Father’s speech on October 3, 1999 at Belvedere International training Center, New York. Father originally declared Foundation Day for the Nation of the Unified World on October 3, 1988, following the Seoul Olympics. In Korea, it is normally referred to as Kae Cheon Jeol [Day of the Opening of Heaven]. October 3 is also National Foundation Day in Korea (also called Kae Cheon Jeol) honoring Tangun, the nation’s legendary founding father.
Today is Kae Cheon Jeol. “Kae” means opening the gate. You can see a similar form within both these Chinese characters, kae, and this one, cheon, representing heaven. It means you have to open this gate first before you can get into heaven. Heaven consists of two people, not one. Heaven’s gate will be opened when two people come and push it. We see a lot of single, one person families in America, but as a one person family you cannot enter the Kingdom. It takes at least two. In today’s hoon dok hae reading there was a section describing that it takes Cain and Abel unity. The fall of man can be interpreted as the imbalance between God and man, between the universe and human beings, all things and human beings. We have to balance them and then we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
When you go into the bathroom after waking up in the morning, before you wash your face, what part of your face do you look at first? [Eyes.] Then after that? [Nose.] Then? [Mouth.] Then? [Ears.] When you put your hands over your face, all of your five senses are together there. Do you have just one eye or two? One nostril or two? What about your lips and your ears, are they a pair or one? What about your hands, when you wash your face do you use only one or both? Every one of these organs exists in a pair. But not only the organs of our face. We ourselves consist of mind and body as a duality. Even in the mineral kingdom, the plant and animal kingdoms as well as among human beings, on every level there is the pair system. In our families there are parent and child, husband and wife, brother and sister, brother and brother relationships, and relationships between relatives. Also there is always a subject and object relationship between nations. Therefore, without having a completely united duality there is no sense of completion. Even happiness cannot be obtained by one person alone. People tend to think of freedom as their own, as individual freedom, but even when it comes to the concept of freedom, it takes two. Without having complete, absolute unity between mind and body you cannot have freedom. Without man and woman being united, they cannot achieve freedom. God dwells where two become completely one. Even life dwells in, and life emerges out of, the unity of two.
The last character, jeol, is an inclusive term. It means all, a lot, all things. So the meaning is that this gate is on various levels: the gate to your family, to your society, to your community, the gate to your nation and heaven. It always takes two to open it. So what does Kae Cheon Jeol mean? By proclaiming Kae Cheon Jeol, I am opening the gate of the whole cosmos. God is omnipresent. That is heaven. It takes two to open even this vast heaven.
The most fundamental question for humanity is, how can we make man and woman, husband and wife one? Why do we like eating? It is because whatever I eat becomes one with me. These two, the food and myself, become one. Because love is the base from which life stems, originates. Then whatever helps and becomes one with life gives us joy and happiness.
The spherical model of relationships
Why do we need two? In order to make one out of two through unity. Even speaking of the function of our eyes, these two eyes are working in a circular motion. Your eyeballs can move freely 360 degrees, sideways, up, down, whatever direction you wish. Your eyes represent God on your face. In a way your eyes resemble God, because God is looking and watching over the entire cosmos, sideways, up and down 360 degrees. That is why our eyeballs move as they do. If we study the color of eyeballs, there are three colors, a whitish color, brown (though this may vary between races), and an even darker color, which is black. If you study the shape of your nose, two points, one, two and three. When you inhale, the air goes through two nostrils, and then at the midpoint they join and become one. The lips meet on a straight line. Even when you use your eardrum, sound travels through both eardrums and eventually merges. Again, through utilizing this four position foundation there is always vertical and horizontal movement. By doing so we become one. Studying this vertical movement, there are always three points, the lower, the mid and the high point. Horizontally there are the same. When we connect them, a sphere is formed.
When two become totally one, there is always a center being formed. What is the force forming this center point? It is the force of love. What kind or level of love? Not selfish love, but love that is giving for the sake of others. So love was originally for the sake of others, not for a selfish purpose. What kind of beings, then, are man and woman? Why was man born? For the sake of a partner, an object. There are millions of different levels of subject and object in the cosmos, but there is not one single subject or object that was formed or created for its own sake. Is that true? [Yes!]
