Good morning, brothers and sisters. Let us prepare ourselves and offer kyung bae from the waist to our True Parents on their birthday. Let us wish our True Parents a happy birthday. Thank you. Please have a seat. We are going to invite our True Parents to cut their birthday cake. Let’s stand up. [“Happy Birthday” is sung three times, followed by clapping, cheering, whistling.]
Now, two of our second generation blessed couples from the 360,000 Couples Blessing will offer flowers and gifts to True Parents.
At this point we would like to present to True Parents a plaque on behalf of the United Nations Association. It is a human rights award from the United Nations Association. Another significant plaque is presented to True Parents on behalf of 103 Christian ministers in the United States of America who have received the Blessing from True Parents. The Kingdom of God has begun. Dr. Richard Rubenstein, the president of Bridgeport University, will present a gift on behalf of all Bridgeport students and faculty.
At this point we would like to invite up Yoshimi Kadota, who is a graduate of the Kunitachi Conservatory of Music and a member of the NikkiKhi Opera of Japan. She will sing a song beloved by our True Parents and will be accompanied on the piano by Rikako Asanuma.

Please allow me the distinct honor and privilege of introducing the Continental Director of HSA-UWC for North America, Rev. Joong Hyun Pak, who will introduce our True Parents.
Rev. Pak: Dear brothers and sisters, I am unworthy to introduce my True Parents and yours. We are indeed honored to attend and participate in this historical True Parents’ Birthday celebration in 1997 here in this great world capital of New York City. It is impossible to explain in any human language the depth and historical value of our True Parents. I would not know where to begin. They are the culmination of 6,000 years of biblical history. They have been sent by God Almighty to conclude salvation history makers and unifiers in all of history than True Parents.
True Father was born in the Chungju district of North Korea in 1920, on January 6 by the lunar calendar. True Mother was born in the Anju district of North Korea in 1943, on January 6 by the lunar calendar. How many couples called by God have the sa1ne day of birth? Not only that, they were born in neighboring provinces. Together they have devoted their entire lives to establishing world peace and bringing God’s Kingdom to the world.
Prior to the independence of Korea in 1945, True Father prepared for his great public mission. He began this preparation in Korea and Japan with deep prayer and meditation. During that time, he received unspeakable persecution from Satan. In 1945, he began his public mission in Pyongyang, with about twenty followers. He was imprisoned by the communists for three years in Hungnam prison, where he suffered to near death.
After liberation from Hungnam prison during the Korean War in 1950, True Father left for South Korea. Fifty-five days later, in January of 1951, he arrived in Pusan. There he labored as a dock worker from August of that year until May of 1952. There he wrote the original Divine Principle.
On May 1, 1954, in Seoul, he established the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity, also known as the Unification Church. His ministry spread like wildfire which flew far and wide so quickly that the religious and political authorities were shocked. On July 1, 1955, True Father was jailed, but then released after just three months due to his innocence. In 1957, he sent out 120 missionaries to cities and villages throughout South Korea. On June 15, 1958, he sent the first missionaries to Japan. On July 2, 1959, he sent the first missionaries to America, and in 1975, he sent missionary teams out to 120 countries worldwide. These teams consisted of representatives from Japan, America and Germany. Today True Parents are represented by their ardent followers on six continents and in 185 countries throughout the world. Never in human history has any religious founder been represented in every country on earth during his own lifetime.
On April 11, 1960, True Father and True Mother were Blessed in holy matrimony, establishing a true family on the earth and thus beginning God’s tradition of true family life. Through True Father and True Mother, the way was opened for more couples to receive God’s blessing. By miraculous cause known only to God and True Parents, this marriage Blessing first received by three couples in 1960 expanded to an unimaginable 360,000 couples by 1995. This year, in November of 1997, True Parents will give the Blessing to 3.6 million couples. We are witnessing with our own eyes the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
True Father knew human global conflict was coming be-cause of the fallen nature of humankind. So on January 13, 1960, he created the Victory Over Communism (VOC) organization to counter the danger of worldwide communism. He also created CAUSA International in 1981. In April of 1990, True Parents met the president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, in Moscow. In December of 1991, True Parents traveled to Pyongyang, North Korea, to meet President Kim 11 Sung. Through these meetings, our True Parents foresaw the end of seventy years of communist tyranny and opened the way of freedom for half the world’s population.
In order to lay the foundation for a peaceful world, True Parents established the Summit Council for World Peace, the InterReligious Foundation for World Peace, the Women’s Federation for World Peace, the Youth Federation for World Peace and the Family Federation for World Peace. In addition to these great federations for world peace, our True Parents are creating a home for all human life and efforts through the following: The Washington Times and Segye Times for media and information; Sun Moon University and the University of Bridgeport for international education; The Little Angels, the Universal Ballet and the New York City Symphony for the arts; and the Han Madang Games and IL Hwa Cheonma Soccer Team for sports. Our True Parents’ work covers all human life and efforts. At the end of this year, the World Culture and Sports Festival will be held in our nation’s capital. The great est of all these contributions toward world peace will be the Blessing of 3.6 million couples.
My dear brothers and sisters, in conclusion, as John wrote of Jesus (John 21:25), “There are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” So history will record our True Parents. Let us now all thank them!
To deliver the birthday address, I would like to invite to the stage a trusted aide associate and translator of Rev. Moon, Mr. Peter Kim. Mr. Kim has been working with Rev. Moon for years, even taking care of his family in his absence on occasion. Please welcome Mr. Peter Kim. [Clapping]
Peter Kim: This morning at the 7:00 a.m. Pledge Service, True Father already gave a very significant message to all the members in the world. That is why we are a little late coming here. True Father has instructed us to share the same message which he gave on January 2, the Day of Victory of Love, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. [Peter Kim gave an extemporaneous translation from the Korean text. After a brief reading of Father’s speech, Father came up on the stage and the audience cheered and clapped.]

