Father speech during celebration of True Parents’ Birthday held on February 21, 1999
The purpose of true lo e is to bring about the perfection of this world, from the individual to the family up to the cosmos and God. True love is the way. But who is going to liberate true love? This is the big question.
God’s motivation in creating was love itself. Then how can we realize love? Everything has to become one. Everything becomes one and embraces God, embracing all of humankind. That is the accomplishment of love.
In your family, as you attend your parents and are faithful sons and daughters, as you love your brothers and sisters and love your children, and as your children love you, their parents, this becomes a completed family, a perfected family. That is love. And this love expands outward to the entire cosmos.
What is the motto for this year? “The Cosmic Expansion of the True Blessing and the Rooting Out of Satan’s Blood Lineage.” Blessing is blessing, but we need true blessing. How can we accomplish that? Is the love of God liberated if that occurs? What do you think? Can you feel that realm of liberation? The reality of love was cut off, so the “up-down” and “left-right” relationships have to be restored. Even if God’s will is realized on earth and we have the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, we still have to create the complete Kingdom of God. We must absolutely accomplish this on earth. If there is even just a little love remaining, could anyone suffering in hell under the dominion of Satan be forgotten?
Then how can we completely liberate God, and how can we truly be filial sons and daughters in such a situation? Can God just come and say, “I wish to have some filial sons”? How can we be faithful sons and daughters before God and True Parents? Can subject and object become completely one through love? How can we have an environment in which we can be completely happy and in which we can see the perfection of the ideal? When can we experience such a time and place? When can the absolute God, as the Father with His sons and daughters, receive the filial piety of His children? How can we actually establish the way of filial children and of liberation, the way of the original world?
CAN YOU REALIZE THE IDEAL OF ONENESS?
In your families you are working to establish the Kingdom of God. We have to actually liberate love itself. If we think about God, can we bring everything together and liberate love? We still carry the traces of that which Satan made impure in the creation. How can God and all of humanity for-get what has happened in the past? It is God’s greatest hope to truly be rid of all that and be one with His sons and daughters. Have you been filial sons and daughters in your families? If there had been no fall following the creation, we would all have already reached the ideal and could have realized our purpose in life. But when are we going to become such people? Can you do it in ten years? Or will it take you a thousand years in the spirit world? How and when will you realize your true self? This is a very serious question.
Now you are alive-but are you in a liberated position in relation to God, and can you liberate love? Can you be filial children, as objects before the subject? Can you be patriots and saints? Are you going to leave that kind of legacy to your children or not? Can you really do it? Are you being filial children to your parents and patriots to your people? [Yes!] You are saying yes, but what kind of relationship do you have with your children? Parents and children are one generation apart. Until you become one, what is your relationship going to be? Are you going to have a vertical relationship? The parent-child relationship is a vertical or “up-down” one. You have the first and second generation and then they begin to spread out horizontally. If the two generations become one they merge together like two drops of water. Then are you going to stand in a horizontal line-or what? Have you thought about what position you could be in? Will it be possible or not for you to become one with your parents? Do you fight a lot? If you are fighting, how can you unite? If your mind and body are fighting how can you bring them into oneness? Your mind tells you not to do something but then you do it. If you only breathe out you will die. You have to both breathe in and breathe out, in balance. There is a kind of wavering motion and then you find the middle line. You need absolute mind and body unity. What is the basis for that? Is it determination? No, it is love; true love.
True love cannot change. It should be absolutely unique and unchanging. People are not absolute. They go back and forth. But God is unique and unchanging. So the parent and child must become one. When you form a vertical relation-ship, if you connect with the vertical line of God, this will be absolute and for eternity. Isn’t that right? God will be there vertically, eternally.
All the laws of nature are absolute. God created all those laws. His motivation for making everything was true love. Even as billions and billions of years pass, God is not even one second off schedule. Do you think God can meet with all the people in the fallen world? [Yes.] Well then, is God already liberated? No. The spirit world will last eternally but God cannot meet those who are in the spirit world unless they are restored. This is the problem.
