Support the Middle East and their Family Festival for Peace

By Marilyn Angelucci

Every day, news articles about the Middle East portray negativity and distress. The question on everyone’s mind is, “Is it possible to bring peace to the Middle East?”

The Unification movement has directly experienced that peace is possible through interfaith meetings and activities, peace rallies and festivals around the world, and organizations like the Women’s Federation for World Peace, Universal Peace Federation, and others.

For the last three years, FFWPU Middle East has held a Family Festival for Peace where “enemy” countries, such as Turkey, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and a few first world countries have joined together. First- and second-generation Unificationists had the opportunity to meet people from neighboring countries, and found they can love each other as brothers and sisters as one family under God.

The next Family Festival for Peace is a five-day program and will take place at Sile Resort Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey from July 22 to 27. It will consist of educational programs, family activities, interaction and discussion, and plenty of swimming in the Black Sea. For more information or to register for the program, contact Marilyn Angelucci at

As you may know, the economic situation in the Middle East is very poor, especially in Iran due to U.S. sanctions. FFWPU Middle East is asking for your help to make this annual Family Festival for Peace possible.

Let’s support peace in the Middle East through their Go Fund Me page.