All Creation is Mobilized for Love
Father: The providence of salvation is the providence of restoration, which is equal to the providence of recreation. Restoration is, of course, the providence of restoration through indemnity. That requires going through stages. Restoration through indemnity means to restore the original place lost because of the fall of man. That is why we call the providence of restoration through indemnity the providence of recreation, recreating the original state of God’s creation. In order to re-create, we have to understand how God originally created.
One of the principles of God’s creation was His need for a love partner. Modern theology does not understand that God needs a love partner. Everyone, regardless of whether they are man or woman, seeks love. We all have life. We all have lineage which is carried on through sexual intercourse, the union of sperm and egg. We all have conscience, don’t we? But if I challenge you, “Can you see love, can you see life, can you see lineage?” no one can answer “Yes.” Can you see your conscience? We cannot see any of these four aspects of ourselves. We cannot touch them.
Why can’t we feel their existence? Gravity affects every square centimeter of our skin, but because of this total balance we do not feel gravity. Our eyes keep blinking thousands of times a day, but we don’t feel it because we are totally one with this function of our eyes. Also, when we put our right hand upon the left side of our chest, there is a heartbeat. With a stethoscope, we can hear it like a bomb exploding, but in our daily life we cannot even feel it. If I touch one strand of my hair, I can immediately feel that because it breaks the balance. But our heartbeat is totally in balance with all functions of our body, and sometimes we do not think about it for months. Isn’t it true? So where there is perfect balance, you do not see any difference. Even when you put something between your palms and you put your palms together, once there is perfect balance, you do not feel anything in between.
So whom do you resemble? Before we talk about God, you resemble your parents. In many ways, each of us resembles our parents but we do not feel this because we are one with our parents. Again, we all have life, love, lineage and conscience, yet we do not often feel them because they are totally one with us in balance. What does our life, love, lineage and conscience resemble? God. Within God are life, love, lineage and conscience, yet because they are in total balance within God, He does not feel them either. He cannot feel excitement, love and joy by Himself. That is why He saw the necessity of creating His partner. In order to feel the stimulating power of love, lineage, life and conscience, God created a love partner. God formed the environment first, creating the sun, air, water and soil in preparation for humankind. Without these four basic elements, no life can exist. If we remove any one of these elements, life cannot exist.
For example, if we take away the light, life cannot exist, and if we eliminate water, no life can exist. We may think our head is solid, but if we really look into it, there are water, air, light, and the elements of the soil. In the environment, there is always a formula which consists of subject and object. Even in the mineral world, we can see subject and object pairs such as plus ions and minus ions. In the plant kingdom, there are stamen and pistil. In the animal kingdom, there are male and female. Among human beings, there are men and women. The entire spectrum of creation exists in subject/ object relationships. We all exist within the boundary of this formula. Do you understand?
God created this entire world in subject/object pairs because He wanted to see love relationships. In order to achieve a love relationship, there must be give and take between subject and object. Without subject/ object relationships, there cannot be the give and take which creates the stimulating power of love. That is why even in the mineral kingdom, there are always subject/ object relationships and give and take action. The action of give and take occurs constantly, and subject and object revolve and form a sphere which exists in eternity, centering on true love. This creates the stimulating power of love, life, lineage and conscience. Male and female connect centering on love. This produces the power of love, life, lineage, conscience, and God. The original root connects everything vertically to the highest level of creation, which is humankind.
In the creation, there are many different levels of subject and object relationships, and the higher level always absorbs the lower level. It is somewhat like the food chain. Plants grow by absorbing resources and nutrients from the mineral kingdom. Insects eat plants, small birds eat small insects, and large birds such as eagles and hawks catch the small birds. You can see this phenomenon all over the animal kingdom. If there is a mouse, a bigger animal comes and eats it. Eventually, tigers and lions eat the small animals.
Then who is the king of the entire animal kingdom? The human being. We could say that the most evil animal in the world is the human being because human beings kill all kinds of animals and eventually eat them. Human beings can be the most brutal animal. Then who is supposed to eat human beings if that is the formula? God.
Darwin’s evolutionary theory says that the strong overcome the weak. If we stick with this theory, then the strong can always eat or destroy the weak. However, we must understand that the ultimate goal and purpose of all levels of creation is to connect with the original point of God’s creation of life, love, lineage and conscience. The goal of even the mineral kingdom is the original point of God’s creation of love, life, lineage and conscience. The same thing applies to the plant kingdom, the animal kingdom and humankind. We all have the same goal: the original point of God’s life, love, lineage and conscience.
There is a certain route or ladder for reaching the original point. Minerals have to go through plants, plants are eaten by insects and small animals, small animals are taken by big animals, and big animals are absorbed by human beings. In theory, all will eventually become part of human beings and will be able to reach that fundamental goal along with us when we reach it. So when minerals are absorbed by plants, minerals are in the position of minus and the plants are in the position of plus. Thus minerals are always going toward the position of plus and have that constant desire to be absorbed by this plus in order to reach their goal.
While minerals are being absorbed by plants they form many different shapes. They become part of flowers, trees and fruits with many different types and tastes. They are proud of themselves and say, “In order to reach that goal, I became a beautiful flower” or “I became a delicious fruit to reach that goal.” By the same token, when the plants are absorbed by the animals, they feel proud of themselves and say, “I am part of this deer which will lead me to my goal.” These minerals and plants in the deer’s body all desire to be taken by a higher dimensional animal, such as a tiger or lion, so that they can keep going up the ladder. But if there is a choice, those elements of the deer all want to be cut and eaten by the highest created being, which is the human being, because the human being has direct access to the original point of creation.