What is the method by which to make mind and body one? As for the body, it thinks only about itself; and the mind also. So they will never become one. If the mind only thinks of itself and the body only of itself, they cannot become one. Eternally, we can never become one in this situation. Then what do we have to do? We have to go in a 180 degree opposite direction to accomplish this. Since we cannot do things horizontally then we must move vertically. What is this opposite way that we should go? If I think only about my body and about myself I cannot become one with my mind. The mind and body must be able to have a give-and-take relation-ship. Then there is a way for them to become one. The problems of the world basically start from the self. Because people are not perfect everyone carries the germ known as Satan. This causes everyone to think he himself is the most important. Everyone thinks he is the best and wants to go to the top. But if you truly have wisdom you think, Let me go down to the bottom. You have to be able to go the opposite way. This is what Reverend Moon has been doing.
Each of you think you are the most important, don’t you? Do men think men are more important or women? Men think they are most important and that women are just accessories, and women think they are important and that men are just accessories. Then couples think children are just accessories too. This is a real problem. It is because we are thinking centered on ourselves. Then no one can be happy and we cannot be liberated. Nothing is achieved that way.
Then what is a good person? A good person is someone who says, “I will help this person; I will help that person.” He is a person who lives for others and helps others throughout his life. He goes beyond east and west, beyond race and tradition and helps people. But you are all living for yourselves, aren’t you? Then you are not good people! If I live for others, wouldn’t I end up being a beggar? If I give myself to the world everything is ultimately returned.
If we talk about liberating love itself, or liberating God, what does it mean? What do we mean by liberation? How can we accomplish that? Does love really exist? If love exists, then it has to have give and take. It has to have movement. Simply put, everything is going back and forth. All our cells are breathing-we can breathe and can hear ourselves breathing. Our hearts are also beating. Can you feel your pulse? Feel it; it never rests; it keeps going, but year after year we do not even think about it. The earth also “breathes.” There is so much atmospheric pressure on each one square centimeter, but because it is even and equalized, we cannot really feel it. But if that pressure were removed, we would all burst.
You have love, don’t you? Do you have life? And you have lineage, don’t you? Do you have these things? Do you feel them? Why can’t you feel them? Because you are one with them.
IF YOU CAN LOVE FOR A HIGHER PURPOSE …
However beautiful a girl may be, if she is alone she cannot create love. Life cannot begin by itself, and lineage cannot initiate itself. A woman must appear before a man. Even if an ugly woman comes before a man, if she begins caressing him and wanting to love him, then his eyes, nose, mouth-all of him-start feeling the movement of love. The blood begins to boil, he hears sound, and then lightning strikes. What happens when the eyes of a man and woman meet does not happen between men. If the spirit of a woman is attached to a man, then maybe such a feeling can arise, but normally it is when a man and a woman come together that these feelings arise.
A wife who is truly in love could die for her husband, and a husband who is truly in love could die for his wife, offering their lives a hundred times, or a thousand times. If you can do that for your children, then you are true parents. If you can do that for your brothers and sisters, then you are a true person.
If a person is willing to die for all his brothers and sisters, how do we think of him? 1f a younger brother is willing to die for all his brothers and sisters, then he is the best among them and their savior. One who is willing to really commit his life like that is the one who is true. The beginning of the family is the couple, the parents. Those of you who are blessed couples, please raise your hands. What do we have in a family? There are parents, or the couple, and the children, brothers and sisters. In order to be parents you have to first be a couple. A man and a woman pass through a child stage, a brother and sister stage, and a couple stage; then they become parents. Adam and Eve were children, and brother and sister. They grew up and were to marry. All people experience this period of childhood, then later become couples and parents. The most valuable thing that parents want to leave to their children is the best period of childhood, the best period of being brother and sister, their best time as a couple and their best period as parents.
On the level of a nation or the whole world, there are so many children, brothers and sisters, couples and parents. Both large and small nations are patterned after the family. The family is the basic training ground for the nation. The ideal family is to train the individual. When we have hundreds of millions of families, these families are the training ground for the- nation. The person who wants to give everything for the whole is a good person. One who lives only for his family is not considered a patriot. He can be a filial son to his family, but to become a patriot for the nation he would have to act on the national level. To become a patriot you have to be able to invest your entire family for the sake of the nation. The family that invests all its members happily for the sake of the nation and the world is a model family and becomes the subject and an example for other families. But you do not understand that: you are working for companies and your attitude is just to receive their support for your families.
