Russia: Conference for Village Leaders Held in Karelia

The Family Federation with the support of the Women’s Federation held a one-day practical conference in the village of Chalna in the Pryazhinsky District of the Russian Republic of Karelia on November 14, 2019.
Among the participants of the conference were four heads of administration and one deputy head of administration from the Pryazhinsky and Prionezhsky districts of Karelia.
The program was organized by the head of the village of Chalna, Oksana M. Eroshkina, who participated in the FFWPU Moscow conference in September.
The deputy head of the registry office of Petrozavodsk, the capital of Karelia, made a report on the social problems of family and youth.
Then, ideas and educational programs that will help in solving these problems were explained by specialists of the Family Federation and Women’s Federation. Oleg Kuzmin, Artem Mamaev and Olga Vakulinskaya introduced the “Model Village” program to the participants and proposed to combine efforts to implement it.
The conference consisted of two parts: a roundtable and an open lesson for seventh-year students of the Chalninskaya school on “Swearing Is Not Our Format,” presented by WFWP President Olga Vakulinskaya.
As a result of the program, an agreement was made with the heads of local settlements on the organization of joint work in 2020.