God’s substantial body contains the original place of life, love, lineage and conscience. All these animals desire to become part of the substantial God, which is our ancestors’ sexual organ. That is the palace of love, life, lineage and conscience. How precious that place is! All the minerals, plants and animals are being mobilized to complete this substantial portion of the living God, which is our sexual organ.
There are two kinds of sexual organs, male and female. God originally divided the sexual organs into two and put distance between them so that their coming together might produce stimulation and excitement. That is what God want-ed. So why do we have a sexual organ? Because of love, be-cause of life, because of lineage and because of conscience. Without going through that organ, we cannot expect life, love, lineage and conscience. A girl may have love, life, lineage and conscience, but by herself she cannot feel any excitement in having them. No matter how high she may jump, no excitement comes by herself. However, if there is a yoW1gman who can stimulate her life, love, lineage and conscience, all these four assets will combine and explode like an atom bomb m front of him. And if that boy happens to be handsome, the powerful explosion will be even greater.
We find the same phenomena in nature. When it rains, you see lightning and thunder. The natural world reacts the same. Do you understand? Even though a man has life, love, lineage and conscience, and tries to jump to the height of his life, love and lineage, nothing happens. He needs a partner, a woman, in order to have such stimulating joy and pleasure. All the rest of creation beginning with the mineral kingdom, plant kingdom and animal kingdom are being mobilized, step by step, to reach that ideal of God’s love. The desire of the small-est ion is to become a part of a human being’s sexual organ. Do you suppose it was easier for God to create our five senses or our sexual organ? The only connecting place is the sexual organ. There you create love, life, lineage and conscience. That is where the baby is created. Without that, there would be no human beings. Without that, all creation would stop. People have not known that the sexual organs are the most precious place. The sexual organs are the truth factory.
Searching for Eternal, Absolute Love
The conclusion is this: There is one fact that we must under-stand clearly. The subject does not exist for the sake of the subject. Likewise, man’s sexual organ is not for the sake of the man but for his wife. Only one woman is to be the owner, not two. Is this clear? The absolute, unique and unchanging owner of the man’s sexual organ is woman. The absolute, unique and unchanging owner of the woman’s sexual organ is man. Nothing can change that. Even God cannot change it. It is forever powerful and stimulating. It is the love king’s place, the life king’s place, the lineage king’s place, the conscience king’s place. You cannot exchange this precious place with anyone. You cannot exchange its value for the universe. God’s place of settlement is the human sexual organ. No matter how sweet they are, no one can hold that place. God set up power in a man’s sexual organ in a safe place, to be guarded by his wife, not any other woman, only one wife, forever.
Everyone wants absolute love, even world famous religious leaders. Leaders did not know the formula. They thought they owned it. They did not know that the spouse holds the key and is the most precious owner.
If you ask someone, “Do you want to have two fathers or two mothers?” they will say “No.” If you ask, “Do you want one mother and one father forever?” everyone will say “Yes” immediately. That means you cannot divorce. The fallen world’s formula is to break up the family. The ownership is reversed and man thinks his sexual organ is for himself and a woman thinks her sexual organ is for herself. This is a mistake. The original place of settlement expands to the family, nation and world, and becomes the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. God controls everything through a high-level standard of truth.
Woman is small compared to man. True love can control even God. Two beings become one, centering on true love. They become eternal love partners and eternal love owners. Partner means “mine forever.” God descends there. Do not ever forget, keep your absolute position as the absolute love owner to your spouse.
Those who want to divorce, show your hands. Who wants to practice free sex? What about becoming gay or lesbian? That road leads to the bottom of hell. It goes against the principle of creation. Therefore, do you have the right to fool around? No, absolutely not.
I am teaching such a deep, ultimate truth to humankind, yet the Unification Church has been called all kinds of dirty names. When God sees people doing this, do you think He is happy? Do you think God will help the Unification Church to prosper, or will He come and destroy it? The Unification Church has been growing and prospering in the midst of the worst kind of persecution because God took its opponents’ fortune and added more fortune and prosperity upon the Unification Church. That is the way we have been prospering.
Suppose the American people propose, “Rev. Moon, why don’t you give up your position as True Parents and become the president of the United States of America?” Do you think I would embrace their proposal or reject it? True Parents are absolute, forever and eternally one. The individual viewpoint is forever one. The family viewpoint is forever one. The nation-al viewpoint is forever one. The world viewpoint is forever one. All creation’s viewpoint is forever one. When I proclaimed myself to be the True Parent of mankind, many people spit at me and said, “What do you mean by ‘True Parents’?” But wait and see; they are the ones who will decline.
In the Garden of Eden, the original couple and original family were lost, and we have to find them by going through the course of indemnity. In these last days, I have come as True Parents and am giving the blessing to humankind so that everyone’s sins can be forgiven and they can become original couples and original families. That is why I am holding the 3.6 Million Couples Blessing this year. [Clapping]
You are clapping with excitement, but I feel miserable. Who recognizes the value of the Blessing? I have overcome all the hurdles and difficulties and hills of persecution all these years and have laid a strong enough foundation to launch this incredible providential campaign for 3.6 million couples. You clap, and many dignitaries recognize it, but I had to pay an incredible amount of indemnity to do this.