So, are you going to become people who are loyal to the nation or only to your family? Are you going to dedicate your family to your nation or just to yourself? You have to truly unite everyone together. You have to represent the grand-mothers and grandfathers and you have to represent God. To be able to do that you have to love and become a filial son. Then everyone-God, the grandparents and everyone else you are living for will be concerned about you. But if you live only for yourself or your own family, then you are an arrogant person who can be cast into hell. You do not know about the spirit world. Do you want to know about it?
The individual has to sacrifice himself for his family. Then the family has to sacrifice for the nation. Are you going to offer your children as a sacrifice-your mother, and even your grandparents as sacrifices for the nation? Will you even offer your ancestors as sacrifices? Who is going to do that?
[We are!] And until when? God will help you. You need to have a family like Noah’s. If you live this way, God will breathe you in. If you live like that, then the entire cosmos will be behind you.
The person who lives the most for others becomes the center. Until now, Reverend Moon has lived for the world, though Satan constantly tries to attack me and drive me out.
If all those who have sacrificed for God say, “We want to hear the sound of a drum,” then God will beat a drum for you!
Has the world opposed me or not? You opposed me too at times, didn’t you? Is there anyone who did not oppose me? Raise your hand; I will give you a prize. Isn’t there anyone?
EVERYTHING MUST HAVE AN OBJECT AND THERE MUST BE A BALANCE
True love is something given, not taken. What are we going to do? You have received my love. Are you going to repay it ten-fold or a hundred-fold? If you are going to work and love ten times more than me, then you can go on top of my head. If we loved each other to the extent that we even wanted others to go ahead of us or above us, that would truly be the realm of love. What would happen to love then? Love itself would be elevated. If you can say, “I am the king of love,” will God say, “No, that is wrong”? Are you going to reach the level of God? If you could love even more than God, would He curse you or praise you? How wonderful it is to work and suffer in order to liberate God.
From one viewpoint this is my eightieth birthday. (Father refers to a diagram in mentioning the numerology of 1999. We could not reproduce this content- Editor) So this year: the completion of formation, completion of growth and completion of perfection. That establishes the elder son’s realm. It is the number of liberation of the realm of the elder brother, of parents and of God. That means everything has been accomplished.
Thus, people who are at the top will go to the bottom and have to create the foundation for the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. This year, all manner of fruit will be harvested. We are going to liberate God and liberate love itself. We must therefore become kings of absolutely living for others. We must have absolute love. We must connect “absolute” and “unique” and all such words. If we have absolute love, absolute faith and absolute obedience we can begin to liberate God and liberate love. Would it be better to be with God working or dancing?
[Dancing!] But don’t you like to work? Dancing must be done by two people. If you sing or dance on your own people might think you are crazy. So dancing requires an object. Man needs a woman and woman needs a man. Songs need people to listen to them. Happiness needs an object too. Is that true or not?
When people dance, does a man want to dance with another man or with a woman? [With a woman.] Who made it that way? Who said to do it that way? That is just the public principle. It is the normal way. A man needs a woman and a woman needs a man. So people need each other; isn’t it true? If you want to dance you absolutely need an object to do it with, and if you sing you need an object. Will it be a grandmother with her grandson, or a grandmother and grandfather together? You need a balanced object. Not all men and women are right together. They have to be able to balance each other. In this world, during this era when every-one theorizes about relationships, all relationships-parents relationships, couples relationships, brothers relationships, political and economic relationships-must be balanced. We have to create balance and achieve a horizontal line. In the diplomatic world, who is the one who wins? It is the person who can balance things, even if he has to go back and forth ten times. The laws moving the universe are all operating in the sphere of diplomatic relations. Does the right eye exist for itself or for the left eye? They have to balance. If the right side of the nose is blocked does the left just exist for itself? Or do the nostrils exist to support each other? Everything has to balance and reach a level plane, then a center can emerge.
