On April 11 1999, the final day of True Mother’s speaking tour across America, Father spoke on two occasions on matters of such significance that we are including the main content from both speeches here. The following is excerpted from Rev. Peter Kim’s interpretation of Father’s five-hour speech at Belvedere in the early morning.
WHEN the fall took place in the Garden of Eden the original family ideal was lost. The unique, first family was lost. Therefore, in the Last Days, when we restore the standard of the original family where all family members will live together and the entire world will live as one family with absolute unity centering on God, that will be called the Kingdom of God on Earth and in Heaven. Our lineage will be connected with God.
There are billions of cells in the human body. As these cells are the inheritance of generation after generation, it is just as if we are the descendants of God. There is a connection of blood lineage. What is the purpose for which a man or woman consists of 40 billion cells? We have those cells because we are like a field to receive the seed of God and multiply, inheriting God’s lineage.
[Father speaks about the bloodshed in the history of the Americas, and the responsibility of the white race.] If God knows what happened in North and South America, then how could He give so much blessing to America that it became the most powerful nation in the world? Of course God wants to see His original ideal fulfilled. That is the reason, centering on Christianity, God chose this nation. But certain early leaders, who became like robbers and thieves, derailed the process.
A BRIEF LESSON IN PROVIDENTIAL HISTORY
Who do you think brought the victory to the American people and George Washington’s troops? Did Washington do it alone, or was it with God’s help? [With God’s help.] Why do you think God helped him? God had a plan to work through Protestantism in America, represented by George Washington and his troops. This is because Protestantism in America was in the position of Abel in relation to Catholicism in Europe. God sided with America to restore Catholicism and to remove the false monarchies of the world, and then to help George Washington in America to build up democracy, the ideology of “brotherhoodism.” But before thinking about “brotherhoodism,” we have to think about “childrenism.” Then we need to talk about “husband and wife-ism,” then “parentism.”
Democracy is based on the relationship of love among brothers. As elder son, America is meant to offer love and care for those younger brother black and yellow race nations in the world. Yet America has just been focusing on “one nation under God,” on its own benefit and survival.
On the continent of Europe there were power struggles and conflicts led by dictators and characterized by brutality. God therefore turned in a different direction and tried to find a nation among oceanic countries such as England, Spain and Portugal. For a time, there were conflicts among these countries who were fighting over new territories. They went out and colonized lands such as India and South America. Eventually from among those countries God blessed Great Britain, which then in a way unified and became the leader among the oceanic nations.
If you look at the two American continents they are like large islands. God selected these continent-sized islands and chose the United States as the central nation, representing Protestantism. To the north was Canada representing Great Britain and the Anglican Church, and to the south the Spanish territories, representing Catholicism. So on the European continent as well as out on the ocean, Great Britain centered on the Anglican Church and Spain and Portugal centered on Catholicism, were fighting. Therefore, God selected these continent sized islands and brought representatives from all those fighting factions together there to unite them as one country. During the last 200 years God has brought the essence of all the religions and faiths on the European continent and had them settle here in America. God had a purpose in doing so. He wanted to bring these different cultures, religions and faiths to America and unite them here. If that had been accomplished, don’t you think the American continent could have been unified and become one nation? This would have represented uniting half the earth. Would Americans still have said “one nation under God”? What do you think they should say? [“One half-world under God.”] If everyone had lived in that spirit, don’t you think the North and South American continents could have been unified?
There has always been conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism. But God must bring them together. When God brought all that good essence from the European continent and implanted it here, uniting all those different nations, cultures and civilizations, if they had lived here in the spirit of one world under God, these two continents would have had the capacity to feed the entire world. If we fully utilize this beautiful hemisphere, produce enough food and materials and then extend our hands to the rest of the world, don’t you think the entire world can be unified? God’s ideal is to see one world under God. Had America had that kind of attitude and spirit, don’t you think America could have united the entire world? But instead, Americans brought our black brothers and sisters to this country and used them as their slaves. Was that right? [No!] After having perpetrated evil to that degree, do you think God would still bless this country and expect it to do God’s will, or would He give America a strong punch? Looking at world history, this is the proper perspective from which to answer the fundamental questions it poses.