Verifying The Truth
Because we resemble God, that means God resembles us, so God must have eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands and fingers. If God looks at this world, where can He find the ideal man, the ideal family and the ideal tribe, nation and world that He originally desired? God cannot tolerate this evil world so God closes His eyes, shuts His ears and even pinches His nose so that He does not have to smell this rotten world. If God is truly angry about this rotten world, He may stomp on all humanity and kill everyone at once, but God cannot do that because He is a God of love. So God turns His back and stays far from humankind for now.
Adam and Eve gave birth to their children only after being chased out of the Garden. In other words, the children of Adam and Eve did not have anything to do with God. God did not want to see these satanic children being born. The first couple bore children that were not connected with the original ideal of God’s love, God’s life, God’s lineage, God’s conscience. That is why we call this world hell. No matter how famous a minister or theologian you may be, unless we clean up this mess no one can enter the Kingdom of God. This is the absolute truth. Rev. Moon has the right to proclaim that it is the truth, not that it will be or may be.
Someone may say, ”Well, Rev. Moon is like a dictator; he insists upon his own dogma.” But if you do not believe it, die and go to the spirit world and see who is right. I have absolute confidence in this truth from God. That is why even if all five billion people oppose me, I do not care. There is only one True Parents among five billion people.
Do you need True Parents? There should not be any doubt. Even more than my teaching, I, myself, should be the question to you. The substantial body has all truth concentrated into one. You need True Parents!
Adding Excitement to your Marriage
Eve is the one who started this satanic world. I am going to talk about the history of Israel. You do not know the real background of the Israelites. It was hidden before but now I can give a clear explanation. Eve committed sin first. Generally speaking, was it man or woman who actually destroyed the world and pushed it in the wrong direction? Generally speaking, women want to take everything easy, have a good time, eat delicious food, wear luxurious clothes, and be admired by all the men. We can conclude that women are the first target of Satan. More than men, you women are connected to Satan.
Women usually like to wear rings, necklaces and earrings. Women act like a man’s necklace by hanging onto his neck. I want to give you a beautiful anecdote. During the Vietnam War, thousands and thousands of soldiers from America went to help the democratic side of Vietnam. And after the war was over, most of them returned home. One wife dressed for her husband’s return with expensive clothing, a necklace, earrings and rings. She was waiting at the airport, but her husband did not come down the ramp. Everyone else found her husband and left smiling with excitement; however, this woman could not find her husband. Then, at the end of the line, a small, shabby-looking soldier came down the ramp and walked by her. In the beginning she did not realize that he was her husband, but as she looked at him more carefully, she suddenly recognized him. He was sweaty; his uniform was dirty; there was nothing about him to praise. But as soon as she realized that he was her husband, she did not think about his clothing but ran to him and jumped on him and hung onto him like a necklace. At that moment, the husband smiled and embraced his wife and gave her the best kind of hug. The wife was so moved that while they were hugging each other, she lifted up her right leg and they spun around 360 degrees. This is the best piece of art.
When that happens to you, you women should not have a big waist and tummy because it would be uncomfortable for both of you to make a circle. If you have a slim waist, you can keep moving forever!
Here is a way to make your life more exciting and happy: Whenever your husband comes home from a long journey or after work, don’t just ignore him but run to him and make yourself like a necklace. Then you will have a much happier life. You ministers go try it. If your wife wears a pearl neck-lace this long and you spin around hugging each other, this necklace will follow you. What a beautiful phenomenon! Whether you are a young woman, a middle-aged woman, or a grandmother, you live hanging onto your partner’s love. Without that, your life is empty. If you lose the grip on his love, your family breaks down.
Keeping the Commandment
Regarding restoration through indemnity, when we look at the Garden of Eden, was Eve’s behavior evil or good; a good act or bad act?
In the Garden of Eden, how many male figures were there? Five, including God, Adam, and three archangels. How many women? Only one. With five male figures, and only one woman, do you think God felt safe to leave Eve alone in the middle of the Garden of Eden? If you were in the position of God, would you feel at ease? Then, from whom would you try to protect this woman? You know that she is supposed to grow up and become the closest person to you-your spouse in a spiritual sense. When the master of the house leaves for some purpose or journey, he gives final words of caution to the closest per-son to him, either his wife or children, not his servant or driver. That is why God gave the commandment not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to Adam and Eve rather than to the archangel.
Then what is the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil? The bride wants to meet the bridegroom. Christianity brought only spiritual salvation, so Christianity needed the substantial body, the substantial figure of the Lord.
On the other side, Japan, Germany and Italy were exactly the opposite of the Allies. Japan is an island country, and Hitler was the Abel figure on Satan’s side. All killed Christians.
Right after World War II, one world should have been formed under God. For the first time in history, a Christian world culture appeared. God made a unified world for the sake of the bridegroom. If the Allies had received and accept-ed the Lord of the Second Advent, then the entire world would have been restored.
However, the Christians were waiting for the Lord of the Second Advent to come on the clouds and they did not know the reality. At the time of Jesus, the Israelites were waiting for Elijah to return the way he ascended, but John the Baptist came in the place of Elijah. By the same token, instead of waiting for the Lord of the Second Advent to come on the clouds, Christians should have realized that Rev. Moon came as the Lord of the Second Advent to work with them and to restore humanity. I had to come in the flesh in order to indemnify what happened at the time of Jesus Christ. Instead of coming in the spirit, I came in flesh.
No one knew how to unite the communist world and the free world. I was the only one who knew, but I was rejected. Jesus Christ wanted to embrace the right-side thief and the left-side thief, who represented the right wing and left wing in his time, and build one world under God. However, that did not take place. The division between right wing and left wing expanded to the worldwide level, becoming the communist world and democratic free world.