When we build a house we work with horizontal and vertical lines, and 90-degree angles are created. We need the vertical and the horizontal, at 90 degrees to each other. If all relationships between grandfather and grandmother, parents and grandchildren are at 90 degrees, then everything works out. Create 90-degree angles. Then everything will match. If everyone is at 45 degrees, everyone can work together because all of their angles are similar. But 90 degrees is needed for completion. Your mind must be vertical, the body is horizontal. And these two must connect. When the horizontal is matched to the vertical it creates a 90-degree angle. The 90-degree angle is absolute. The mind, which is connected to Heavenly Father, is vertical. Adam and Eve, who had not fallen, were to be God’s horizontal object. God, who is vertical, and the horizontal parents, the unfallen Adam and Eve, meet at a 90-degree angle. So we have “above, middle and below,” and “left, center and right.” “Before and after” also have to center on the 90-degree angle. All have to pass through that one central point at a 90-degree angle.
A family is made up of parents and children, a couple, and brothers and sisters. If they all surround that central point, the parents and child, the couple, and the brothers and sisters, create such relationships. If we balance north, south, east and west we find the center point and 90-degree angles. A father and mother cannot do just what they want.
WHAT IS OUR TRUE MOTIVATION?
So we are saying “Let’s Liberate Love Itself.” How difficult this is to contemplate. Parents loving their children, husbands loving their wives; everything is all tangled together. Love has been so complicated. You all have love, you all have life, but you did not know that. Life and love cannot happen through knowledge or power. Can life and love explode like that? A man and woman must become one, and that creates the lineage connecting everything together. Then life begins to be mixed and to boil and the seed comes. We have man’s life and a woman’s life and they meet and they contain the lite of a man and the life of a woman.
People in the Unification Church are seeking the love of God and want to surrender to it. Have you really done that? Why are you so quiet? If you have not, then please admit it!
What is our goal? It is love. Can you say, “I am going to love”? Are you going to do it for the sake of giving love or receiving love? When Korean people marry, do they have the intention of receiving love or giving love? They usually marry to receive love. If you say you are going to give love, then you will be okay. If a mother-in-law feels sad that her son is being taken away, and that his wife is just stealing him and keeping him to herself, will things be good or bad? Lightning bolts will fly! A wife should be aiming to love her husband’s younger brother and mother as well as her husband. The son on the right and his wife on the left should really support the parents, like the right and left hand. If the wife keeps the husband to herself for a hundred days the mother-in-law is not going to like it, and their ancestors will be angry. If you get married, you have to do so for the sake of giving love. You can then become the leader of that home. But if you go there to receive love you will be kicked out. Do you understand? Women need to receive love, but if they want to receive love they have to give love. Which is better, to give and then receive, or to give but not receive? If you give and do not receive it is even better. Then you will be blessed in heaven.
In the Unification Church, do you receive the blessing in order to receive love or to give love? You have to go to really be the center. If you go out to lunch with your friends, and say you left your wallet or you do not have any money and cannot pay, are you going to have good friends? What about the friend who always pays; he becomes a good friend. What I am teaching you is correct. If I scold you, you lower your eyes; that means you have a conscience. Do you really have confidence to live according to your conscience?
In the morning, if you are at the table and angry and upset, can you pray? Prof. Yoon prays very well, but if I tell him to pray in such a situation, he cannot. You have to know how to receive a scolding. Then you can find real blessing. You have to learn how to be scolded. If your grandfather scolds you and you can accept it, you can become a person who can receive that grandfather’s inheritance. Now that I am eighty years old I am a grandfather, not a young man anymore.
Were you born in order to give or to receive love? Are we happier giving rice to someone else or receiving it? Is it more important to give love or to receive it? You know the answer. If you go around in a circle 360 degrees you are already going upward. You go upward in a spiral if you do that. God is at the top. But if you pass through God’s chin and up through his face, and on up through the top of His head into God’s hair, then what will happen? Will God tell you to get out or to stay there? Doesn’t God need love? God does not want you to run away. He wants you to stay.