THE MISSION OF THE UNITED STATES
God’s original plan for America was that it become the elder son nation, uniting all those sea-faring nations and playing the role of elderson to the entire world. But America has instead become self-interested. When God looks at America, do you think He expects this nation to flourish and prosper? If you are just centered on extreme selfish individualism you lose everything beyond that-familyism, societyism, nationism, worldism, even Godism. Everything breaks down completely. The world becomes a place with no hope in sight. Who created individualism here in America? Satan, the enemy of the ideal of God, humankind and all creation.
God can see that there is no way for humankind to survive without help. That is why God sent Reverend Moon as the True Parent. Do you think I came to America to rob this country? On the contrary, I am feeding America, giving life back to the American people. Since coming here I have been teaching you not to become indebted to America. You have to be self-sufficient and independent. Beyond that you have to reach out to and save the entire world.
In the early days I proclaimed that America was on fire and in need of a firefighter to come not from within your house but from somewhere else. I said that America was in deep trouble, with a fatal disease and in need of a medical doctor who could not come from within your own family, but must instead come from the hospital. I came as. the firefighter to extinguish the fire and to save this people who are sick with a fatal disease. I took hold of all 240 million American people and admonished them to repent. With whose power do you think I did this? [God’s!]
In terms of sheer physical strength Mother is weaker than Father. Yet I sent Mother on a nationwide speaking tour in this country. Wherever she went she was in the position of commander. It does not matter what level of VIP came, Mother was always in the position of subject. Sometimes she even scolded and strictly educated them, but everyone obeyed and fell in love with Mother. What if Reverend Moon himself were to go around America doing all these things? Do you think those who have opposed me in the past would come forward and greet me or would they hide somewhere?
[Hide.] Yes, some of them would hide themselves away. But when Mother comes they feel a little bit more at ease, saying, “Well, Reverend Moon is a very controversial figure, but let’s go and see what kind of person his wife is.” Then they find she is very beautiful and very good. Since Reverend Moon is now almost 80, and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon has given birth to thirteen children and has more than 20 grandchildren, many must have expected to see Mother coming out on stage with a cane and a wrinkled face. But when they see Mother so young and beautiful taking the stage, they are in total shock.
Mother is great because she has a mother’s love for all humanity-she is an Oriental mother who can love and embrace all 6 billion people of the world. Do you think I am treating her properly or improperly? You western women are more stubborn and more opinionated than oriental women. You have stronger guts than other women in the world. Isn’t that true? How can this strength be used for a great purpose and to bring about a great result? Guided by True Father, will these strong American women bring a great result or a bad result? A greater result than mine. American women have great courage. (Father speaks in English for a few sentences. Peter Kim summarizes: Father sees American women as having strong guts, even stronger than Mother. If Father gives you instructions and you can obey them completely, he can work with you for the sake of the entire world. Can you have hope to do that? [Yes!])
Coming as the True Parent and Lord of the Second Advent to all humankind immediately after World War II, I wanted to mobilize the power of Anglo-Saxon Britain, a nation headed by a queen, but the British and American people, centering on Christianity, stood against me. I therefore selected another nation, Japan.
In following Father, Japanese women have surmounted all levels of obstacles, from the individual to the world. There-fore, it is natural that they be in the position to educate American women. In the past, the proud western women might have thought they were in the position of queen and looked down upon Japanese women. But now the Japanese sisters have come here in the position of elder sisters, so western sisters should take the position of receiving education and become humble. You might have been in the relationship of enemies in the past, but you have to get rid of that feeling.
If we compare those purely Japanese couples who came here from Japan and live in America with white American couples, which are stronger in life of faith and spirituality and closer to God? [The Japanese.] Are you American sisters ready to follow the Japanese families residing in America? What position does Japan have in God’s providence? [The mother position.]
American sisters or blessed couples may say, for example, “We are doing as much as the Japanese couples and families are doing.” But let’s look at just one practical point. The Japanese couples are not rich, they are just getting by, one day at a time, but they save money in every possible way so they can make a donation every month. American blessed couples, however, have the tendency to say, “Why should I give money every month? I want to use it for my own sake for this and that … ” I requested that the American members offer a substantial sum for the sake of America, your country. Do the American members contribute to this fund? You American members should mobilize the American people and support this offering. You should not be indebted to Japan and the Japanese people. America should do three times more than the Japanese. America has received financial support for projects such as The Washington Times. In turn it should come up with more than the amount it has received.