Spherical motion is always centered on this power of love. Even when we study the relationship between father and child, the center is love, the center of husband and wife relationship is love and the center of brother and sister relationship is love. Whenever love is the center of a relationship there is spherical movement. This is like a soccer ball: from whatever angle you look at it, the center is one. Strictly speaking, if we speak about the center of a soccer ball there is no visible dot there, but we know there is a center and that any diameter that is drawn from whichever point on the surface passes through that center. We can draw millions of millions of lines through the center of the soccer ball, but all these lines are supporting this center. That is why the soccer ball exists where it does. Also, the force of the center point is supporting all these different directions. That is why the soccer ball is maintained as a sphere. It is like centrifugal force. Do you understand this? [Yes.]
When father and child, husband and wife, elder brother and younger brother become one in love relationships, a sphere is formed. The length of the lines, the size of the section, they are all the same, because they have the same center. The center of a sphere is eternal. No matter how vast the circle may be, the center is still the same, only one and unchanging. This planet earth is so big, the universe is so big, but the center is only one. Why? Above and below, right and left, front and rear, all these relationships are taking place, but they have to be centered on this central point. In that way, they become one.
We know that there are eight different stages vertically and horizontally—from the individual all the way to the cosmos. What is the center? It is the same center, because all these individuals, families, tribes, nations, up to the level of cosmos have to accept this same principle of spherical motion. What does man want to possess most? Money? Knowledge? Power? What then? [Cham sarang.] What is true love? You don’t know what that is. Without knowing God, there is no way you can understand true love. Let’s leave true love out for now, but everyone can say love. Love is what man wants most. Of course every man wants to have love, but this love is contaminated, not perfect. That is why we have to put the prefix “true.” In the relationship between parents and child, true love means this center point. Even between husband and wife, true love is the center. If this love is located slightly towards the woman’s side or towards the husband’s side, it is not true love. It must be absolutely in the center. The amount of love from both the husband’s and the wife’s sides should be exactly the same so that it can form the center. If it is one-sided, it is not true love. Above and below, right and left, front and rear, all these relationships must have an immovable, eternal center, not only the parent and child relationship. To have a spherical family shape, the center has to be the same. The center of the father and child relationship has to be the same as the center of the husband and wife’s and the sister and brother’s relationships.
Becoming a lord (owner) of love
So again, in order to enter the Kingdom it takes two people. Two have to become one, centering on one. Not by force but by love should they become one. Then where should this love between father and child be located, more towards the father’s side or more towards the child’s side? Well, the father is bigger than the son, but even though the child is small, if love is centrally positioned between them don’t you think the father will like that? If the love center remains closer to the father and the child is far away, there is no oneness there. Who determines the owner of love? The partner, the object, always determines the center of love. For example, as the parent you cannot determine the center of love eternally without having children. Only after you have had children do they determine you, their parents, as the owner of parental love. No matter how famous you may be, without having children you cannot claim to be the owner of parental love. Isn’t that so?
The power of love has such incredible and mysterious aspects. For example, when parents realize that this little infant—who still has a runny nose all the time—gives you the right to become the owner of love, this love power is activated. Why? Because the little infant baby has made you the owner of love.
As a mother, even by the difference of smell you can tell if your infant is sick, or has a stomach ache, diarrhea, or whatever. Isn’t it true? Why is that? No matter how handsome your husband may be, or how beautiful your wife may be, without your children you may not claim, “I am the center of love, the master and owner of love.” You cannot taste owner’s love. It takes children. Forever. Is it true? [Yes.]
No matter how handsome a man may be, he cannot by himself become the owner of conjugal love. He has to have a wife—no matter how ugly she may be. The wife is the one who determines the husband as the subject or lord of the conjugal relationship. What about you men, do you like women? [Yes!] Why? Because you are the owner of love who can provide love to women, that is why you like women. Is that true? [Yes.] What about women? In order for a woman to become the owner of love who can provide love to a man, she needs a husband. That is why you like man. This doesn’t quite fit the American standard of extreme individualism. What kind of “ism” is necessary in the relationship between man and woman—extreme individualism or “Public-ism (kongdong-ism)”? Mutual sharing.
All things are more than willing to become one with whatever subject offers love and care. Therefore, for your wife to say, “I am the happiest wife and luckiest woman in the world,” what would it take? In a community there may be hundreds of different couples and families, but if your wife among all those wives loves you, her husband, most, she is the happiest one. Isn’t that true? [Yes!] All the wives in the community will eventually come to realize, “Oh, she loves her husband more than we love ours, so she is the happiest one.” The husbands will come to understand this too. The whole community will come to understand this, then that kind of husband will be welcome everywhere, in every household and every corner of that community.