I came to unite them and rebuild the one world under God, which is the original world God wanted, beginning with the restoration of individuals, families, tribes, nations and eventually the world. In order to do that, I made a 360-degree circle on each level and turned it around to God’s side. I formed the family base, national base and worldwide base.
The unique Authority of True Parents
Eventually, every couple will understand this truth, and everyone in the fallen world will want to receive the Blessing and be engrafted to the blood lineage on God’s side. Through these Blessing ceremonies, I am doing a cleanup job from the individual level to the family, tribal, national, and worldwide levels. Once the 3.6 Million Couples Blessing is accomplished, we can bless 36 million couples within six months. Suppose we reach that goal this year and the Blessing becomes a worldwide fad, like a heavenly wind sweeping all over the world. Then everyone from elementary school children to high school and college kids will start asking, ”What is the meaning of the Unification Church marriage? Is that marriage better than the secular way of marriage?” What kind of answer do you think they will get? As you know, in the beginning of human history the seed of evil was sown, and the secular world is reaping the evil fruits of decadence. But God cannot intervene, just as He could not intervene at the fall of Adam and Eve. The only ones who have the right and knowledge to intervene and correct these problems are the True Parents. No matter how much power and authority God has, He cannot touch fallen couples. Do you understand? Evil parents with their evil love, evil life, evil lineage and evil conscience cannot connect with God’s ideal. God cannot touch the worst place.
I True Parents come to connect the fallen world with the heavenly blood lineage. True Parents connect blessed couples with God’s true lineage. Through the Blessing, God can connect with humankind. Once the fallen marriage system is corrected, God can welcome everything. True Parents bring the solution to every mistake with true love, true life, true lineage and true conscience. The evil tree was cut down and a new, godly tree has been made.
There are those who are older than True Parents such as uncles and grandparents who died long ago, but once True Parents appear in this world, they all become True Parents’ children and grandchildren downwards, and they join the new lineage coming from True Parents because one line to God has to be established. Until now, there were two lines: Satan’s lineage and the lineage God prepared to save the Christian world. These two lineages eventually have to form one single line. That is why True Parents are necessary.
Satanic children have to be restored so that they can form one straight line behind True Parents and follow True Parents to the Kingdom. The Last Days means this crossing point: this satanic world has been dominating all human history, but in the Last Days the heavenly line crosses over and goes up while the satanic line declines. From this crossing point, we can expand from the individual level to the levels of family, tribe, nation and world, centered on the one direction of true love. We have to totally negate ourselves in order to join this heavenly line. As individuals you have to deny yourself, and at the family level you have to deny your family. This continues all the way to the worldwide level, forming eight stages of negation. Most religions encourage people to leave their family, their society, their nation and their world. The secular world is connected to Satan, so you have to leave Satan’s realm-leave your family, your society, your tribe and your nation. Furthermore, you have to remain celibate and live as a monk or a nun. This kind of life has been emphasized through-out religious history.
God has been alone. Before True Parents appeared, how could people be allowed to marry and multiply children? Many priests and even bishops practice homosexuality; who knows how many of them have the HIV virus. On the other hand, the Unification Church is directing its members to go back to their hometowns, become tribal messiahs, and witness to people about the marriage Blessing. Centering on True Parents, everything can be connected. Even prominent theologians cannot deny this teaching.
The Importance of Restoring Lineage
There are five billion people, and none of them have entered the Kingdom of God. The elder son, elder king and elder parent on the satanic side have to be restored back to this heavenly line. We have to restore fallen families back to heavenly families. How can we restore the two different types of mothers and children? Through the reversal process, the elder son should become the younger son and the younger son should take the elder son’s position; the father should become the son, and the son should become the father.
Jacob was the head of the tribe, while Adam was the head of the family. So Jacob had to implement this course of restoration. In the Garden of Eden, Eve deceived Adam (the elder son) and God (the Father) and turned the entire family over to Satan. Therefore, Rebecca cheated the elder son (Esau) and his father (Isaac), and gave the providence back to the younger son (Jacob) instead of Satan. That was the reversal course. That is the course of indemnity.
A similar thing happened with Tamar, who was in the grand-daughter’s position. Tamar understood that the Israelites were the most important tribe. No matter how great the difficulty, she wanted to pass on the blood lineage of the chosen tribe. Rebecca secretly helped Tamar. Jacob inherited the birthright at the age of forty, but the original fallen base was planted in the woman’s womb. Tamar’s mission was to have brothers exchange the birthright in the womb. Tamar’s first and second husbands died. The family worried that if they gave her their third son, their lineage would be cut off. Judah did not want that, so he did not permit his third son to marry Tamar. Originally, Eve cheated on the elder son and the father. For Tamar, the only hope to continue the lineage was through the father. By pretending to be a prostitute and connecting with Judah, she conceived twin boys. In Tamar’s womb the brothers were fighting. Like Rebecca, Tamar asked God why the brothers were fighting, and she received the same kind of answer. Perez stretched out his hand and the midwife tied a string on it, but he pulled his hand back; then Zerah, the other younger brother, was born first. From that exchange, a new tradition started.
The Israelites were based on a victorious blood lineage. From this chosen nation came the Messiah. Through this complicated course of restoration through indemnity, finally Jesus Christ came. Holy Mother Mary had to indemnify Tamar’s course before she gave birth to Jesus Christ.