Many different religions are now coming to True Parents to be united and to solve the problems of youth, the family, and the nation and to rebuild them. Everyone needs the words, “True Parents.” The individual needs True Parents, the family, tribe, nation world and cosmos need True Parents. Even God needs True Parents. Reverend Moon needs True Parents too. Everyone and everything wants True Parents, who alone are connected to God’s blood lineage.
God’s tradition and lineage were lost through the fall, so without re-establishing that connection we cannot stand as real sons and daughters of God. The connecting point for the lineage is the father-son relationship. Why were Adam and Eve chased out after the fall? It was because of the mistake made in the lineage. If parents have God’s lineage, don’t you think the children are in the position to follow their parents thinking, way of doing things and whatever education they give?
You may have come here expecting some praise or pleasing words from me, but instead you are now receiving smears on your face. Am I saying these things for your sake or because I don’t like you? [For our sake.] Following these words will ultimately save you.
The time is different now. If at the time of the Exodus the Israelites had remained in Egypt, don’t you think they would have been killed? It is the same for us now. We are reaching a crossroads. We have to make a new determination to cross that line.
After having established enough foundation in North America I went to South America to embrace Catholicism. Because America could not fulfill its responsibility in this regard, I finally went to South America, established a foundation there and then brought this foundation and victory to the world level so that God’s providence can embrace even the original mother nation of Great Britain, Germany and other nations. But eventually I gave the blessing of elder son nation to America, because America must still extend its arms to embrace the other nations in the world. Since the United States is in the position to embrace both North and South America, we are working to bring technology to South America and develop that continent’s technology.
THE MISSION OF HOON DOK HAE
After the 360 Million Couples Blessing leaders around the world started asking for money and time to provide proper education to all those blessed couples. That is why I initiated the Hoon Dok Hae tradition. Do you know the meaning of “Hoon Dok Hae”? The first character, hoon, means the truth: God’s word is flowing like a river, becoming bigger and bigger and more powerful and influential-from a small stream, to a river, and all the way to the ocean. As a body of water, in order to reach the biggest ocean in the world do you want to do Hoon Dok Hae every day for just one hour and gradually become bigger, little by little, so that it takes perhaps a hundred years to reach the final destination? Or do you want to do Hoon Dok Hae for ten hours every day and reach the destination within a year? [Within a year!]
What is the Completed Testament Age? It means possessing the knowledge and conditions with which we can complete the building of the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. Whose father is God? Absolutely, God is our father. How wonderful is God who belongs to me! Have you had that kind of appreciation of God? Have you ever thought about grabbing God’s ears and kissing him? When you hug your spouse, have you really thought, “Oh, I am hugging God”? How enjoyable is such a deep feeling of love! How amazing! When we embrace God, the power of this kind of love emerges.
The second character, dok, consists of the word, and man. That means selling. So we have to sell the truth. Or in other words, spread it. If you cannot promote and spread the word you are committing a sin. Satan will visit where the word is not spread. Dark power will destroy you. Since you learned the Principle have you been spreading its words? [Yes.] What kind of sales pitch did you make? Like one for an expensive display in a department store, or did you just keep it in a wastebasket? What do you keep on the top of your dresser, your cosmetics or a Divine Principle book? [Divine Principle.] when you have some very good, healthy cosmetics items don’t you feel like recommending them to your friends?
So the word should flow like water in a river, and should be promoted and sold everywhere. If we are taught good words by our parents we have to be able to bequeath them to our children and they to theirs. The entire world should be full of the truth, the word of God. Then do you think Hoon Dok Hae will be welcomed only by the people on earth, or also in the spirit world? God may have a plan to implement and accomplish certain things within a hundred years, but Reverend Moon may come up with a plan to do it within ten years. That is why now I am spreading this Hoon Dok Hae tradition swiftly. Do you think God will be happy to see this, or get upset with me? [He will be happy.] That is because the Hoon Dok Hae material includes all the educational content you need to learn from to accomplish God’s will within ten years-which otherwise may take hundreds, thousands or even millions of years. Do you believe this? [Yes.]
