Father’s speech at the 38th True God’s Day Pledge Service and Commemorative Ceremony on January 1, 2005. He spoke at length following the Pledge Ceremony; the following excerpts are drawn from that speech.
The most precious thing of all, more precious than even love or life, is the bloodline. If there is no love or life, the bloodline cannot come into being. The bloodline cannot come into existence if there is love but not life, or if there is life but not love. The bloodline can only come into being when all three of them are together. Amen! [Amen!]
The seed of true love and the body of true life are embedded in the center of the bloodline. The seed and the body are embedded in it. This is how, once the bloodline is connected, the family idealized by God and the nation idealized by God can be established on that bloodline. Amen! [Amen!]
If there were no bloodline, both love and life would be gone. Only when the bloodline remains can the object of love also remain, and those liked by that life, be it the wife or the father, move about with life still in their bodies. The original fruit is the bloodline. You should never forget that the bloodline is the fruit of love, the fruit of life, and the fruit of joy, the connection formed by the coming together of parents in love. Amen! [Amen!]
The bloodline was lost. Once the bloodline was lost, everything else was lost as well. If we didn’t have sons or daughters, we wouldn’t have anything, would we? Even if, as a couple, the father loves the mother, and the mother loves the father, only when they have the same love and the same life can the bloodline be continued, and only when that love and that life are eternal can the bloodline continue eternally.
With an eternal bloodline as the root, a bud can be put forth and grow into a tree, which will then bloom and bear fruit. Countless fruits can be produced from one bloodline. The place where God intended to cultivate the soil and bring in a rich harvest in autumn was the Garden of Eden. He wanted to raise Adam and Eve, His son and daughter, in the Garden, where true love, true life and the true lineage were to blossom into full glory. It was the ideal of God to plant His son and daughter in this rich soil and establish the position of the owner of eternal love, eternal life and the eternal lineage! [Amen!] Do you understand?
For that reason, since the bloodline was not realized, the love was lost, the life was lost and God was lost. Everything was lost. Was the bloodline begun from God, or was it begun from a place where there was no God? Since the bloodline was begun from God, and since He is absolute, unique and unchanging, there must have been a man and a woman loved by Him, who were also absolute, unique and unchanging….
Weren’t Japanese women and Korean men enemies in the past? In this year’s international wedding of 132 couples, there were people from the five races, and not one of them said, “I want someone Japanese because I am Japanese!” or “I want a Korean because I am Korean!”
From now on, there should be cross-cultural marriage…. Marriage between two enemies will therefore become the link binding the two together. They will become an axis through their union. Since two enemies loved each other and consequently became the axis, there will not be any being on earth who can break that. When God looks down upon them, he will be delighted. How will Satan feel about that? Since God feels joy from seeing them, Satan the adulterer, will feel sad. Do you understand?
When you give birth to sons or daughters, you should educate them to love their worst enemies. You should raise them to become sons or daughters who will shout louder than a peal of thunder and be brighter than a flash of lightening, and who will work on behalf of God, True Parents, and the king of love eternally. Keep in mind that when that happens, the kingdom where such children are raised will become the kingdom of the parents who raised them. Such has been the work of God until now, and such has been the work pioneered by True Parents.
Marriage must take place between enemies. Even I myself was not born to parents from God’s unfallen lineage. I was in the same position as you. Our ancestors appeared on earth through fallen love, life and lineage. Since that is the case, how could True Parents come into being? It is all woven together like this: it means going the opposite way—thus, it was Jesus who announced to others that they should love your enemies! Love your enemies more than you love your own children! Repeat after me: “Love your enemies more than you love your own children!”…
God lost two things, the bloodline and the right of ownership. God had intended to bequeath to Adam and Eve the right of ownership over everything once they were married in the Garden of Eden. However, they fell while they were still in the process of growing up, and so the right of ownership was passed down to Satan instead. Through the attainment of the right of ownership, from the position of a servant, Satan rose to a position higher than the son and daughter of God, God’s beloved son and daughter in Eden, the prince and princess. Therefore, only when God can tell Satan, His arch enemy, “Don’t go back to where you were; come and live with me,” and Satan answers in the affirmative, can God declare, “My work is done!” and we would enter the era of the liberation of the kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven, for thousands of years to come! Amen!
How can God recover these two things that He has lost? He must be able to love His enemy with His whole heart, even more than He would love anyone else. Satan would then have to return, untouched, to the royal throne of heaven the right of ownership that he had taken to hell. Then we would usher in a peaceful reign of prosperity, the time of liberation and complete freedom and the realm of the liberated heaven and earth when billions of people will be able to shout “mansei!”