God is a being of dual characteristics, a being of the perfection of male and female characteristics. Therefore, we, the children of God, should be able to perfect ourselves by exchanging love between man and woman, thus reaching that level. Then God can love us, and we can love God. Only then will God come down and bow down before us and dwell with us, saying, “Now, humankind, I am your lord.” Even the absolute God cannot become the owner of love all by Himself. Do you understand?
There is no library that contains this kind of teaching, not even in Heaven. Even if we sell the entire cosmos, we cannot purchase this kind of precious teaching. What do eyes expect? What does your nose want to inhale? What is the purpose of your mouth, and what are your hands for? Put all of your five organs together and open your mouth and feed on the truth. What about you husbands, when your loving, lovely wife is offering you delicious food, do you open your mouth slightly and laugh at it, or open it like an alligator? You may want to open your mouth with your hands and eat not just the food, but even the entire body of your wife! That kind of joy and desire is there. Just imagine your wife is offering that delicious food now and open your mouth, husbands. Let’s practice! Open it! So when you go home with your wife tonight, practice it. When your wife is offering you a spoonful of rice, you have to understand: oh, her five senses are entirely concentrated here, then this is coming to me. This is my most favorite food, and on top of that my wife’s five senses are here together, so I will take it with extreme joy and happiness. You should be good enough that after taking the first spoonful of food your wife is willing to give the second spoonful and third. That kind of exchange and excitement should be there. You have only two hands, so the third offering should have to come from her mouth, so you should take the food out of her mouth. Everyone say “Amen” loudly! This is more exciting than dancing on this Kae Cheon Jeol.
We must become the absolute, eternal owner of love! Does anyone object? From the individual to the entire universe we have to shout it out. Why should I become the owner of love? By doing so I can occupy the true love center, God. How wonderful, how proud a situation to be in! (Applause.) You know well. I spoke in Korean, but you clapped, that means you understood. Did I speak in English or Korean; I forgot! In a public session I was not going to speak English, but I forgot.
Becoming God’s heir
Isn’t it true that Americans are in the vanguard of spreading the free kind of lifestyles to the world? Because I make these kinds of public statements, Americans think Reverend Moon is a kind of monster and dislike me. Eventually, however, from God’s point of view who will be the ones who perish, those Americans or Reverend Moon? Because Reverend Moon has become the number one king of offering love for the sake of others and making them the owner and center of true love, therefore God must protect him.
We have to know we are born for the sake of our partner. Whoever one is, if he or she were not born for the sake of that partner, there would be no value for that person to exist. Man is born eternally for the sake of woman and woman is born eternally for the sake of man. What if you as a man or woman live your life just for yourself for just a few days? Do you break the eternal law or not? [Yes.] If there is a filial son or daughter, he or she is the one who lives their entire life, down to the level of even one second, for the sake of their entire family or parents. That is who we call a real filial child, a true one. The person who lives for the sake of the entire nation, for its people, even for the air, trees and water of his nation, is a true patriot. Whatever you deal with—be it tree, water, or stone—you have to protect them, you have to live for the sake of those things.
Can you find such a level of patriotism among Americans? You feel ashamed because you are not on that level, but if you answer with determination, you have hope to reach that level in the future. But those who just keep their mouths shut do not have any hope for the future. You have no chance of being educated. If everyone has that kind of attitude, America is doomed to perish. They have power, so they think they can control that kind of world by political power, military power, knowledge and the power of science. No. They cannot control the world. This is a warning from Reverend Moon. Don’t speak with the concept of one nation under God. Expand yourself to the concept of one world under God and eventually one cosmos under God. Because God is ruling the entire cosmos, we should not stick with just one section or one nation. We have to expand our horizon to the cosmic level so that eventually we can become the perfect object of God.
Is Reverend Moon a bad person or a good person? Is God a good or bad God? Have you seen God? You should be able to say automatically, “Well I have not seen or touched God, but listening to Reverend Moon’s explanation, there is no other conclusion but that God is a good God.” Do you want to become a good person? [Yes.] But whoever lives for himself is a bad person. You know that. That is why Reverend Moon is teaching you how to live your life. Within the boundary of your family, if there are eight family members you have to sacrifice for and serve them all the time. That kind of humble offering should be your lifestyle. In so doing do you think you will prosper or perish? Even though you give everything you possess, will you still prosper? [Yes.] Why should we live such a sacrificial life? The only conclusion is that by offering yourself 100 percent you become the center of love of your family. Then everyone in your family will bow down to you.