THE VALUE OF FOLLOWING TRUE PARENTS
One time when Mother went on a world tour I gave her a little ring. I gave it to her but she gave it away. I do not know who she gave it to. I learned that Mother’s love is much more important than a diamond. Mother had many dresses and other things and felt that she wanted to give them to some of the Japanese wives, so I said, If you want to give one go ahead. So she gave over a hundred dresses away. In the future we should have a museum that will display and record everything of Mother’s. But anyone who acquires such a thing must keep it very safe. Could we exchange anything for Mother? Mother’s bones are more precious than anything. Mother’s grave site is more precious than any place in the world. These things cannot be exchanged for anything. So those who received those dresses must keep them as precious heirlooms for their descendants in Japan.
Who is the lord of love? Do you want to know? Who is the lord of mother’s love? Of husband’s love? Of son’s love? God? I don’t know! What is the root of love? With just the subject, love can never be found.
Those who have been engaged and blessed by me, raise your hands. There are many. Are your husbands and wives okay? If there is anyone who is really opposed to their match, stand up now and I will fix it for you! For the first three years there may be difficulty, but when you have children, they are more beautiful than you, aren’t they? We have the formation, growth and perfection stages to go through; you have to pass through these stages in the first three years. Are your children all attractive? They are smart, aren’t they? Are they more handsome and beautiful than their father and mother? As the second, third and fourth generations come, the blessings will come. As the seed becomes purer, then the children will be more beautiful.
This eighty-year-old man has brought together so many couples in marriage. What good is that for me? Am I getting rich? Most of you just marry and then run away and live your own lives, forgetting about me. The real Lord of your marriages is God. That is important. I am happy to have done this for you.
Many are asking where I am going and want to be with me. The course of restoration has been very difficult. The Lord of the Second Advent came to liberate women. Women have been in such an unfortunate and difficult position. Throughout my course, I have tried to enable you to realize your potential as good mothers and wives. Because of that you like me, and even if I scold and insult you, you want to come back and be with me. In the past, so many people met opposition at home because they followed me, but still they wanted to follow. In the early days there was a midnight cur-few, so people could not go home. But it was safe because we were brothers and sisters together. Even students would often come to hear my teachings, but they would worry when they had a test to take in school. If we were to have told them what pages to study for their exams, it would not have been the right standard for having them follow us. But if they studied hard for the sake of the nation then God could help them with their studies and they would do well. No one will experience loss in life by following me. You will certainly be better than average.
Some professors or others who thought they were important people-who followed me would leave, but would end up in tears and wanting to come back. They should have stayed with me and then gone out to the world and become leaders in society.
BECOMING THE LORDS OF LOVE WHO CAN LIBERATE Goo
Don’t you want to know who the lords of love are? Love cannot happen without an object, so the lords of love are the sons and daughters of God who love Him. Someone without sons and daughters, without children to love, can never find complete love. The child himself is the one who enables the parents to have love for children. So the lord or owner of the mother’s love is the child, who makes it possible for the mother to love. In Korea the woman is called the lord of the inner house and the man the lord of the outside. But the wife becomes lord of the inner house through the husband. Women who do not understand that live on their own. The lord of the outside, the husband, cannot become the lord or the husband without the wife. So the love and position of husband and wife do not stem from themselves but from each other. Without that heart of love, if they go out and share love elsewhere, they are cutting off their love and their capacity to be the lord.
I can love God because He loves me, and He can love me because I love Him. Husband and wife are the same. Anyone who loves separate from God finds himself in hell. In this eightieth year of my life we are trying to complete the full 360-degree circle and return to the Garden of Eden. We are trying to restore the Garden of Eden and become lords of love, trying to truly settle everything and return from the world of hell to the world of heaven for eternity. One man and one woman-we must understand how important they are. Through that one brother and sister the love of God was lost. They drew together like brother and sister as the external form of God’s love to enable God to have love. They were like the lords of God’s love, and through their love when they married God would have been able to experience that love. But they separated. Because they were not able to fulfill their responsibility, God was not able to have the love that Adam and Eve should have shared as brother and sister, as children, as husband and wife, as parents. The love of children, the love of parents, the parents’ love position … God could not experience that position of love as a parent.
