become such a king, one must go beyond the position of a teacher and then that of a parent. Only by your going beyond the realms of a true parent, true teacher and true king can the universe become one unified world. That makes logical sense. Do you understand? [Yes]
You monstrous brood! You live recklessly, because you don’t understand the world. You think it works this way and that way, but it no longer does. Two hundred and fifty billion ancestors will come down. Yet if you do wrong, you will in effect be building walls across the path your ancestors are taking. Isn’t opposing the Unification Church a global-level sin? The walls that had been built centering on the eight stages from the age of the individual to the age of the family, of the tribe and beyond, have been breaking down. Yet you would be building a wall many times higher on the individual level and throughout the eight stages. Consequently you would never be able to escape from that position.
Therefore, as punishment for all to see, your ancestors will descend and will give both afflictions and their cure to you. If anyone opposes the Unification Church, he will be taken away immediately. I had already signed approval for that even before September 12. Do you understand? I had already declared that.
From now on, don’t violate the law: The very God who severed ties with Adam and Eve, who had been without sin, and sent them to hell, will not allow free access to heaven for a group of thieves who come from the satanic lineage and abuse heaven. This should be clear to you. [Yes.] You should burn away your mind and body, your spouses, children, fortune and nation. Yet since we cannot do that, the number 13, (the thirteenth day of the first month of 2001, which began the third millennium) is the issue to be resolved by 2013. The number thirteen in the West is bad luck. It is the number at the center of twelve. Since I held the coronation on that day, everything must be completely united centering on that by 2013. Otherwise, the lid will be closed for those who oppose us when they go to the spirit world….
God has been carrying out the dispensation of salvation for billions of years. But in the end, with the end of the dispensation of salvation, I am saying that I have to go to the spirit world and attend God tens of times more on the path of loyalty and piety—beyond the imagination of people in this fallen world of Adam and Eve. That is my wish for realizing a liberated realm in the second realm of the spirit world. That is why I have to quickly go there. I have to make your children into blessed couples and raise them. I don’t think about receiving adulation or being successful on earth.
Therefore, when this is done, if a pray, I can go anytime now. You may want me to live longer, but I am not your servant. If you cannot make it, I’ll have to go to the spirit world and through your ancestors in the spirit world remove the bud and root of the people who have failed. You have to be aware of my thinking, even as I move forward on the basis of this decision. Do you understand? [Yes.]
That is why the first purpose of this lecture is restoring the lineage. Say it: lineage (핏출) [lineage!] The second thing to restore is ownership! [Ownership] God didn’t have any rights of ownership. He didn’t have the individual right of ownership, the individual kingship or the kingship of the family, tribe or nation, did He? He didn’t have the rights of ownership. What was the third point? [Cross-cultural marriage] Cross-cultural marriage is needed to completely eradicate the root. These are the three main points; they are the framework.
Then, centered on the Bering Strait, the earth will become God’s territory. There will not be any borderlines on that territory. A peace DMZ will be created and it will be 155 miles long.3 It should be over 160 miles—the number 16. Centered on this, instead of the 120 nations that should have become satellites of Rome, another 120 nations can come here any time by attending heaven. Since they are treated as heavenly nations, once you lived here, you would go back to your hometown and reeducate your people. Since that will happen soon, I am making facilities for that….
The ideal realm of peace that is untouched can be found underwater. Fish in the water have not been judged yet, right? Centering on the untouched fish and the seafood industry, I will raise fish and solve humanity’s food problem.
I am making boats for the ocean. I am ahead of the modern times in terms of making boats. I have done research even on submarines. Those who are unprepared shall perish. If you’re not prepared, you will perish. It’s unbelievable the kind of foundation the Unification Church has prepared to this point. I am the one who will sign on and decide on what will be resolved in the final Last Days through the judgment of justice centered on the constitution of the heavenly nation. I have already made an outline for the constitution. Was that easy? Oh, you don’t know!
So, since everything is prepared both inside and out, were the United Nations to cooperate, in a day, or month or forty days, everything would be done. I am a fearsome person.
When the time comes and the order is given, would blessed couples be blessed twice? Some people divorce because they dislike their spouse, saying “I’m the son or daughter of a 36 couple.” Since my children go out and do many things in the world, some think that if they love my children, they would also be loved in the same way. But my children have nothing to do with hell. That is why they can be brought in anytime. I could not educate them. They don’t know their own father and mother. They don’t think of me as their parent. Even Kook-jin here once asked me when he was in his teens, “Are you my mother and father or the mother and father of the 36 couples of the Unification Church?” Do you remember? He does.
I never once walked in a park holding my children’s hands. I treated them as if they were my enemies’ children. Even if they asked, I said, “If you have study at world-renowned schools until you are twenty-three or twenty-four, I’ll let you go on with your studies for as long as you want. You’ll understand then.”
What was the first topic of my lecture this time? Lineage! [lineage!] What is verse seven of the Family Pledge? What is connected to the original lineage? [A life of living for the sake of others!] A life of living for the sake of others was inserted in the pledge four or five years ago because it was time to do so.
What was verse eight? [As we enter the Completed Testament Age…] Since we are trying to find the global culture of heart, there needs to be the revolution through indemnity, revolution of the conscience and revolution of the heart, right? Since the time has come, in the eighth verse, it says in the final days of the Completed Testament Age, the realm of liberation and complete freedom of the kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven shall be fulfilled.
The pledge is about absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. God Himself had set up those goals a long time ago. How fervently did He warn Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil? He told them not to look, touch or eat it, but—those rascals! Though God had warned them from a position of absolute faith and absolute love, they disobeyed Him and married. That is what messed up the world. Since it was messed up, we must go beyond cultures for the world to be set right. Cross-cultural marriage is needed. Whoever you are, whether you are the children of one of the 36 couples or someone else’s child, you must marry internationally.
Today is the eighteenth Foundation Day for the Cosmic, Unified Nation. It is the seventeenth anniversary of the beginning of heaven and earth. The number 17 signals a new beginning, right? After passing the number 16, there is a new beginning. On this day I am clearly teaching you the path that you should follow now….
Since you’ve become citizens of Cheon Il Guk, wherever you go, if there is land, you can build a tent and live there. You will be welcome to live there. If there is land remaining, you could farm on that land and produce more than you can eat. You are brothers. There are no borderlines. That is how brothers are.u