As long as you keep a sacrificial lifestyle within the boundary of your family, you will become the heir of your family. On the national level you will become the heir of your nation. On the level of the universe and cosmos you will eventually become the heir of God.
Belief is conceptual, while understanding is reality. Do you believe, or do you understand and know? Understanding means you have to work and take action. Belief by itself cannot take action. Since you know and understand everything, what should you say to God, “God, please help me,” or “God, I don’t need your help. I will stick with what I have learned and continue working”?
Education in the stages of love and life
Is blessing 400 million couples a problem or not? [No problem.] Suppose you know certain unmarried boys and girls in your community. If they are not listening to you about coming to this blessing, you have to be able to present it to them in a way that they can be attracted. You should be able to persuade them by saying that, even though you may live as husband and wife, if you marry with Reverend Moon’s blessing at the blessing ceremony there, God will be able to travel back and forth between your house and heaven, and the king of the entire world will be happy to drop by. Such a family can be established. This is how you can persuade them.
We also should be able to educate them about the original value of a man and woman being born in this world and about what kind of level of family and of husband and wife relationship should be built. We should be able to teach them clearly. Do you want to know that content? From where were we born? Through what? From love. What is love then? Whose love? Father and mother’s love. Do you wish your father and mother’s love to last for eternity and be a cosmic sized love, or just a two-hour long love and this small size? You are all greedy! I didn’t teach you yet but you have already answered “cosmic level.” (Father laughs.)
We can explain to them the history of Adam and Eve’s birth. Do you think Adam had a belly button or not? Suppose you received your bride and she did not have a belly button, where did she come from, then? The belly button is the symbol of our inheritance of our parents’ bones and bone marrow, flesh and everything. So if Adam does not have a belly button, he is not the son of God. He should have a belly button. If he does, don’t you think it means he stayed in his mother’s womb? Have you seen Adam’s umbilical cord? Well, for Adam there is an invisible umbilical cord. Even when it comes to the existence of God, God followed this natural universal law and came into existence. He did not just emerge through a big bang just like that. Then do you think God has a belly button too? [Responses of yes and no.] So discuss: which is the right answer? [Yes!] You can safely say that God has dual belly buttons, one is visible, one invisible. Therefore God bequeathed this visible belly button to Adam and Eve. Speaking of God being born, do you think God was being created or born as an infant, like a human baby and gradually became a perfect God, or that God came into being and was suddenly almighty, perfect God? How many billions of years do you think it took for God to exist? What do you think there was first, love or God? [Replies of both “God” and “Love”] You can continue arguing. The people in the back don’t understand what we are talking about. Let’s give them some time.
What comes first, love or God? We have two eyes. Do these two eyes exist for the sake of themselves or because of love? [Love.] Well, God has original dual characteristics. When they become one, what comes first? God Himself or love? [Love.] Love. Do you think God can see love? [No.] Do you see God, love and life? [No.] What about God? In God’s eyes, what kind of love can be seen, the original love or the subject and object level relationship of love? When you go down deeper and deeper underground, does it become darker or brighter? [Darker.] When it is dark, can you see anything there? Suppose love is at the bottom of this darkness. If God could have seen love manifest visibly, He would have grabbed it and never surfaced. That means logically speaking that God cannot see love, the original love. God does not know the power of love. People say this bright world is connected to eternity, but actually the darkness, the world of darkness is connected to eternity. What comes first, darkness or brightness? To create heat there has to be friction. When heat is generated, doesn’t light naturally follow?
Do you think God liked or disliked darkness? [He disliked it.] Then what does it take to lighten this darkness? The power of love. Just as when we study electricity, minus and plus come together and create a spark and that creates light.
Lordship of the stages of life
When Reverend Kwak was travelling through his mother’s birth canal, do you think he could speak? While in his mother’s womb he was connected to her flesh and blood, and gradually he grew. That is why pre-natal education through the mother is necessary when the baby is still in its mother’s womb. If there is a sudden impact on a mother while she is pregnant, or she or the baby’s father committed a sin and are conscience stricken, the impact goes to this unborn baby. It is like a radio broadcast. If a radio station sends out sound waves that a radio receiver can receive just like that, in the same way if there is something wrong in the relationship between father and mother, the sound wave reaches this infant baby in the womb, who is influenced and impacted by it. While you have a child in your womb, therefore, should husband and wife fight or not? What kind of life should you live, then? If this fetus is a female fetus, she will start thinking about the male fetus, just like father and mother. If there is a minus there is always a plus. So even a fetus will think that way. There is the world of the womb. In other words, as a fetus in the womb we should live a perfect life. God is the king of education. So think about it: while God was bearing Adam as His child, don’t you think God gave perfect education to Adam before he was born?