Why are orphans considered pitiful? Because they do not have parents. They are so pitiful not having parents because they are not in a position where they can learn brother and sister’s love, parents’ love and couple love, and go on to inherit all those. You cannot think that you do not need older and younger brothers and sisters. You need all of them. East, west, north and south: you have to find the lords of love for you. In the future we will have the age of babies, and of children, and we have to sow love before the lord. I cannot help but love in place of God. We have to live for the sake of others. By living for others we can receive love. Through us, God can love and we can become the lords of love in relation to God. We can become the lords of the love between brothers and sisters, couples’ love and parents’ love. Then God can find joy and have a place where He can settle. This is such an amazing thing. Adam and Eve should have done this. Adam and Eve were the only children of God and everything went into hell because of their fall. Everyone was lost. There was no lord of love. All the love of children, brothers and sisters, couples and parents came under the dominion of Satan. A difficult course requiring thousands of years was undertaken in order to restore humankind back to the point at which God originally lost everything. How God has been longing for this! God is working through the liberation of humankind which is also His own liberation.
In order to truly liberate the sorrow of God I have to accomplish this. I have to liberate my family in order to liberate God. I do not have my own hope; I should not have my own ideas. I should have absolute faith and obedience. If God needs me to die I should be willing to do so. In that sense we can finally liberate God and take everything back. We have to liberate God and allow Him to embrace everything.
Centered on God we have to love our family, the nation and the world, then stand in the place of God and love everything. We must realize the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven. We must completely realize the ideal of love, going beyond the universe and into the cosmos. Then God will be liberated. Without this, God cannot be liberated. Even now I am shedding tears together with God and shedding tears for God, saying, I could not finish everything; I do not yet have a nation. There are America, Germany and Korea-all those nations. But all of them are lost. They do not know about the spirit world, and they do not know that I am in a position of authority. We must all be connected. You have to connect with me and with the Kingdom. Japan is just one branch and America is one branch. We have to head for the liberation of the universe. We have to establish the central standard and unite everything with it. Do you understand?
LOVE, FAMILY AND DESCENDANTS
You must be filial children to your parents. You have to be someone who can become the lord of love in relation to your elder brothers and sisters. Then you become filial children. You should be able to love your younger brothers and sisters, representing your mother or your father. That is a filial child. That is the person who can inherit from the parents and who can be the front line person your parents will send out. The one that is a filial son or daughter is the one who is sent out to represent the parents. No child is born because of itself.
Everyone who is blessed must now liberate 120 generations of their ancestors. Now people whose spouses are in the spirit world can be blessed with them. You can live with them together now. Pray a lot and offer devotions. Once I pass the age of eighty, the spiritual world and the physical world will become one. If you do not liberate your ancestors, this will be a problem in the spirit world. They will rise up and up, even from the very bottom of hell. In the past, they could only run errands. They could not go anywhere. But I have pulled down those barriers. It sounds like it cannot be true, but wait and see; that is the way it is. I know how the spirit world is. Be careful how you live, or your descendants will be limited.
So find the lord of love. If a couple does not have children, they will never know that kind of love. Without a man, a woman cannot know love. Adam and Eve were to have had an absolute family. That first love is important. You must’ devote yourselves to your parents and become sons and daughters who liberate God, experience love as children, brothers and sisters, couples and parents. Parents feel that kind of love through their children. Children can experience children’s love and brother-and-sister’s love.
You must become people who take the position of being the lords of true love. In the human world, without parents and without the love of a husband or wife, without brothers and sisters and children you cannot go to heaven. You need three generations: grandparents, parents and children, the four position foundation. There are the four realms of heart. Without the True Father you cannot restore the four kinds of love. Unless you restore these four kinds of love-children’s love, siblings’ love, couples’ love and parents’ love-you can-not go into the Garden of Eden.