Do you wish to read all 300 volumes of my words and study even more deeply into the meaning of my teaching?
[Yes.] Suppose I gave a prize to those who read my speech volumes the most. Some people may say they read the 300 volumes 10 times, and some 100 times. Do you want to become one of those or do you just want to sit and watch? There is one elderly woman in our movement who came to me and confessed, saying, “Father, I read all 100 volumes of your speeches. Then I realized that I have sinned so much in my life, and I realize that, Father, you know everything. How could you know all those things and offer all these different aspects of education to people? I am so amazed. Now I really know the taste of studying your word. I would rather skip eating and sleeping and read your books.”
If we want to liberate God, we have to liberate humankind first. Do you think God can witness to people? If there is a textbook teaching how to educate and witness to people, do you think God has to come down and read it for the sake of all humanity, or do we have to do it? God is the origin of this truth. Because of that God found and chose True Father through whom He has been giving these words. Now we have to take up the responsibility to do it.
Is there anyone who does not want to restore his or her country and offer that restored country to God? Those who want to do it, raise your hands! I will take your pledge as a sincere one.
America has 240 million people. Has each American per-son here today gained more than 24 spiritual children out of that 240 million? If so, are you content with it? What about 240 people? Are you content with that? [No.] What level would give you the confidence to say yes? It should be at least half the American population. In Korea and in Japan the truth and the name of True Parents are being spread widely. In Korea, for example, even the people in every small village have heard at least several times about Reverend Moon. In America there may be people who do not remember the name of their president, yet they know the name of Reverend Moon.
How TO LOVE YOUR SPOUSE
Do you wish to receive love from your spouse more than the amount of hairs on his or her head, or do you want to give more love to your spouse? [Give more.] In the husband-wife relationship, who is supposed to give more love than receive it, husband or wife? Usually in Korea when a woman marries a man we say she is going to her husband’s house to live and to receive love. If we can speak of the shape of love, something protruding is like something offering, giving, but the concave shape is more like something ready to receive. Which of the two is the woman’s shape? [Concave.] What about man’s shape. [Protruding.] Women can expect that even in the morning after they wash their face and sit down in front of the mirror, their husband will come forward and touch and caress their hips. That is why a woman’s hips are bigger than a man’s, so that the man can find them. (Laughter.)
I am giving you a serious sermon now; don’t laugh! Most women will welcome it if, when their husband comes home, he touches her body. Do you agree? As a woman you need to understand that a man is created in such a way chemically that throughout the day he will frequently have the desire to embrace or touch a woman. This is neither a bad thing nor a good thing. It does not mean that he will go after another woman. If he carries a photo of his wife, each time he feels like that he can take out her photo and look at it and feel satisfied. Discounting sleeping hours, your husband will take out your picture and look at you at least 12 to 15 times a day. After that much longing for and missing you all day long, he finally returns home with that kind of burning desire and tries to touch and embrace you. But what if your reaction is “Don’t touch me like that”? When you are sleeping in bed at night, if your husband puts his leg over you because your body is so soft, and then you immediately pick up your pillow and run into another room, is that the right attitude? Do you think your husband will be happy to see you run away? If a wife has such an intolerant attitude, rejecting and refusing her husband, he may go out and play around with other women. You wives have the responsibility to keep your husbands intact so that they cannot run away from your love.
Do you need such education as this? I am not a pastor. You are my children, my daughters, that is why I am giving this kind of education. Are you grateful or upset? [Grateful!]
Wherever you go, make sure you carry a small photo album with your husband’s portrait. If his face is not so hand-some straight on, take a picture from the side, or back, or of his hands. Every time you look at the photo you can kiss every part of your husband’s body. Even when you go to the bathroom, take it out and send your love to your husband. Suppose, because of your deep love for your husband you look at his photo ten or twelve times a day, yet that is still not enough. Then without realizing what you are doing you end up going to your husband’s company and waiting for him to come out. When he comes out after work and sees you there, will he be angry with you if he understands why you are there, or will he be happy? He will be very, very happy. Have you really tried to show that much love to your husband? You have to enjoy your married life. There is no boundary. It is not a place of denial, but of welcoming.