The era of the womb is followed by the infant stage. Then at the age of three children distinguish gender, whether they are a boy or girl, so brother and sister, brother and brother stage, then they go to kindergarten and they grow. So there is the womb stage, infant stage, brotherhood stage, then teenage and engagement stage, then marriage stage, parental stage and grandparent stage, then finally king and queen stage—eight stages. Beginning from the womb stage, all human beings desire to become the king of each of these different stages of life. Why do we need these eight different stages or positions? Because God needs to become the lord of all these eight different stages through covering the entire spectrum of human life. That is the way we are supposed to enter the Kingdom and live with God, becoming the members of God’s family. Do you understand?
Then why is man born? We have to understand that man is born for the sake of woman and woman for the sake of man. But as we grow, we have to go through these eight different stages, becoming the owner, the master of the womb stage, infant stage, toddler stage, all the way to the king and queen stage. That way we can secure all these eight different positions for God.
This is a vertical relationship. Each stage becomes bigger, going up higher and higher. When you look at a huge tree with branches about 30-40 meters long, no matter how big the branches may be, there is always one central top bud. There is like a circular movement within this tree, within the branches and twigs, eventually returning to the original point, the root. Therefore this central bud, if we may say, is related to the root, no matter how big a tree it may be. The vertical connection between this central bud and root is the base from which to spread all the branches, twigs, leaves and so forth. No matter how many and big branches and twigs there may be, they are all working jointly to make sure that the root and the central bud can constantly grow. Likewise a fetus is eventually born as an infant and goes all the way to the eighth level. Our families should be this way too. Therefore, we cannot live our lives just randomly and freely. We cannot sacrifice even one branch of the tree; otherwise it cannot be a perfect tree. When we look at American families there is no central point, no meeting point for these eight different stages.
Therefore, for the sake of your family you have to invest yourself, forget about your investment and keep on doing it. That way you can raise your tribe, your people, your world and cosmos even to the level of God. Even God’s effort will be there to make sure the level of love becomes greater and greater. In other words, God will absolutely have to obey true love. Only after conquering this absolute love can we liberate hell. Hell means a world of darkness. Only when God stands in a position of giving absolute obedience to true love can this world be united and eventually become entirely liberated. This axis will then continue spinning eternally. There is no concept of even hell then. As long as it keeps spinning and turning there will always be light, no darkness.
ideal man’s relationship with the creation
So from the fetal stage a person begins to seek for his or her spouse. The desire of the fetus is to eventually marry and then to become one with God. Infant stage, toddler stage, teenage stage, their ultimate goal is marriage, in other words, building family through marriage. Through perfecting, completing your family, you reach the level of perfection. It means the entire universe belongs to you and the entire universe can have hope to of perfection. When God started creating the world centering on love, what did He create first? Was it human beings or the smallest possible particles of insects? First the mineral world. But the plus-minus love concept already existed. When the plant kingdom absorbs mineral substances from the mineral kingdom, which consists of plus and minus, it does so to build a love relationship with the mineral kingdom. Every level consists of this love relationship. That is why every substance in the mineral kingdom is eager to be absorbed by the greater level, which is the plant kingdom. This is where we can derive the law of love from in this universe, which is giving or investing and forgetting. The law of love, for the sake of the greater level of love. I may be small, but in order to reach the center of the greater level of love I can be happily absorbed. Insects and animals are above the plant kingdom. The relationship is the same. From the point of view of the plant kingdom, when they are being eaten by cows or other animals, of course they feel pain and they struggle. But because they have dual purposes, although from the standpoint of the individual purpose they are suffering as they are being eaten, the greater purpose is that they are eventually reaching the love and life of humankind.
There are a lot of mosquitoes in South America. Sometimes people say we do not need mosquitoes. But without mosquitoes the small fish in the rivers cannot survive. They love to catch and eat mosquitoes. That is why the small fish stay on top of the water and as soon as they see a mosquito flying low enough they catch it. Man is the king, then. Who is the king of man, then? God. What kind of boss is God? He is the love boss, the love king. Once you reach the cells of God, God’s body contains every cell from the mineral kingdom, plant kingdom, animal kingdom, even the human kingdom. That is the cosmic museum there, so without travelling you can find, see and taste all different levels of life from the mineral kingdom all the way to the human kingdom.
