Lithuania: Baltic Summer Camp 2019
By Aram Karagezian, FFWPU Lithuania
From the 30th of June to the 6th of July, 2019, the Baltic Summer Camp 2019 was held in Paūpis, Lithuania, under the motto – “A Heart of Gold in the Lineage of God”. This was the 6th Baltic Summer Camp to be organized, and it was the longest and, with 36 participants and 13 staff members, the largest one to date.
To delve deeper into this years summer motto, each day of the camp had its own theme and was dedicated to it’s respective theme (Total Giving, Thankful Receiving, Absolute Purity, Unbroken Character, Heart of HyoJeong). Participants also had the chance to express themselves through different creative groups, received wonderful lectures and also participated in many games and sports session.
On the last day of the summer camp we had an Il Shim ceremony for the elder blessed children. Two received their purity rings, with seven others renewing their vows. A celebration and our traditional summer camp campfire followed.
Overall, the summer camp was a great success because of the overwhelming and sincere efforts of parents, taking care of and investing into each child so heartistically. We thank God and True Parents for guiding us through this summer camp and pray for ever greater success in the years to come.