Searching to a place of Settlement
The Roman Empire had expanded and Jesus needed a national-level foundation in order to deal with it. If Jesus Christ had been supported by the Israelites and Judaism, he could have conquered the Roman Empire within seven years. But Jesus Christ was crucified. Since then, the Jewish people have been wandering, and millions and millions of people have been killed. Jesus came to restore the elder son’s position, the worldwide parents’ position, and world kingship. The Israelites were in Cain’s position and Judaism was in Abel’s position. No matter how powerful the Roman Empire was, it did not have the iron pillar of true love as its support and thus fell down. Jesus could have connected with leaders of Judaism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, and high-level leaders would have told their followers to connect with Jesus. With the support of the eastern world, they could have pushed down Satan’s side.
After Jesus died on the cross, however, Asia was lost as the original place of settlement. America and Protestantism are the new Abels, the leaders of the Christian world. Jesus was crucified, separating body and mind. When the Allies defeated the Axis countries, mind and body were united, making a bride culture, the Christian world, one world under God. Those countries were prepared to receive the Lord of the Second Advent.
The Second Advent of the Messiah is the True Parents. Christians believe that Jesus is coming on the clouds, based on the teaching of the Bible. They do not know God’s real concept. Only God, Satan and True Parents know it. At that time, there were some 800 million Christians, and they would have been blessed at one time had they followed me. Within seven years the Kingdom of Heaven would have come. With Christians and people of all the other isms united with me, Satan would have been chased out. Only one man sent by God, Rev. Moon, came as the bridegroom and the center of the bride culture.
Without true love, the mind and body have no safe foundation for settlement. Fifty years ago, the Christian world opposed me. All humankind belonged to Satan’s world, but True Parents came to connect them with God’s true lineage and true family. God’s side would have expanded all over the world, automatically erasing Satan’s family and Satan’s humankind.
Now, the last turning point is the 3.6 Million Couples Blessing. Worldwide settlement will begin with True Parents. God’s side knows no differences between white, black, yellow, red or brown. We go beyond race, color, culture, religion, everything, centering on love. True love connects everything. Without True Parents, no one can reach the ideal world. So everyone, regardless of nationality, race or religion, needs True Parents. Once you truly understand the value of True Parents then the entire world can become united. That is the key.
Mary’s role in Restoration
We have to understand the relationship between Mary and Zechariah’s family. If Jacob’s family was the starting point of the tribal level, then Mary and Zechariah’s family were the starting point of the nation-al level providence. In the family of Jacob, Rachel should have become the first wife, not Leah; because that did not happen, the providence failed there. The mother was supposed to assist the daughters to establish the right order. If Rachel’s mother had been totally united with Rachel and pushed Leah away, Rachel could have become the first wife of Jacob, but it was reversed. The same mistake took place at the time of Jacob because of these two wives.
Likewise, Eve was supposed to have been the first wife of Adam, but she became his wife only after having a relationship with Satan, so the order was reversed. Thus, in Jacob’s family the order was to be reversed. At the time of Jesus, the order had to be straightened out.
The original wife’s position was taken by Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah, and John the Baptist was her son; through them there was no way of completing the restoration. The heavenly lineage had to be established through the younger sister’s position. Because of the fall, restoration comes through the line of the second wife or concubine. Leah hated her younger sister, Rachel, and completely dominated Jacob and bore ten children. Only two of Jacob’s children were born through Rachel. This time, Elizabeth, who was the wife of Zechariah, volunteered to introduce the Virgin Mary to Zechariah, because of the revelation from God.
Then she allowed Mary to stay in her family for three months, because a woman does not become pregnant after staying just one night. If you really dig into the Bible, you can find this. During her three-month stay at Zechariah’s home, Mary became pregnant. Mary had the responsibility to indemnify the failure of Eve and also the failure in the relationship between Rachel and Leah at the time of Jacob. She had to mislead her husband, Joseph, and her parent figure. Do you understand? Without understanding, you cannot change your lineage and return to the original ideal of creation. God gave this revelation to me. If you have any doubts, you must ask God.
Because of Mary’s success in reversing the course which failed at the time of Eve, Rebecca and Tamar, the son Mary had in her womb was sanctified on the national level. That is why she could give birth to the holy son, Jesus Christ. Do you understand that Mary conceived Jesus without Satan’s accusation? God controlled everything. Jesus was born as God’s only begotten son. Jesus was born of the original lineage in the position of king. The first begotten son was born to take the position of King of Kings and rule over Satan’s world. Ask a Christian what a begotten son is. What does begotten son mean? Do you know that? Read Divine Principle precisely. That book is right on. There is no escape from restoration through indemnity. We have to go through that course. Do you understand?
The Purpose of the Second Advent
Because Jesus Christ went into the spirit world without establishing his own family in the physical world, he has to descend again. Because Jesus Christ did not have his family foundation he remains in paradise, not in the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember, on the cross Jesus Christ told the thief on his right hand side, “You will be with me in paradise,” not in the Kingdom of Heaven. Why? Because the Kingdom of Heaven is open only to those who have perfected the family level connected to God’s blood lineage-the kind of family which is living with God.
The Second Advent comes to find his bride. Jesus Christ has to come again to find his bride and establish his family. That is the holy matrimony of Jesus Christ. Because he could not find his bride in this physical world, he has to come again. Jesus Christ gave Peter the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and said, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” This world is such a decadent, evil world, so we have to solve the problem here on earth. Then this cleansed world will eventually be elevated to the Kingdom of Heaven. God has to restore His family, His nation and His world right here in the physical realm. Where did He lose His world and His family? Up in heaven? No. Right here! The disease erupted right here in this physical world so it has to be cured here. We have to untie the knot here in this physical world.