Can you eat a chicken without killing it? When you kill a chicken for food, what feeling comes first? “Oh, this must be delicious,” or pity? Sadness or a feeling of delicious, what should we feel first? While killing a chicken should we not have some compassion and pity towards the chicken being sacrificed, a feeling of love? If we truly understand why we are killing that chicken, we will become humble and bow down to it, feeling, “By killing you, my son may eat your meat and his fingernails may grow an inch.” You can have that kind of emotional relationship, and then suddenly you will feel humble enough to bow down to the chicken. “As a representative of God, a son of God, I kill you so that you can become part of me, and that means part of God.” Then do you think the chicken will feel sad at being killed or will he be happy to be sacrificed for the sake of human beings? If you go through this kind of communication and exchange with even a chicken, with such an attitude, even though you kill the chicken it will be happy.
When I catch fish and feed them to those who probably will become the princes and princesses of the Kingdom of God, the fish are happy and proud to be caught. Suppose I catch fish today and all those fish become part of the cells of the bodies of the princes and princesses of God. Don’t you think it is an honor and glory for those fish to be eaten that way? If you understood that this was the way to become the prince and princess, the sons and daughters of God, would you hesitate in going that way? You would go all the way. The fish also have that kind of attitude. All for the sake of love. Therefore, for the sake of God, I offer even myself through human beings, eventually reaching God’s love. That is the attitude of the fish.
Why did I spend the last four years in the Pantanal? From above the level of the fallen world and casting a line into it, catching its plants and animals. The original form of God’s creation is preserved in that Pantanal region, untouched. There is a vast number of species of insects there, and many plants and animals. We can feel that God created all these different levels of life to support human life. Therefore I feel I have to preserve them, love them, and keep them intact. Of course I fish in major rivers like the Paraguay River, but sometimes I go to a small stream, through different valleys and mountains. Everything is fresh and new, and I offer love. To every insect, plant, fish or animal, I always have the mind and attitude, “In place of God I am giving you love. I come here to offer you love on behalf of God.” Everything we see in the Pantanal region is like textbook material to educate human beings. They are like items in the museum of love. It will take hundreds of years to study it all. I continuously have this give and take relationship with nature. If I see one thousand different species, I give one thousand different kinds and levels of love, affection and care. Because of the fall of man, the descendants of Adam and Eve could not offer such a degree of love and care to the creation, so to indemnify that I am now here as the son of God, offering all this. After the celebration of Chil Pal (7.8) Jeol, Ku Ku (9.9) Jeol, and Sam Ship (3.10) Jeol in Korea, the indemnity period is over. There will probably be no more fishing period.
Last time when I went to the Pantanal for eight days, I caught no fish. The previous time, the day I departed from the Pantanal I caught 20 baku in one day. But after returning 40 days later, for 8 days no baku. So I feel the time of dealing with fish in the water is over, and I have to come back to the land and give my love and care to the plants and animals.
I am thinking now of building hunting grounds and fields and sightseeing areas for the hunters and sightseers in the world. We can bring them there, and maybe they can hunt some animals and feed people. I wish I could visit 10, 20, 30, 50 nations a day so that I could give my touch, my love and care to all the different levels of animals, plants and fish all over the world. When it comes to the world of fish, the water world, there is no national boundary. Salmon, for example can travel 5000 miles to the ocean.
Prophesy
Suppose among the 185 nations there are those whose entire nation and people are ready to welcome Reverend Moon to come in and hunt, fish or do whatever he wants to do. That country and those people will be blessed. If father goes to such a nation and hunts some animals and catches some fish, all these will become items in a museum. Some people will even make carvings in the shape of those animals, some animals might be stuffed, and it will eventually be visited by millions and millions of people. Such a museum will be built. Of course there are many different hunting grounds in the world. But if Reverend Moon visits a certain place to hunt deer, it may become a place of pilgrimage for people because it was the place Father came to hunt. There will be photos that were taken that day and all sorts of relics there. Not Reverend Moon’s name, True Parents’ name. There are only one True Parents eternally: absolute, unique, unchanging, eternal. Once that kind of holy hunting place is established, not just people in this physical world but people from the spirit world will also come and visit there and celebrate. That will become the legacy or tradition established by True Parents.