Do you want to give unlimited love to your husband? When God created Adam and Eve do you think He expected them, after they became mature, to make love once a month, or did God expect to be dwelling within them and that they would be making love as many times as they wanted every night? How many instances of lovemaking do you think God wanted to see between Adam and Eve as a couple? A thou-sand? [Unlimited.] Yes, that’s true, unlimited. Forever. What is there to do in the spirit world? You do not have to make money, or build automobiles or do any other work. The only thing you can enjoy is living together with your spouse! There is a boundary over which you can step and enter into the realm where God belongs. Then you can do whatever you want, freely, just like God. When you make love, have you thought about making love with all the different cells of your spouse? Eye love, ear love, nose love? If you reach that degree of love before you make love, immediately when you join together as husband and wife there is a huge explosion. Just as when hot and cold water are mixed together steam immediately comes out, that kind of explosion will occur. God will watch you and say, “That’s good!”
Humankind has not understood that everything was lost by the fall and that history has been a course or restoration until now. God’s position has been so miserable. We are working to liberate such a God. If God comes into your family, He should be in the position of the king of love for your family. If you pick up your pillow and run away in the middle of the night do you think God will be happy to come into such a family? So now you know how to invite God into your family. Even if I never repeat this kind of education again, you have to make sure you become mothers who are qualified to give proper education to your children and prepare them for their marriage.
THE PERFECTION OF MARRIAGE
We are all born for the sake of love. We have to prepare ourselves in how to send our spouse away into the spirit world. If your spouse goes there before you do, you should be able to send him with the feeling of the first love relation-ship you shared-that feeling should be planted within him, and he should be able to leave you with that kind of feeling. Such a feeling should be regenerated in you by sending him away. If your wife is passing away, at that time-at her death bed-you should be able to kiss her; you should be able to love her, and she is then sent away with that kind of feeling. During our physical life here we have to make the preparations to be able to do that.
What is the meaning of the Completed Testament Age? It is the perfection of married life. Man represents heaven and woman represents earth. So, the perfection of our love is the process of unifying heaven and earth. If you realize that degree of love as husband and wife, and your conjugal relationship is built upon such ideal love, yours will be a family in which you can find happiness, peace, love, hope and your dreams. And God will come there and dwell with you. The next generation will be the same. This will continue forever-this ideal world, the horizontal plane on which stands the vertical pillar. Man is the right hand and woman the left, creating the horizontal plane for the pillar upon which God can be King. This is the center, connecting with God’s love, eternally unchanging. That is the Kingdom of Heaven. The family is the center. The original, unfallen Adam and Eve’s family, when expanded, becomes a tribe, nation and world. The original true love seed was lost. How can that be restored? This is the principle of salvation. If you cannot establish an ideal family, everyone will be unhappy and miserable-yourself, your family, even all the animals around you. And this will make God miserable too.
You have to hang on to your spouse tightly. That is the source of your life, even in the spirit world. Your conjugal relationship with your husband or wife will be the source of your pride. Although a woman may appear to be small, in her heart there is a man. And vice versa, a man also has a woman in his heart. You cannot take him or her out of your heart. Love is the owner of your heart. Can you cheat your own conscience? [No.] So your mind naturally welcomes love the most. As a woman you go through four different stages: infancy, then sister or children’s level, daughter, then wife and mother. Your level of devotion and love as you live your life and produce your children will allow them to prosper and become your ideal descendants.
Jesus came as the ideal father for humankind. But because of the circumstances, he returned to heaven and in his place the Holy Spirit came and did her work. Heaven and earth could thus be combined. But the Holy Spirit does not have a physical body. Jesus lost his body because of the crucifixion. He has to restore it back. That is why we expect the dawn of the Second Advent. The Second Coming will rectify all the failures from the times of Adam and Jesus, and all other eras, and build the Kingdom of God on earth as well as in heaven. This signifies the completion of the Completed Testament Age.
YOUR FAMILY AS A SOURCE OF TRUE LOVE
Neither God nor Satan can build the Kingdom of God on earth. Only True Parents can do it. God could not interfere at the time of Adam and Eve’s fallen act. Similarly, the world in the Last Days may be rotten, and becoming even worse-yet God cannot directly intervene. Even Satan put his hands up in surrender when True Parents appeared and gave the bless-ing across the barriers of race, not just on this earth but also in the spirit world.
