Malaysia: HyoJeong CheonBo Special Event
Prepared by FFWPU Malaysia
In conjunction with HyoJeong CheonBo Asia Tour, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Malaysia organized a two-day HyoJeong CheonBo Malaysia Special Event by the theme ‘Purification of the Mind, Body and Soul’ on 1-2 June 2019 at Kuala Lumpur. With the goal that HyoJeong CheonBo should be for all mankind and not only for unificationists, Malaysian members tried to think out of the box and find ways to make HyoJeong CheonBo universal.
Finally, the hard work of members paid off. Among the 732 participants, 200 were new guests (non-members). They consist of friends and family of our blessed families, various religious groups and organizations. They joined all the sessions including chanyang, lectures, wishpaper offering ceremony, ancestor liberation and blessing.
Malaysia is a multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural country. So the event began with an interfaith invocation participated by religious leaders of the major religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism. This was followed by a graceful water-pouring ceremony by all leaders led by National Leader Rev Yutaka Yamada to symbolize the unity and harmony of all religions and to mark the beginning of the event.
The new guests enjoyed the chanyang sessions and were very touched and inspired by the lectures by Dr Yong, the Asia Pacific Group Chairman, titled ‘The Great Attributes of True Love’. They realized the need to practise true love and even to love the enemy. Besides, Rev. In Cheon Kim and Rev. Edgar Tanate also shared lecture about CheonBo providence and introduction to chanyang respectively.
The HyoJeong CheonBo Special Event in Malaysia was really a great, historical breakthrough as new guests were able to accept True Parents naturally and follow all the traditions and ceremonies (eg. Kyongbae, prayer, cheers of Og Mansei) throughout the program. We realize that True Parents and HyoJeong CheonBo are really universal and can be accepted by all mankind – regardless of race and religion.