What does the Bible say about the Lord of the Second Coming, he is coming in the clouds or riding on the clouds? What does that mean? It means by airplane. It’s true! If Jesus had talked about an airplane 2000 years ago, no one would have understood. Therefore Jesus simply said it would happen in the clouds. It was a perfect explanation! (Applause) The Bible also says the Lord of the Second Advent will come like lightning from the East to the West. Perfect explanation. If the Lord of the Second Advent as the True Parents of humankind comes, don’t you think people will be waiting in their local areas when and where the True Parents pass through? Besides those who understand True Parents, don’t you think those dozing plants, sleeping fish and idling animals will also be excited and join in to welcome True Parents? The entire nation will join. I have been setting up conditions for the sake of all nature that they will welcome and love True Parents. Because I have done everything for their sake, wherever I go as True Parents they will welcome me. The entire world and universe will come to know and understand Father’s character. Even if there is a hurricane, lightning, thunder, wind and waves, whatever obstacle there may be in secular eyes, Reverend Moon never stops marching forward. He always goes out and challenges and loves them. True love power can take dominion over all creatures.
the meaning of the recent declarations
So all these things, all of nature under the sovereignty of the fall of man, should be liberated. That is why I proclaimed Kae Cheon Jeol. The world of the ideal, of liberation, of equality is here now with us because of this declaration. Even between the saints and the most evil people, those who are handicapped or crippled and those who are complete, insects and plants, everyone is on an equal level to enjoy their life to the fullest extent. That is what is called the Kingdom of God and ideal world.
In other words, in terms of value, True Parents and True Family and all the tribal messiahs and ordinary people are the same. No more indemnity is needed. The time has come that if anyone commits a crime or sin there will be immediate punishment. Who will punish them? Their own immediate family, parents, children or relatives will punish them. In the eras of the first Adam, second Adam and third Adam there had to be liberation. Indemnity was therefore necessary. But after this proclamation of liberation, which is the dawn of the era of the fourth Adam, there will be no more indemnity. The foundation day of Kae Cheon Jeol was declared eleven years ago. But twelve years is required. So we have one more year to go until we perceive the full extent of the blessing of the world and liberation of the ideal.
The globalization of the blessing ceremony was begun in 1992. In 1995, 360,000 couples were blessed. By the year 2000 we will celebrate the fourth Chil Pal (7.8) Jeol. What about the Ku Ku (9.9) Jeol and Sam Ship (3.10) Jeol celebration days? Ku Ku Jeol (Day of Nine Nines) is based on the year 1999, September 9, at nine minutes and nine seconds past the ninth hour [and Father’s age of 79]. And if we add one to the year 1999, it becomes 2000. If we add one more thousand it becomes 3000 and one last thousand, 4000. Sam Ship Jeol is the Day of Three Tens. Ten minutes after the tenth hour on September 10 was the basis for declaring the Day of Three Tens. These three days are three different stages—formation, growth and perfection—representing the Old Testament, New Testament and Completed Testament eras. And through this the years 2000, 3000 and 4000 will see the completion of the history of restoration centering on the blessing. The celebrations of 9.9 Jeol and 3.10 Jeol are now completed. Therefore, from now on, if powerful, developed nations team together and invade underdeveloped, smaller nations, they will be punished by God. There will be renewal in the United Nations and that body will become the vanguard to protect and guide the weaker, smaller nations so that there will be equal opportunity and equal rights among all the nations of the world.
After World War II, if worldwide Christianity, in particular Protestantism and Catholicism, had accepted True Parents as the Lord of the Second Advent, within seven years, by the year 1952, the Kingdom of God on earth could have been established. In that case, the expansion of communism would never have taken place. But because of the failure of Christianity worldwide, Father walked a wilderness course for forty years. Moses walked a forty year course to establish his national foundation, but the Lord of the Second Coming, after establishing the true family level, expanded all the way to the global and cosmic levels, paying all the necessary indemnity. Think how much persecution I had to endure these past forty years because of this family issue, history. The label on my forehead was always thief: thief of children, of wife of parent, family, nation and world. That is the view of the satanic world, but in the eyes of God, everything was being restored.