Our Unificationist members have passed through the fourth year of Cheon Il Guk and welcomed the fifth. What should happen now? What does Father have to do now? We have already blessed our ancestors in the spiritual world. They were enemies. The spiritual and physical worlds could never have been brought together except through the blessing of our ancestors whereby the positions could be completely overturned, so that the position of the younger sibling was elevated to the position of the older sibling, and the position of the son was elevated to the position of the father. Through this, God’s perfected time of the liberated kingdom of heaven, which will be marked by equality and peace, will continue forevermore! [Amen!] This work will begin today.
Father’s prayer is to have God live here on earth with us and to unite the different religious denominations, by bringing together the religious leaders centered on the five great saints in the spirit world. If the members of these divided religious denominations learned to love their enemies, God and the devil would melt down and merge completely. In the place where they come together light and the heat would became one. What would follow is that, since their leaders had become one, those under them and those in the middle would automatically unite as well! That is why the law of indemnity is aimed not at the eras of the individual, family, tribe or race, but at the time of liberation, when all the above will lose meaning! Do you understand? [Yes.]…
It is the fifth year of Cheon Il Guk. The lost ancestors in the spiritual world and God will then be called forth. Who in the world will summon them? True Parents on earth will summon those who were chased out. The world was split into two. The positions of the son and the father were overturned, the whole world was overturned, and in order to put the world to right, True Parents stood on the realm transcending nation and religion for the liberation of all people on earth, and performed the ceremony of the coronation of kingship, and the ceremony of bequeathal. Therefore, from now on, there should be no religions or nations.
Then, what would be left? Only the nucleus of love would be left, through which enemies and adulterers would be able to come together in harmony centered on God’s love. Only the nucleus of love would be left. This was shared among all of you who received the international blessing, and it is there deep in your hearts, so that there will be no one who can melt it and take it away from you, or try to knock it out of you. It has become a part of you eternally, and since it is the essence of eternal truth, it cannot be denied through experience or cognition.
Since it has been acknowledged along with the essence, which is eternal, existing and permanent, the invisible world of the mind can live together as one with the physical body. The substantial body, in turn, is also united with God, therefore it can live eternally; it would never come to ruin. Once two such people come together in marriage and have children, on the foundation of the nucleus of love, they will automatically be able to serve the prince of liberation, the owner of kingship, who can travel back and forth between the spiritual world and the physical world….
Centered on God, you will continue to exist as a substantial being of eternal life, and so even if you are living on earth, you will also be living in the spirit world, and even if you are in the spirit world, you will also be living on earth. This will be the world of the eternal kingdom of the parent and child! Amen! [Amen!] (Applause)
From now on, what you should do every day is call down your ancestors from the spiritual world. If your mother, father—your mom and dad—and older brother have passed on to the spiritual world, summon them. The mother and the father were lost; the older brother and older sister were lost; and the true husband and wife were lost. Only when you give birth to true sons and daughters can a true bloodline come into being. If you want to have true sons and daughters, if you want to pass a true bloodline down to your descendants, if you want to give birth to true sons and daughters, you must become true men and true women.
You absolutely cannot enter the new world without denying yourself, because you inherited the false bloodline, which you must reject. How many thousand years has this held true? The world has continued like this for tens of thousands of years and cannot be brought to an end by itself. Only the sword made by Father can bring it to an end. That sword is the Divine Principle. The Divine Principle is a heavenly declaration. The word “Divine” means “Heavenly.” The Divine Principle can move around wherever it wants to in the substantial world and can deal with the world in any way it wants.
The Divine Principle is not the doctrine of the Unification Church. It is the perfect combination of the constitutional law in the heart of God, the mainstream constitution, and the secondary set of laws necessary to abide by the constitutional laws. That is why there is no one on earth who can destroy it. What is it that Satan tried to avoid more than anything else? Satan is concerned most of all about hearing words from the Unification Church, and he hates to hear those words above all else.
Now that the Unification Church will cease to exist, who or what will become the central figure? The Unification Church should also cease to exist, shouldn’t it? Since we are talking about a realm transcendent of nation and religion, all religions should disappear. Therefore, the Unification Church should also be gone. Isn’t that so? The ideal kingdom of heaven, which is the ideal of the Unification Church, should also vanish, shouldn’t it?
We must advance in order to stand before the royal throne of heaven from the place where everything is gone. We must start anew, and you should know that on the day we reach the top after walking up stage after stage, the infinite and perfected kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven will unfold before our very eyes….