All the children I loved so much were entrusted to the archangel, but things went wrong. Are you going to be archangels? You have to progress according to the proper formula. The owner, or lord, of love begins within oneself. It begins from a man and a woman. It begins with the time of childhood, passes through the period of brother and sister, couple and parents. When we become parents, we bear fruit, and the whole cycle begins again. We have to become the lords and owners of children’s love, sibling love, couples’ love and parents’ love. We cannot change our brothers and sisters and our parents. We cannot change the fact that our children exist. Those kinds of love cannot be changed.
We have to study again about love. We have lost the true mystery of love. The mystery of a woman’s love cannot be described in a book. It is greater than the flavor of honey to a bee. Even people who cannot hear can know the taste of love. People who are handicapped can know the taste of love. When you begin to love, the man wants to follow the woman and the woman wants to follow the man, and then they want to get married. Everyone has to marry outside of their own home. Migratory birds fly such long distances and then return to have their young. They become very strong. If we marry someone from far away from our own home, we will have better children. North and south should marry-and east and west. And then everything can change. When a man and woman many, they fall into love together. A man and woman need to suit each other. Things must be in balance. If someone has a very flat face they should marry someone who has a narrower and more pointed face. So an eastern and a western person might marry. I have also brought many black and white people together in marriage.
Some women are not very capable of having children, but I match them with men who are able to father a child through just one sexual encounter. Usually to make a baby there should be several hundred million sperm, but Japanese men often have fewer. That is why I need to give the Japanese wives Korean husbands!

Even if children are spanked by their mother they still follow her and hold onto her skirts. There is no way you can separate them. The relationship between parents and children cannot be broken. Now scientists are cloning animals. But a human being should not be cloned. You have to engraft yourselves into me. You are not Koreans, and you are not Japanese: you are people of the Kingdom of Heaven. Think that you have all been engrafted.
Do you understand now about the lords of love? One cannot find love by oneself; it is found through an object. I am in the Lord’s position, but it is the children and the mother who establish that position. The mother can find her love in the son’s heart; it is not her own. You cannot look down on or ignore your son. The son’s love and the parent’s love must not be lost. That is what is important. When you go home, you have to ask yourself: am I from Satan’s side or from Heaven’s side which can multiply? You need to know this. So love is neither from oneself nor for oneself.
As a man, you can become a husband. As a woman, you can become a wife and you can have sons and daughters and become a lord of love. Can the lords of love be cast out? No they cannot be.
We can all become mothers and fathers, couples and brothers and sisters. We have to take that public responsibility from generation to generation, and we must know that we can represent God. Love is not for ourselves. With that kind of tradition can we cheat on our husband or wife? If we go that way, we are like a sheep going into a lion’s or wolf’s den. Love does not start from oneself. There is no principle like that. That is why widows, widowers and people who do not marry are to be pitied. They have no place to settle in love, no place to dwell in love. They have no one to love, so they just fade away. They have no foundation for eternal existence. It is through your wife or husband that your couple’s love begins, and mother and father’s love begins-whereby parents can love their children. Do you understand?
We must love the universe. We give our life element for the universe and experience true love. This establishes the tradition of true love. The person who is willing to die can live and the one who seeks to live may die. Have you been willing to die? In the Old and New Testament ages God taught us about this. God and Satan divided the world in this way because of Adam and Eve who did not fulfill their public responsibility. Therefore the things of creation were sacrificed in the Old Testament Age, the individual in the New Testament Age, and the couple or family in the Completed Testament Age. All of us belong to God and must restore every-thing to its original position. This is an age in which we must offer everything-all things and our families to God. We must become one. All people who are blessed in the Unification sphere must go beyond and become one, follow this formula course and establish the Kingdom of God.
So again, the person who is the lord of love in the family must also become the lord of love in the nation and in the world and must have even more love than the Messiah. That is an expansion of this love; it is the same kind of love. We invest in the family with the same kind of energy, and this expands to the world level. Love is the ideal. You must become God’s special assistant. In that way you can begin to liberate love itself, and God. We can achieve the liberation of the earthly world and spirit world. We must live for the sake of the nation and the world. That is the point of the age of love. That is what can bring about liberation. As a birthday gift for my eightieth birthday, I think you should begin to represent me as lords of love. Now we will pray.