Most religious leaders and Christian leaders do not understand the spirit world. The spirit world and the physical world are like two hands placed together. They are counterparts. Unless we have total unity between mind and body, we cannot unite the spirit world and physical world. Do you want a love partner with two different minds, with a double standard? What about God? Do you think God’s mind and body are separated? God is absolutely one, and upon that foundation He created this entire world. Only human beings, because of the fall, are separated. Therefore, we must become one in mind and body. Only when we become absolutely one can we unite with God and become one with Him. That is our only hope. Satan always tries to divide us.
Unifying Mind and Body
Wherever there is fighting or conflict, Satan is there. Between Protestants and Catholics, there is always conflict and fighting, so God cannot stay with them. If your mind and body are divided, your tribe members are divided, the nation and world are divided, and God is not there. So where is the starting point of peace from the individual level to the world level? Within yourself. That is the starting point. The separation between your mind and body makes trouble all over the world.
How can we unify mind and body? Mind/body unity enables one to connect with God’s vertical realm of love. External wars may cease, but how can you stop the war in your mind? How can you clear up the place of fallen love and find the starting point of victorious true love, making a unified personality? That is the problem. Don’t worry about your nation, about wars, or about heaven. Worry about the most fearful place which is your own body. You need to deny your body and pray deeply. You need to clearly understand how the original mistake was made, how Satan’s love seed was planted. There are two ways of looking, two ways of hearing, two ways of smelling, etc. How can the five senses be unified and become like God’s eyes, God’s nose, God’s mouth, God’s ears, God’s hands? How can you make your body follow the way of your original mind and connect with God’s true love? We lost God’s true love, true lineage and true conscience. This is a miserable situation, a fallen situation, and God hates it.
I have my enemies. Christians may have wanted to kill me, but I want to save this enemy. The worst enemy is what is closest to us, our own body. Our body connects us to Satan’s tribe, nation, world, and cosmos. No matter how famous you think you are, you have to give up your dignity and seek mind/body unity.
For a man, the most fearful enemy is woman. The woman’s sexual organ is like a heavy open mouth, a snake’s open mouth. The most fearful, precious place is the sexual organ. Your destiny is to overcome everything. The owner of the man’s sexual organ is his wife, and the owner of the woman’s sexual organ is her husband. There is only one key, and the spouse owns the key.
In the Last Days, the second generation will lead the world because of restoration through indemnity. Rachel, the second wife of Jacob, was supposed to produce Jacob’s eldest son, but because of the battle between Leah and Rachel, Rachel lost that right. In order to indemnify the failure of Jacob’s family, Elizabeth, who was in the position of Leah, the elder relative of Mary, introduced Mary to her husband, Zechariah, instead of opposing Mary or pushing her away. Thus, the failure in Jacob’s family was restored at the time of Jesus Christ. Jesus came not from the lineage of the first wife but from the second wife or concubine’s line. If Elizabeth could have totally united with Mary, and if Zechariah and John the Baptist had followed her example, Zechariah’s family could have been restored.
You cannot imagine how difficult it was to receive these revelations from God, sort them out, and develop this organized theory. People of the fallen world go their individual ways and believe different things instead of going the right way. I have gone a one way course centering on true love. God’s love way is a one-way course, not two ways, and to follow it requires absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience. The individual sacrifices for the sake of the family, the family sacrifices for the tribe, the tribe sacrifices for the nation, and the nation sacrifices for the world. The world exists for the cosmos. God is there for the sake of true love.
We must obey the true love partner absolutely and eternally. Without one absolute concept, the world cannot be unified. The Christian world does not have this kind of concept. Do you understand clearly?
Eve chased out her original husband and went with the archangel. Therefore, in the Last Days, women, in the position of. Eve, have to abandon the archangel-type husband and receive the Lord of the Second Advent. Free sex, which God hates most, is rampant. God cannot dwell in the realm of free sex. Men live with men, and women live with women; this is lower than the animal standard. People who practice homo-sexuality, whether gay or lesbian, represent archangelic love, because the archangel could not have a love partner. But once they study Divine Principle, even homosexuals change and ask me to help them find a spouse.
Father’s Method of Matching
You are truly blessed because you are sitting in front of True Parents and can receive the Blessing. Therefore, even if True Parents just throw a bunch of candidates’ photos out in the air and match whichever two fall down together, you are still blessed. That much of the blessing is with you. Unification Church members who are spiritually open can see in advance that they will receive a Western spouse, or black spouse, or Oriental spouse. When the real matching time comes, they are surprised to find out that it comes true. How could I know that you had such a dream and vision? Do you have that ability to match people exactly the way it was revealed to them? Until last year, I did not reveal this secret to the world because people considered me crazy. But now, people have come up to the level that they can actually accept this as a reality. That is why I am sharing this bit by bit.
How can I match people exactly the way they were supposed to be matched? Do you want to know the secret? When couples are supposed to be matched in a certain way, my hand goes towards one photo and then another. In the matching, I level the difference between husband and wife; if there is a big gap, through the matching you become equalized. You may be like a mountain and your wife like a valley, but I bring you together and the differences level out. You go through a course of indemnity to find your spouse.
Even if it is painful and you go through much difficulty and hardship, if you and your spouse serve each other as king and queen, then you can expect precious children as princes and princesses from your lineage. That will be the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. God has that kind of purpose for the future generations. When you pay indemnity and make the connection, God gives such precious grace to you.
Resisting Satan’s Temptations
In the Last Days, people are confused. One woman has two husbands, and one husband has two wives. A woman introduces her husband to her friend so that they can sleep together and vice versa. A husband introduces his own wife to one of his friends so they can spend time together on a beach someplace. This takes place among people in high society. When it happens, people lose everything. Because of wrong love relationships, the entire world is in despair. People cannot maintain their family values, their marriage or their parent-child relationships because they cannot find the absolute standard of love within themselves. Once people realize this, they can wake up and be reborn. We have been under bondage, slaves of our bodily desires.