Now the time has come for you to leave your hometowns…. That is why you must move here, bringing your clan with you. Now the Koreans will be stirred up. The enemies who are moving to Korea along with the members of their clan, the Unificationists moving to Korea will want to buy houses here. Then the Koreans will want to sell their houses to the newcomers quickly at a huge profit. Those who are coming here, however, should buy these houses, even if they are too expensive. That is your way of loving your enemies. Your enemy is selling you a piece of his land, so you should not try to beat down the price; instead, you should offer to pay more. Only then can you set the condition that you have loved your enemy. Amen, or No-men? [Amen!] So, you do understand what I’m saying.
Everyone, the time for the great move has come upon us. Americans, British, French…you cannot say anything. You must return to your fatherland. You must return to your homeland….
Now, in the fifth year of Cheon Il Guk, you should call forth your ancestors and resurrect them. We must bless the spirit world…. The time has come for us to call forth our ancestors. This will take place for four years starting from now. Over the course of four years they will come. Since the archangel usurped the position of Adam, the spirits in the spirit world could not receive the blessing. This is because the blessing is supposed to be perfected on earth. You cannot give birth to children if you do not have physical bodies, can you? Those in the spirit world cannot give birth to children, and so cannot establish the realm of their sons and daughters.
Since the will of God was for Jesus to come down to earth to form a family, and to connect, through the blessing, the world to the Royal Throne in heaven, transcending nations, Father came to earth, transcending nations, and liberated Jesus as the Second Coming. Doesn’t the Second Coming signify the owner who has come for the second time? Isn’t that the Lord of the Second Coming? The Lord of the Second Coming is supposed to connect the position of True Parents, true love, true life and true lineage, a task unfulfilled by Jesus. If Jesus had succeeded in bringing this about, he would have absorbed the nation to his side and united it into one with Rome, and then his work would have been completed.
By the time Jesus turned forty years of age, he would have become the king of Cheon Il Guk, and his work would have been completed. Father also made complete preparations to complete his work by the time he turned forty. However, because of the opposition from the Catholics and the Christians, everything he had prepared was lost. This nation became a Christian country. That is why they opposed the Unification Church so much. Father’s course was supposed to end at forty: he should have eased the grief of Jesus and raised the banner of the great king over heaven and earth. However, that course was prolonged forty years, and Father is now trying to accomplish this at the age of eighty….
Currently we are truly living in an era where the heaven can mobilize the spirit world. Starting from this year, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth years—four years in all. We should tell them, do whatever it takes to serve True Parents on earth in the appropriate way.
Then would they sit still, or what? This is the question. When the ancestors come down to earth, and see their sons and daughters, and their descendants making mistakes, what would they do? They will cry out, “You good-for-nothings! You are blocking the path of your ancestors. From now on, I’ll do what you’re supposed to do.” The ancestors will get rid of those doing wrong, even if they have to grab the descendants around the throat and drag them along. They can actually send them to the spirit world.
Such incidents will take place. The older brother will drag the younger brother to the spirit world, not to send him to hell but to heaven. Satan made the older brother kill his younger brother, so that the older brother could end up in hell. However, in the present time, the older brother will take the younger brother, who has been thrown into a place of death, to a place of comfort, where he can stay, safe from everyone else, until the day when the world becomes a liberated and free environment. Even in the past there were such places where people could flee and stay hidden. Such a place is mentioned in the Old Testament, is it not? Once a person entered that place, even if he committed the most heinous crimes, he could not be judged, even if his enemy followed him there and captured him. It is without doubt that such a place has been prepared.
Therefore, you cannot deny that frightening days will soon be upon us. I’m not threatening you. Do you understand? [Yes.]
The reason for the complete ruin of your ancestors, your descendants, and those of your clan living in this era, the obstacle blocking their path is not the ancestors of the past or the descendants of the future. It is you, sitting right in front of me. Every little mistake you make will block the path of your ancestors and your descendants, and that is why your ancestors will not leave you alone if you commit any folly. They will take you to the spirit world without delay….
You must serve Rev. Moon as the Lord of lords, the True Parent of true parents, the Savior of saviors, the Second Coming of second comings, and the name of names of True Parents. This tradition should be perfected during my time on earth, because I have the responsibility to establish and complete such a tradition before I go to the spirit world.
These are the words I wish to leave for you when I die. There is no saying when I will go to the spirit world. If I fell ill, it wouldn’t take much for an old man like, me, who is in his eighties and close to his nineties, to go to the spirit world. I cannot be a young man forever. I’m just glad and thankful that I can convey all this to you before I’m laid up for the last time. Please keep in mind that I am telling you all this because I hope that when God sees the record of your life, the record kept of your life in the next world, He will acknowledge that you led a life of a righteous blessed family.