Without having God involved in your love, there is no way you can claim to be a true man or a true woman. When a true man and a true woman unite, they create a true couple. When you form a 90-degree relationship between husband and wife, and then with God, you will be able to raise such children. When your children observe your life as a couple, they should feel, “My father and mother are sharing such a beautiful and ideal life as husband and wife. I want to grow up quickly so that I can find my spouse and enjoy my life just like my moth-er and father.” Your children should feel that if God needed the pure, original seed for humankind, their mother would be the first one to be chosen; that if the king of the nation needed a pure woman to receive the seed, my mother would be qualified for that. They should feel that “my mother is so good that the country may need her, the entire world may need her, but I have my mother here just for me. How happy I am, there-fore. Even if the entire world were given to me, I would not want it in exchange for my mother.” Have you become such a father and mother? Should I leave you alone, then, or keep pushing you so that you can do better?
Jesus wanted to secure twelve disciples and eventually see twelve families come from them. What about you? Are you thinking that you want to have twelve children of your own and build ideal couples and families as God and Jesus wanted to do?
If there are ten thousand families living in your town, and one Unification Church couple moves in there, then everyone will be watching you. Even the animals and birds will pay attention to you. As a blessed couple, you have to build an exemplary family such that everyone will envy it-so that all the people will say, “I hope my grandchildren will build such a beautiful family.” Suppose that in that particular couple one is from America and one from Japan. When you move into that village, everyone might expect you to last for a few years and then separate because you are from enemy countries. But instead of doing that you live there happily for twenty or thirty years as an exemplary family. Then what do you think the neighbors and the people in your town will say about you? They may want to build a memorial to you.
If your family life is at such a level of extreme beauty, then everyone will envy you. Even passers-by will want to stay with your family. Suppose your family is practicing such a high level of love that you always serve elderly people as if they were your own grandparents. Would your village pros-per or perish? What about the nation-if every family became like that? [It would prosper.]
Because of my efforts to save America, I could not really extend my help to Korea even though Korea has been enduring an economic crisis. Suppose I had mobilized all the resources I poured into America for the sake of Korea. That country would be in a totally different situation now. Then why did I do this? For the sake of reviving Christianity.
True Parents are the essence of true love, so wherever they go, the true love axis moves. If we leave America and go somewhere else, you all feel as if America is empty. In your relationship with God and True Parents, they symbolize the vertical relationship. But as soon as they leave you, you are left with only horizontal relationships. You do not know how to set up this vertical relationship on your own. You have to mobilize your physical parents and relatives, teach them the Principle and restore them. Then you will automatically build such a vertical relationship. Once you start building a true love relationship with your parents, your children and your spiritual children, all the different directional relationships will be established-so you will not have time to feel sorry or empty at all. Do you keep the Hoon Dok Hae tradition in your family? [Yes.] Who usually initiates Hoon Dok Hae in your family? Your father, your mother, your daughter or your son? Who should be the center of setting your family tradition? The mother or the father? [The father.] Why the father? The man represents God. God always has to be in the position of owner and center.
THE CURRENT PROVIDENCE OF THE BLESSING
Beginning with the 36 couples, Unification Church blessed couples are categorized into three different types: Adam-type, Noah-type and Jacob-type. The second category is like legally married couples, and the third category is the young men and women who are not married yet. Millions and millions of these different types of people are in hell in the spirit world. So we have to liberate the spirit world. That is why I have established all different types of blessed couples. When these people who live their lives as married couples just in the legal sense go to spirit world, they find themselves separated again. Some of those people who had been married and who are now in the spirit world are like saints and prophets, and some are very evil. But I mixed them together and blessed them. That took place on June 13, 1998. After the 360 Million Couples Blessing, I opened the door to those people who are in spirit world and belong to the second category. There are billions and billions of people waiting there-now I will bring them down to the earth plane, and by having them relate with this plane, give them the blessing. The basic condition they must establish is to help the Unification Church members.
Just prior to my departure from Korea last time, I gave permission to the spiritual world-physical world couples to do the 3-day ceremony. Through this, the spirit world and physical world can become one. The husband and wife can travel back and forth freely. This is possible because the level of 400 million couples has been reached.