What are Satan’s most fearful weapons? Free sex, drug addiction, alcoholism, and homosexuality. Satan is fully utilizing these weapons during these Last Days to destroy God’s ideal in this physical world. Once you understand this, you have to stand firm and work towards destroying these weapons. Once you start drinking, you find drinking buddies of the opposite sex and go off together. If you continue drinking, are you going downward or upward? Downward. When you practice free sex, soon you have no choice but to go down. You may become high on drugs, but does that mean you are going up? No. This is the net cast by Satan over humanity. When a beautiful woman suddenly catches your attention and smiles like a rising sun, if you pay attention to her you, will be in trouble. If a beautiful woman slips into your bed, how would you deal with her? No matter how beautiful she may be, your love symbol should not be affected at all.
Suppose a thousand of the most beautiful women in the world were all naked and eagerly waiting for you, and some-body threw you naked into the middle of them and you happened to land upon the most beautiful woman, and your love organ and her love organ made contact. Would you be able to keep cool or would your love organ start moving? Ideally, both of you should run away out of fear. That kind of absolute standard is what we need. You will probably go through that kind of test, spiritually. Unless you go through that kind of test, you will never understand the secret of heaven.
Sometimes I sit down with my eyes wide open for thirty minutes or an hour and deal with this kind of spiritual phenomena all over the world and control myself according to this absolute standard. Once I open my arm 180 degrees, no one and nothing can touch me. That is the training I put myself through. I have a special power that no matter how excited and focused I am while doing something, once I set my mind I can turn 180 degrees around and never even think about it. I went to Las Vegas and Hollywood many times in the last twenty years to study that dark world, and once I determined it was enough, I never turned my eyes back to it. Once you clearly understand Satan’s secret place, you can digest and control everything. Without that kind of power, you cannot have a God-centered, powerful personality.
Today is True Parents’ Birthday. Are you celebrating my birthday, or are you making me work? [Laughter] Once I spoke for 16 hours and 40 minutes straight. We have a long way to go to break that record.
Please understand that the course of restoration is difficult and tumultuous, yet I have laid a strong foundation all over the world. I have built a super-highway for you. Now I am cultivating the airways so that you can travel by air.
What do you think I might desire now? Women? No one is as beautiful and good as True Mother! Automobiles? Fifteen years ago when I went to England, they bought the best kind of Rolls Royce but I hardly used it. I could buy a Mercedes Benz 600 series if I wanted to. Nice houses? In Jardim, Brazil, there is a place where we can accommodate over 2,000 people. Jewelry factories? If I wanted jewelry, I could easily get the best quality. Generally speaking, if I really wanted to, I could enjoy all the luxuries in the world. However, I do not like to do that. I want to be able to go around barefoot. Look at how tan my leg is. Sometimes Mother teases me by saying, “If you are the most famous religious leader in the world right now, why don’t you take care of yourself? Look how dark your leg is!”
When I go to Argentina or Montevideo and fish on the beach, there is usually no bathroom. Sometimes even if a woman is close by I close my eyes and relieve myself, expecting her to keep her distance. A fisherman watching that scene might say, “He’s a real man. He has guts. He is a real fisherman. Who is that person?” By mingling with people I become one of them. One fisherman approached me and said, “I heard Rev. Moon sometimes comes around here. Do you know where Rev. Moon is?” He never suspected that Rev. Moon would come there and relieve himself in such a way.
In the 1980s, I spent about nine summers tuna fishing around Gloucester, near Boston. I was so tenacious that I went out every day and became so dark that I looked like an 80-year-old grandpa. Those Boston area fishermen who heard that Rev. Moon sometimes came to fish for tuna saw me sitting on the boat every day but did not recognize me. One day, finally they had the guts to approach my boat and said, “Hey, Grand-pa, do you know when Rev. Moon comes for tuna fishing here?” I said, “Look, Rev. Moon is traveling by airplane; he will never come here.” That is how I could ensure my security. For thirteen years people chanted almost daily, “Rev. Moon, go back home; we don’t need you here fishing.” Yet, they did not know that Rev. Moon was out on the ocean with them, next to their boat!
Developing Strategies to Achieve Your Mission
Sometime I may ask you to go fishing. Somewhere in the middle of downtown I may grab you and give you some specific mission. Will you follow me? You may only get one chance, so would you take it?
No matter what hurdles may be ahead of you, you should be able to overcome them. If it takes strategy, make a strategy to enhance your mission. Your grandparents may suddenly die, your parents may suddenly get killed, you may suddenly lose your spouse. Think of the sadness and suffering you will deal with! Unless you can deal victoriously with miserable situations and do your mission for God with pleasure and joy and happiness, you cannot become the person who can celebrate the Day of Victory of Love.
There should not be any fears or tears. We should experience pleasure and joy. We have to comfort God who has been suffering throughout history. Only by doing so can we turn around this world of hell and make it the Kingdom of God. That is our mission. That is the kind of attitude we should have. Upon True Parents’ victorious foundation, Heung Jin Nim could pass into the spirit world and travel freely between the spirit world and the physical world. He expanded his influence all over the spirit world and became the king there, even embracing Jesus Christ. At the 3.6 Million Couples Blessing, he can give the Blessing in the spirit world. Therefore, in the Unification Church, there is no concept of death. We are living together with the spirit world.
Centering upon God’s true love, I give my blessing upon the Unification Church and its members for long life, lasting peace, and success and victory in restoring this entire world. Amen! Amen! Amen! Hallelujah!