Victory over the temptation of the fall
Do you want to hear my concluding words? [Yes.] When Eve was growing up in the Garden of Eden, what was the snake there in the Garden? Was it a real snake? We know it was the archangel, but the real snake was man’s sexual organ. It was symbolically expressed in that way. The fruit of the knowledge of good and evil was the depiction of Eve’s love organ. That is why God said not to eat it. What does the snake like most in the Garden of Eden? The fruit of Eve, woman’s sexual organ! Do you understand? The fruit that makes people know what is good or evil. It is either a good descendant or an evil descendant.
Symbolically, man is carrying a snake on his body. What does a man use to seduce a woman? Money? [No.] The snake itself. What does man like? Something concave, open: a female snake’s mouth. Man’s sexual organ is like a snake’s head. This American snake is moving around in every country causing problems in the world of women. Don’t you have a snake? Every man has one. When you meet a woman more beautiful and better than your wife, doesn’t that snake attached to the center of your body start moving? All women have to consider man’s love organ as a poisonous snake, a cobra. Because of one bite from this snake the human lineage has been completely satanic for thousands of years. Once the grandparents’ relationship is destroyed because of wrong use of this snake, your entire family is broken.
Suppose you are naked and a beautiful naked woman comes and tries to touch that snake, will you accept that hand or kick her away. [Kick her away.] Kick away! Repeat it once more. [Kick away!] I wonder if you would truly kick her away. For women, particularly American women, you have to know that you are the representative of the concave form. So when this kind of snake-like stick comes, you have to make sure your door is closed. Your husband is the only one with the key to open it. Your husband’s snake head is that of the true blood lineage, so it is not poisonous. It is the representative and extension of God’s sexual organ. [Father asks Rev. Chang Shik Yang:] “When a beautiful most ideal type woman appears in front of you is your tongue split in two or not?” He has that possibility. He is at least honest, so now he is forgiven.
The same for women. When your ideal type handsome young man appears, is your door starting to open or not? [No!] You may say no because you already became a grandmother, but a young, restless, enthusiastic woman may not say no. There is always the possibility. Do you understand?
In the Garden of Eden there were the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil representing the sexual organs of Adam and Eve. When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman about the living water, he was talking about the sexual organs. If Christians truly understood this meaning they would be shocked. Because illicit love was sown in the Garden of Eden, now in the Last Days everything is being harvested through the phenomenon of free sex, homosexuality and so on. The result of the fallen sexual act in the Garden of Eden was the corruption of the lineage. There is fearful activity going on now in America. As long as the practice of free sex continues, AIDS will spread throughout the world, culminating in the extinction of the human race. So how can you embrace a stranger? When American young men and women go to a dancing party and touch their bodies to one another, does the man’s snake start moving or not? [Moving.] I don’t know. You had experience! [Moving.] It’s true. That snake head you are carrying around is more dangerous than a pack of explosives. Once it explodes, not only you but your entire family and nation will be destroyed. Is that true? American people do not know this clearly. Having heard Father’s speech you know this clearly. Take action then. Think about the crimes and sins people are committing. Not only homosexuality, but all different kinds of incest are going on. I was told once by one of our members that her nine sisters were all violated by one father. Not even animals do that. Even God would not want to spare fire and the dungeon of hell for such a person. Therefore particularly young women, when the new season comes, do you prepare new garments to attract a man or just wear something plain? What about putting on thick makeup? Many women are now putting this dead blood color on their fingernails and even toenails. Maybe some people will put such a color on their tongue and even teeth. That’s the end. They will truly become devils then, monsters. My hands are natural, not even a ring. I have a ring, but I don’t wear it. Nothing artificial.
There is no woman Unification Church member who does not like Father. Because I came as the Lord of the Second Advent, the True Parent to humankind, you love True Parents. It is natural for you to like and love me as a father, but sometimes women go beyond that level, liking me not just as a father, who want to come to an equal level, with a male-female feeling. That is no good. True Mother is there. Of course spiritually you may feel encouraged that way. In your dreams you may receive some such revelation. But you have to remember it is not as a partner, but as a father that I am offering love to you in many different shapes and forms.
I know all these secrets and truths. Therefore even if all heaven and earth were to come together and try to seduce me, I would never move an inch. No matter how beautiful a woman were to appear in front of me fully naked and try to seduce me, I would not even blink. We have to train ourselves to this level. Even if you are at the last moment of finishing your lovemaking, at the final moment you have to be able to go down to the zero point and completely stop.
I have spoken plainly, genuinely opened everything, revealed everything. There is nothing else to teach you. So the history or restoration, providence of restoration is completed. In one generation, Father’s generation, everything has been completed.