The only category remaining is the unmarried young men and women. In the spirit world, those who died in their infancy or at a young age and have remained in the spirit world until at least sixteen years of age are the ones who will receive the blessing this time. In two days’ time, that blessing ceremony will take place. There will be 1.6 billion couples. This will multiply to ten times and twenty times in the future. [1.6 billion couples were indeed blessed in the spirit world on April 13, 1999-Editor] Once this blessing takes place these 1.6 billion young spirit couples will be sent down to earth and they will work with all the young men and women throughout the fallen world and help them to receive the blessing.
I also gave instructions to Chung Pyung Training Center to carry out ancestor liberation for the seven generations above us, and subsequently stretching back to even 120 generations and 180 generations. In so doing, all humankind, including those in the spirit world, will be blessed.
Once we accomplish the blessing of 400 million couples, we will enter the era of the fourth Adam. When the spirit world is filled with blessed couples, hell will not be able to exist. (Applause) That is why, at the time of the Madison Square Garden blessing, I gave the blessing to the saints and sages at the same time as to killers, murderers and robbers. Because of the blessing of the spirit world now, there is no separation between the two worlds.
With the authority of perfected Adam, I opened the gates of hell and chased Satan out of the spirit world. At the beginning time, Satan connected to our first ancestors, Adam and Eve. The worst parents thus appeared. Originally, God’s lineage should have connected to the perfection-age Adam’s family. From there, the lineage would have expanded to embrace the tribe, the nation and the cosmic realm, the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. That’s the Principle viewpoint. When True Parents appeared, Satan’s power was eliminated completely. How can Satan’s root be eliminated? True marriage. The cosmic expansion of the true blessing and the rooting out of Satan’s blood lineage. Who can do that? God can-not do that. Satan cannot do that. The time of the Second Advent will bring the perfected Adam, who represents God’s side. The false parents built an upside-down family.
True Parents are the opposite way-the original way. This is the starting point for connecting with God’s lineage-starting from the family, and expanding to the tribe, nation, and world. The physical and spiritual worlds. For the original people of God, there is only one nation on earth, not two. One culture, background and country. This is Adam’s ideal world-directly connected to God’s blood lineage. All people will connect to God’s blood lineage through the blessing. All resemble God’s next generation, and have that value. This is the equalization of value, centering on God. Everyone can go into the Kingdom of Heaven. Who can accomplish restoration? True Parents. Satan cannot win over me. He will bow down. Our worldwide foundation of heavenly citizens will connect with the spiritual realm and achieve the completion of unification.
As a woman, you are in the position of mother. So every woman should be able to give lectures. You have to have a different presentation for a one evening lecture, three evenings, one week-all different levels. If we train someone for six months to be a lecturer, she can go anywhere in the world and give Principle lectures. Hoon Dok Hae is the next stage. In Korea, I am utilizing woman power. Centering on Mrs. Gil Ja Sa Eu I am training 1,200 women. They will be sent out to Japan and other countries.
You just have to read the Divine Principle book with a tearful heart. When you read the Divine Principle book or the Hoon Dok Hae books with tears for your parents, do you think people will dislike it?
Eventually, those 400 million couples whom we find will be the central force to unite the entire world, including the spirit world.
One family represents three generations-the grandparents’ couple, the parents’ couple and the children’s couple. God could not meet those three generations. God’s side doesn’t have those three generations, which were taken by Satan with Adam’s family. In this time True Parents are giving the blessing. Then the three generations are restored and combined representing Adam’s family, Jesus’ family and the Second Adam’s family. Satan used strong power, a hammer, to hit those three generations. Using that power hammer he broke everything down. But through absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, Satan’s world will be completely wiped away. After that God will have no problem gaining control. This is the Principle viewpoint. All the problems, barriers in the physical and spiritual worlds can be cleared away.
Sixteen billion people in the spirit world have been blessed and mobilized-altogether 36 billion couples have been mobilized in the spirit world. About 2 billion couples have been mobilized to help us here. They are moving back and forth freely. When they come down to our level, if there is an evil force within us, they will eliminate it so that we can find the right direction. At present I am in the process of cleaning up the entire spirit world so that there will not be a single person left who has not received the blessing. Right now, our goal is 400 million couples.
The completion of the building of the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven will be achieved through the perfection of the marriage blessing. Once the blessing of 1.6 billion couples is accomplished in the spirit world, they will be totally mobilized to help people in this physical world to complete the 400 million couples blessing this year-our goal. Do you think it is a possible task, or an impossible task? [Possible!] God is marching with us. He is working on the earth and He has great power. He can do anything. The problem on earth is that your concepts stand in opposition to God’s viewpoint. You don’t have that kind of victorious perspective. Father is the only one who believes.
WHAT WE MUST ACCOMPLISH
As blessed couples in this critical time period, if you cannot fulfill your responsibility you will have to face grave consequences. Even if you have to sell everything you have, you should do so. Your house, your land, your assets, nothing belongs to you. They ultimately belong to God. Have you heard of the total living sacrificial offering? Nothing is to be held back. That has been my life all these years. As the True Parent, I realize that my children are ignorant. They do not know what to do. So I shed all these tears and sweat all these years by myself.
Do you think God can liberate hell? The cause was the false Adam, the false parent figure for humankind. Therefore, only when the True Parents appear do they have the right to convert hell into heaven. This is the unique, patented power of True Parents. So is this now the time of the liberation of the spirit world, or not? [Yes.] Once the spirit world is liberated, the spirits have the responsibility to restore their descendants all the way back to Adam. So they will come down and eliminate all these evil forces from us.
Once we become true, ideal blessed couples, when we look at even this physical world, it will be filled with ideal families. Up in the spirit world, there will be all the ideal blessed couples. Then where can Satan find his place? Nowhere. Youth problems, family problems, and the unification of the Korean peninsula will all find their solutions in our teachings.
Blessed couples are not yet qualified to be claimed as blessed couples. That is why I am bringing all of you to Jardim international education headquarters, educating you and giving you a special privilege, a special seal as heavenly blessed couples. If we neglect our mission, sooner or later, ordinary Christians and others will stand in front of you and do your work-the 400 million couples blessing-and they will take your position. That is why I am encouraging you to bring your entire family to Jardim and go through this special education, and so secure your position and your authority there. The sooner the better. [Amen!] If you do not listen to me now, I cannot take responsibility. So I am now declaring that the time has come for the completion of the Kingdom of God on earth as well as in heaven. The consummation of the Completed Testament Age is here. (Applause) As blessed couples, we have to understand that we must all be united, become one family and build the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. We must work together to liberate the lamenting heart of God, and save all humankind.
What a privilege you have! You can establish true parents in your family. That means representing True Parents’ family and being blessed with the same value. This means that God can guide all the world’s families. True Parents have brought all things back into God’s possession and control.
So today is an important day. This is the last day of True Mother’s 24-city speaking tour. There are only a few months left before my eightieth birthday. During this time, I will keep focusing on unifying the North American and South American continents through the unification of Christianity. Don’t you think that True Parents’ ancestors, and the ancestors of the Korean people, want and expect True Parents to return and help Korea prosper, and also advance the reunification of Korea? [Yes.] Everyone in Korea, whether North or South, believes that Reverend Moon can provide a solution for the peninsula’s division. They say, “Well, Reverend Moon, you have reached eighty years of age. That is old enough. It is time for you to return to your homeland.” So by staying away, do you think I am a symbol of failure or a victor? [Victor!] As a victor, therefore, I must bring this victorious foundation to Korea and offer it to the Korean ancestors and my own ancestors.
From that point on, therefore, we can expand the victorious foundation to the worldwide level. To accomplish this, once I return to Korea I may never leave Korea again. The time may soon come when I bring all my children to either Korea or South America and live there. You are in the position of elder son now. Originally America, along with world Christianity, was on the front line in opposing me in the 1940s. But now, as Elder-son nation, America should take the initiative, and stand on the front line to restore Christianity so that it can support and follow True Parents. Compared with the earlier years of Christian opposition, we now have greater power to restore this nation, and to restore Christianity for the sake of God and humanity. As Elder-son nation, can we do it? [Yes!] America’s prosperity and blessing did not come just because of the American people. You received German brothers, British brothers, Japanese brothers. The resources from all over the world came here and built this foundation, so that you are now sitting on this pedestal. You therefore have to give something in return.
